What is the difference between BP and PP. Shouldn't Daigo have the same number since he only uses Ryu?

one thign i do know is that with different character you have different BP. i saw thqat Momochi's akuma had like 161K and was a grandmaster so was ryu but ryu had less points and his viper was ranked as master with even fewer points than his ryu, i think the BP differs with the characters you use but the PP stays the same.
