  • This has as much to do with the original Carmina Burana than Orff's piece. Both Orff and Corvus Corax took the same Medieval Manuscript, which contains hundreds of folk songs in medieval German and Latin. Some songs had notation, and others only hinted at notation. Orff's music is 100% his own, while the lyrics are direct from the Carmina Burana codex. Corvus Corax, likewise took the text directly from the same codex, and most of the music is new, but it tried to follow medieval styles closer

  • EXELENT!!!!!!!

  • increhible exelente perfecto.

  • There were somewhere in the region of 100 (IIRC) peoms that made up the complete 'Carmina Burana' works. Carl Orff spectacularly interperated a small selection. Corvus Corax have interperated a different small selection, in their own unique style.

    Hope that helps!

  • Why does it have nothing to do with the carmina burana?

It's interpreted as what it originally was: a medieval folk song sampler, which Orff classically interpreted (oprera-like)...
