His lyrics are nice but from judging from this song he has the same problem that existed in Dirty Pretty Things, the songs didn't have that edge that was in Babyshambles and the Libertines, like the rhythm never changed and there were no tempo changes, like his style is a bit more straight forward garagey and rock compared to Pete's like acoustic songs with a bunch of unique chords and tempo changes. With that being said you can totally see how the Libertines had that special sound.
