If you watch the last fight against Jason MacDonald, Leben tried to tap out on his own thigh (would've been no point in carrying on anyhow), but he was so dizzy from being choked out that his arm didn't reach. Also, I think he was 16-3 before that fight, not after. No doubt a tough guy though.
Leben is certianly tough, but his striking is hardly technical. He's got heavy-hands and a good chin, which helped him succeed against lower competition, but when your fighting a striker like Anderson Silva those aren't going to help you much.

Leben is certianly tough, but his striking is hardly technical. He's got heavy-hands and a good chin, which helped him succeed against lower competition, but when your fighting a striker like Anderson Silva those aren't going to help you much.

Chris leben is a pretty good fighter , but he need to improve his grownd game , because he is very predicable on his fights , he allways do the same movements to attack his opponents , he allways is looking for the clinch and the stomps and blazing guns , he need more grown game , and more BJJ practice .

Credit to Joe Doersken, he's a tough fighter....his ground game was much better than Leben, and he deserved that win. 'El Dirte' kept his composure even after taking some heavy shots, one of the better fighters from Canada..reppin WPG..way to go Joe!
