  • we already treat illegals and always will ,........he is a lier!!

  • Has anyone of you read the bill, single payer will be a huge plus for insurance companies they will make billions off it. Geeze read before posting garbage

  • "the bill", which one are you referring to? the senate finance committee bill? be specific cowboy

  • No shit...Really? I was starting to get worried for a little bit there, but you showed the beginnings of a nice comeback on your speech tonight, Mr. President. Please don't lose your spine now. This is no time to go wobbly!

  • The problem is the dem congress big ass loby motherfuckers, who dont want health care reform.

  • Republicans are ruled by unaccountable talking heads conducting witch hunts and massive misiformation campaigns. I say it is time to bring the hurt to these fuckers.

  • He doesn't want a partnership, he wants the GOP to become a bunch of sycophants in his ear. Silliness? What else do you expect from Congress? This guy has been President for 8 months now, When the hell is he gonna get off his ass and lead for a change? I hope that he comes out with something clear and concrete tonight that we can debate the merits of an actual plan instead of these pie in the sky pipe dreams coming outta Congress

  • If you;'re not rigid and ideological about this thing - then why don't you entertain the idea of single payer?

  • silliness? what an understatement. the right is but a bunch of crazy pants and tin foil hats.

  • ''...i hope the republican party can rediscover that voice, so they can have a partner in the white house...''

You know what i hope Mr. President,

for you to have a Landslide success with the Health care Reform, so we can start the countdown self destruction of the republican party & faux news can go along with them.

  • WHAT THE FUCK?!!??! are they in some school or something?

  • um yeah did you not hear about the president's speech yesterday to schoolchildren?

  • we voted him into office for change and he backs down when he is bullied by the right. What a fucking coward.

  • We Need A Public Option Period. If we wanted what the republicans had to offer they wouldn't have lost the last election by a landslide. Anyone who wants information about health care reform minus the fear tactics is invited to visit the comment section of my profile. I also have a list of names and numbers of those who are against it... You need to call them and let them know they will be voted out of office.

  • He's Learning!!! I might have an inkling of hope for change left. Don't waste it 'Bama!

  • like i said yesterday you can always count on the republicans to draw ridiculous attention to themselves. they appeared hateful and annoying.

republicans are spreading hate to draw love away from Obama...ONe problem...Hate comes back on the spreader!

  • i dont understand why reform cant be unregulate the insurance companys from state to state trding.. its free and will be an end mono's

  • There is nothing currently stopping insurance companies from operating in any state they like and you can't force companies to operate where they choose not to. You could allow interstate competition between insurance companies, but you can't force them to accept people from other states. Besides is there really that big of a price difference between states? A public option is the only way to bring costs down and move towards universal coverage.

  • Wrong free competition will force them to compete.. your thinking is dangerous

  • There is free competition. A national insurance market increases competition and a public option is simply MORE free competition.

If knowledge is power, I suppose thinking IS dangerous.

  • NOW YOU REALIZED YOU FUCKED UP!!!!!!!

We've been saying this for weeks, and now you let Baucus put out a a steaming pile of diarrhea ooze posing as health care reform that I guarantee will not pass out of committee.

  • Cut the guy a little slack. HE's come out of this looking very reasonable and the GOP has made themselves look like a bunch of nutballs.

  • Public option, bitch!

  • Comment removed

  • No genius. It is because some dems are also being paid by insurance companies.

  • Obama appointed Kathleen Sebelius a known lobbyist for secretary of human health instead of Howard Dean who wanted the position and has been fighting for the public option from the beginning. Why? Smart guys dont make the same mistake twice

  • Ya and Dean is pretty cool. He always to say how he feels. I am running out of answers for this insanity.

  • and you are a fantastic douchebag.

  • The intent of the speech will be to inform about health care? Something BOTH democrats and republicans will understand? Haha good luck with the latter. It's hard to inform a group of people that doesn't want to understand and seriously believes in REDICULOUS things like death panels or the presidents invalid birth certificate... I mean.. wow...

Seriously, those republicans are the laughing stock for the rest of the world.

    Hope Obama kicks ass tonight.

    - from The Netherlands

  • Diadematov, looks like you are a member of the laughing stock. haha

  • @Phyrexious why do you concern yourself with our countries politics ?

    - from the USA

  • @Doggorunning

Short answer? American politics is both interesting and has more comedy value than any comedy show. :)

  • @Phyrexious Yea I guess it's fun for you to see how a real country is run.

  • Oh the irony.

America recently adopted the healthcare system we employ in The Netherlands. The WH consulted with our ministers about our system, and it works great.

Besides it gives a lot of room for the free market to do it's magic. All it adds is some basic rules of engagement to prevent big corps from screwing people over.

  • @Phyrexious Well your system is unconstitutional and will never take effect here. In this country we or should I say about 54% of us like to think and do for ourselves, I do not wish the government to take care of me. Also if we as Americans want a government to take care of us we are FREE to leave and go back to all these wonderful countries that have government run healthcare. I trust any business more than a government, Governments "Govern" not Run, Americans tend to for get this.

  • @Doggorunning

You are one of those misinformed people who only watch FOX aren't you? :)

The system The Netherlands and now also the US has is NOT government run healthcare. To even bring up words like socialism is laughable. All our system does is set up some baseline rules to prevent abuse. Like how companies aren't allowed to use lead based paint on child toys. These kind of rules are needed. Same applies to the rule of no price agreements between companies to form a monopoly.

  • Capitalism works great with some basic rules to channel the greed that is the main drive force. Uncontrolled greed however results in your country being only 36th place in healthcare.

I don't see why Republicans have ANY problem with the system Obama has chosen. Universal healthcare is against Republican values yes, but the current choise isn't. It's capitalism + some basic rules that make it work.

  • @Phyrexious cute :)

Let me guess your one of those misinformed non Americans. Tort reform is needed to lower medical cost in America. This will never happen as long as the Democrats are in power (they if you have not noticed are all Lawyers/law students "Obama"). We have in America the most technically advance medical abilities of any country in the world, to dispute this is laughable. Medical cost has gone down Medical insurance up, the Lawyers are the only ones getting RICH.

  • @Phyrexious the bill was passed, it will be repelled. The States are Suing the Federal Government, see in America you cannot force anyone to do anything. If a citizen does not want healthcare insurance he does not need to purchase it. You and I know that he should but the Government nor I can force my will upon an individual citizen. See these are things that, folks from other countries do not understand. Just as I feel suffocated by your laws, you cannot understand ours. Fair enough.

  • Trust me, the bill will not be repealled. And if Republicans act like sore losers while running on that platform the GOP will end up out of power. Mark my words.

Everyone should have a health ensurance because everyone will get help when it's really needed. No civalized country lets people bleed to death on the streets. This basic care COSTS MONEY. Money they don't pay without an insurance. The new system is very normal in Europe and it works much better.

  • The bottom line is that Obama's HCR choice in the end is the most pro-capitalist system available.

Republicans can't in a million years turn back all the good things that are in the bill. They will fail if they try.

  • @Phyrexious If it works so well why is it that Europeans teeth look so bad? Every country I've been too with government run care the people have wreaked teeth?

As for your country I don't know much about it? Then again tell me when your doctor gets Sued because the color of the room made a patient miscarriage and she wins $2,000,000 you tell me, would that make your Medical cost go up as a country? TORT REFORM is needed

Remember this day cause this Obama care will NEVER go into full swing.

  • What on earth are you talking about? Bad teeth? I've only heared about that as a joke in the movie Austin Powers concerning the British. Have you EVER been outside the USA??? Stop talking about the world like you know it when you've never been outside your little bubble.

  • And I know it's a shock to hear but here in Europe we don't sue anywhere near as much as they do in America. 2 million for a bad collor? Hahaha, maybe if you spend 15 years in jail while being innocent...

Yes America needs some kind of reform on the rediculous claims people are sueing for. That's another system that's f**ked up in the USA. At least the healthcare system has been fixed now. Adding some kind of tort reform is a good option. That doesn't need repealling the whole bill.

  • @Phyrexious Suing is the problem, thank you that was my point. I think your finally getting it. When people come to the Netherlands for medical tourism, they pay a nice price leave and you and the customer benefits from it. In America you have ass holes suing for everything under the sun, which is ruining our healthcare system.

  • You're blind if you think that sueing is the only problem.

Appearantly you think allowing all those pre-existing conditions is normal..?

  • @Phyrexious allowing..... please your boring me. Get yourself a plane ticket and experience life for yourself. You live in a small insignificant country that has none of the global problems of ours. What bothers me is your comparing your healthcare to ours. Apples and Oranges kid. This is like a Candy store telling WalMart how to expand marketing. This is 2 different worlds, I wish it was that simple but TORT reform is a GREAT start.

  • Ah lovely, you're on of those cocky Americans that thinks America is still number one in everything. Good luck with your trillions of dollars debt mate.

  • @Phyrexious It's all a numbers game no worries, we are the most powerful country in the History of Man. I'm proud to say I am not a burden on my country and I help support the fact we are still the most powerful. See you spend all your time attacking me, knocking my country, insults me, calling me a FOX idiot, etc etc... I would like to say sorry for pointing out the fact, that to me your countries option means so little to us. Maybe you should focus on your own county rather than ours

  • I'm not insulting your country, facts aren't an insult. They are reality, you know; something Fox is not showing you.

You want numbers? How about America ranked 36th in healthcare. Good healthcare for only the top incomes is NOT a good healthcare system.

I'm glad Obama finally did something to fix it. And I'm honored that he, unlike you, wasn't too stuborn to look at other countries that have a system that has proven to work.

    Peace.

  • @Phyrexious The Top only ???? Over 70% of the people in the USA are happy with the care, and Obama and his clan passed this bill anyway. Most Americans don't even know who are Vice President is and or follow the News. Obama Bill is about CONTROL it has nothing to do with Healthcare. Your system would not work if people sued Doctors the way they do here. Obama is a very good talker, he wants us to be some ass backward European country

  • Nothing changes to your care if you want to keep the same doctor. Just another of those Fox lies you like to swallow so easily.

Look if you want to be lied to and be angry with a situation that's actually an improvement go ahead, it's your life. Waste your time if you want. The new healthcare is here to stay. Remember that when your GOP party lies in ruins because they tried to repeal it and obstruct everything else.

  • @Phyrexious SAee this is the misinformation you get. The Democrats are done after this, and Obama will go down in history like Carter a total failure!! Obama has the lowest approval rating of an president, even George Bush was higher.

Just like FOX says your a Drone and if Obama sold you shit don't stink you would believe it. Reagan was our last Great President, Clinton was OK, Bush Moron! and Obama he needs to be impeached soon. I don't follow party lines, I love my country not a MAN.

  • @Phyrexious 36 out of 190 not bad for the sake of keeping the government out of my health. Also the fact that Americans are also the fattest country, hurts that number also. That would influence many of the most important statistic in the calculation of that number. Personal responsibility

    We have the best smiles

We have the most Hi tech medical

and with proper planning and a f**king job the best coverage.

    Wow I'm happy with that

  • I'm glad you're happy with that, because you're going to keep it with a better system.

  • @Phyrexious This system does not go into effect until 2014 by then Obama will be gone :)

  • A lot of positive things are already in effect, way before 2014. Whether Obama will be gone in 2012 is to be seen. Right now with the opposition he has I don't think he can lose.

Dogg, just one more question: Do you support Sarah Palin as president?

  • @Phyrexious I disagree with you completely. AND so far 10 states have refused to comply and more are also going to follow suit. Texas might declare it's independence completely

BUT on a side note Sarah Palin, no way!!! She's a good governor but not as a president. She like Obama is a divider not a uniter. To much of a Bible thumper too, I really beleave in the separation of Church/State

  • Haha Texas as independent. Fat chance and good luck finding anyone who cares.

We'll see how things pan out. I'm 100% sure that the bill will continue and the GOP will lose a lot of seats if they continue this anti-bill rampage acting like sour losers.

You have any timeline for your predictions? You know, just so I can message you "I told you so". :)

  • @Phyrexious Sure 2012

I would like to thank Obama for being so radical, no one really understood the reason for the cumbersome voting process till now. Trust for our government and finical system is at an all time low. Thanks to the chosen one Barrack Hussein Obama

  • I wouldn't say chosen one, although compared to Palin or Bush it's not far off.

The image abroad gained an immense popularity boost. But then again it couldn't really get any lower.

Lovely how you spelled out his full name. You're a teabagger right? Or at least think he wasn't born in the usa or is a Moslim or something like that?

  • @Phyrexious No I'm none of these things, I tire of your insults. I guess liberals in other countries all act the same. good day

  • Good to hear you agree that Obama isn't a moslim or from Kenya.

Good luck with the GOP. Hopefully they'll find someone better than Sarah.

  • @Phyrexious Let me see I'm 38 and have spent over 12 years living outside of the USA all over the world. I've lived extendedly in 5 different countries and visited for business and pleasure in the neighborhood of 15 or so countries. I have lived in the States now for the last 4 years. I have also visited every State in the US and territory of the USA. A few of the countries I have not been too is England, Italy, Netherlands, Ireland and Greenland.

  • @Phyrexious If I could add to that in the year 2009 I spent 2 months in Australia and 6 months in South Korea. I also for pleasure went to Japan for a week and Melissa. Some BIG bubble I live in but I guess with all your real world experience you will tell me about which systems work best right. I have fallen under 4 different countries healthcare systems, the USA's is by far the best. TORT REFORM is needed that simple, my opinions are based and true life events not some book or TV show

  • Appearantly you've learned nothing. Might as well have stayed at home watching Fox, seeing as all you do is parrot them anyways.

Simple black and white thinking is a sign of low IQ. "Tort reform will fix it all", ah if only everything was THAT simple...

  • Right, so go out and make it right tonight. No bullshit, no mess, no offers of friendship to the right. Go out and TELL people what this damn thing is. Stop bothering with to the lunatic 20% that will never vote for you. Stop bothering with the GOP. Stop wanting to be friends with people that only want what is best for them and start doing what people elected you to do; doing what is best for the people.

  • Am I the only one who agrees with the President that the legislature should do the legislating?

  • I like to think that what he is doing is kicking ass in a much more profound way.

Right now-the conservatives are out in full force attack-mode, and it pisses us off and makes us want to shut them up. There seems to be no end to their insanity.

But really-how much longer can THEY do what they are doing? How much longer can you imply that a guy like Obama, who's obviously reasonable to a fault-is some kind of fascist dictator?

I think crazy over-reaction is what he wants from them.

  • this over reaction is only hurting the conservatives...they are just appearing hateful and annoying....at the right time the president wil do whats best.

if you remember the campaign...even during obama's worst seemingly moments you could always depend on the Gop to do something worst to draw ridiculous attention to themselves........i do not have to name examples

  • pretty convincing to me. ass kicking mode tonight then.

  • Unless he says he will veto any bill without a robust public option in the speech, health reform is in trouble. Saying it is "essential" or just one "part" of the whole reform is just stalling. He NEEDS to say this in order to fufill his campaign promises, and give the peopel what they need, and not what the insurance companies want. No one said it'd be easy.
