ive never got into any heal-toe stuff. i tend to swivel, because its natural when you go single stroke, and just let your feet glide on the pedal. i tend to go much faster,.

@AFatGypsyFanny Nope. I actually use flat heel (which is not heel down, and not heel up, it's the middle of the two). Also i use very tight peddles so they rebound faster (takes more calf muscle, but it's worth it). I do doubles back and forth on each foot, the same as how you would do a drum roll on a snare.

Hi there, great drumming dude. Quick question. I use pearl demon drive double bass pedals on short board setup,I find it almost impossible to do the heel toe version. Is it because I need to convert to long board or am I missing something lol?

@poolking36 Well I dunno about his feeling, but I think in general this technique is a bit harder with shortboards if you aren't in socks or barefeet. Longboards do make it easier with shoes. Definitely keep woodshedding, either this or some other technique will become more comfortable and you'll be shredding in no time!

@Baytron317 If you play a double bass pedal you can often get a muffled sound out of your kick considering there are 2 beaters hitting it, if you use 2 bass drums it removes this inconviniences but replaces it with space issues
