@CatsRuleDogsAreTards Cant be compared, these series are very different. Both are enjoyable tho. But ST got more budget on the tech department. BSG is brilliant, only because of the acting. In fact, BSG offers nothing but acting and awesome soundtrack... remember the black fighter? fugliest space fighter ever
Star Trek TNG retains that feeling of "70´s" glamorous designs applied to modern tech displays, and i love it
hey everywone you can download this screen on his site... there like 500 of these screens there... most of them are flash with working button(s) (you may need a translator to read the text... (i do :P)
yes that would be a great screen saver and also a SAFE WAY FOR SOMEONE not to hack your computer if its out there send info to me thanks and have a great day beam me back up. lol good 1 :)
Ok, seriously? I've seen other LCARS out there, that actually do things useful on the PC. As for the touch screen (EVO?) Not cheap in the states. About 5 grand to be exact, and not that size.
@vect0r85 i belive that scene is from star trek first contact were picard warf and hawk are trying to get rid of the borg that are on the diflecter dish
@theclarkhome nothing, it didnt' cost him anything because it's not a touch screen and the video is a flash movie from lcars comm net - he's plagerising and faking the touchscreen sequence. and you fell for it.
@aeonjoey Nope. This is not the same thing as the one from lcarscom. There is an interactive version of it. I've seen 3 videos so far of this interactive version, and it's not a flash movie because each of the videos had different buttons pressed to insert the correct code and the buttons lit up according to which ones they touched, and all done on touch screen monitors.
That is pretty nifty. But do you really have that as your default screensaver? Looks pretty time-consuming, and must lose some of the fun after the 60th time.
"I would never disengage my mag-lock interlock system" thats called being facetious, i won't hold it against you though because you probably have to deal with the borg allllll the time. would you disengage your mag-lock interlock just for a youtube video? I gotta go now... these tribbles just get into everything.
@backfire357 Ewww You never clean your dish? Do you know how bad they can get mis-aligned? You are luck you haven't blown it out yet. You should really follow the maintenance schedule.
i wonder if you could actually make sets of montiors relating to environmental controls or different areas of a ship, and then set some of them to automatically go off using a macro or something like that which in turn sends an alarm signal, its upto you, anything is possible
I'm afraid that Flash doesn't incorporate that in any Actionscript I've seen (not even Flash 11). You could try sending her a Flash based greeting card?
Star Trek First contact referenced 2001 in the deflector dish scene, which is what lcars program is representing... that's also what the loud thunk sounds at the end come from...
it'a actually kinda hard to miss...just look for the part where picard, worf, and ensign hawk are crawling around outside the sip in environment suits
Get Flash CS4, it's not as hard as you think to use. If you stuggle with that, try an older (simpler) version like MX (Flash 6) or better still, MX 2004.

Computer geeks stick together. Always share & always follow the white rabbit. (Hey Mowser I need extraction), Morpheus stop the sentinels because there coming, dang Neo, there everywhere(haha).Yeh I Know, but just having a little fun.(smile people).
People I found the link to the software so you all can download it, but I do not know if youtube will let me post it here, but I will try. Here it is, just add the rest to it that is missing get it because youtube will not let anyone post sites.Feel me. Enjoy people!
Nice but nothing more than that :) This is the exact LCARS recreation of the scene from "First Contact" where Picard tries to release the MagLocks which hold the main deflector dish of the Enterprise... Since the Borg took the control over the main computer Picard and his team had to do a manual MagLock release cycle completion to release the dish...
to everyone who said this isnt a touch screen, it is, Vista operating system comes with an available 22 inch touch screen, you can tell its vista becuase of the signature desktop, and how the mouse doesnt move inbetween icons, its a snap to effect.
umm, I don't mean to sound offensive and maybee I'm wrong but I think you just memorized the correct timings and made it look like it was touch screen because there are a couple sites where you can view that exact animation but then agian maybee I wrong but it is still pretty cool
I agree qith you, it's scene from Star Trek : First Contact, when Picard releases the deflector dish.
Notice the reference to 2001: A Space Odyssey,
The system used to release the Enterprise's deflector dish is labeled "AE35", this is the name of the part replaced by Poole and Bowman in 2001, and that part controls the antenna dish.
actually, if you look at it, he loaded the program in windows using the touchscreen, and then again when hes pressing the LCARS button, if you look closely you can see the windows arrow cursor right underneath where his finger was.
