Who cares. I heard another unreleased song that ended up as the intro to the guitar solo on mean street. It happens. Who cares. Unreleased van Halen made over is better the no van Halen at all.

Tattoo is only loosely based on this song. There are several huge differences.

@wolfennyc The only real similarities are found in the guitar riff in the latter part of the verse section and the key change in the pre-chorus- which happens to be THE chorus of Down In Flames. But, I suppose that doesn't matter... I'm a musician and song writer. I've gone over the similarities and differences many times and trust me, there are more differences. Saying they're loosely based might be an understatement though. They're "first cousins' at best; not brothers or twins.
