  • I have been watching your videos for a very long time and I love your rants :-). Ah, and I wanted to say I just love this look on you, plus you are motivating me to start a healthy year with your videos on healthy food. Keep it up, you are great!

  • lol Poop mixed with olive green? :) lol

  • You look very different in that picture LOL

But you look awesome with that hairstyle and the headband.

I am an international student, so it's like moving to another country and I am allowed only 20-25kgs depending on the airlines. It's so frustrating.

  • LMAO ! I was my sipping my tea and burst it to my shirt when you made a comment about your photo that you look like a convict.. hahahahahahah.. You made me laugh so hard. thanks Julia. Not only you are smart, you have a great sense of humor.<3

  • That was so funny! Really long feet...I thought maybe you could walk in the little isles on the plane with your long feet. You made me laugh. Thanks, Janet

  • I went to Vancouver last year it was on January... You forgot to mention it's really foggy there, lol ! But when it's sunny, it's amazing !

  • How tall r u ?

  • Believe it or not, but i think you look a bit like taylor swift!

  • Hey ! good video, thank you !

you make it looks so easy :)

here's my beauty blog, check it out

    thank you

    tiffanykeys.blogspot

  • you can't smile, but teeth could help identification

  • I absolutely LOVE your hair like this!

  • So how was your flight with KLM?

I am from the Netherlands and live in the USA, I always fly with KLM, they're good.

But yeah I hate those long ass flights too! I am 1.77cm (pretty long too I'd say)

I get bored all the time and can't sleep :(

  • @rosesfromcharley I live in France but I already went in the Netherlands and The USA, I must admit KLM is indeed a really good company. Air France is cool too.

  • LOL Matrjeshka doll is indeed a Russian doll =)

  • omg i love your hair in this lol

  • The next one is by Massini. It doesn't really have a name. On the side of the bottle, it says "Fall Promo Shade". Its so beautiful. It's a very metallicy rusty gold that shifts to coral/pink in the light. It has a fine glitter in it, but goes on smooth. I found it at my local Meijer and fell in love! Massini makes some very unique colors and this one is no exception. I've never seen a color like this. Whenever I wear it, people ask me what it is. Very eye catching. I know you would love it :)

  • Hi Julia! :) I thought would suggest a couple really awesome polishes to you, if you can get your hands on them. The first one is by a brand called Theons. Their colors go by number, so its Theons #5. Its a GORGEOUS red I wear every year for Xmas. The cool thing about it is it changes color when you put a clear coat on top. It instantly turns brighter, & it literally looks like red foil on your nails. You can find it at most beauty supplies. Oops, no more room! I'll send another comment. :)

  • oh, I Love ESSENCE nailpolishes!!! I have to check out the brown one you got!

  • Hi Julia! as I commented in your newest video, I just got this topfrom H&M, so thanks for inspiring me! ;)

I was wondering, what do you wear underneath, a camisole? I can't see in the video

    Merci :)

  • hallo,i m very thank full to u for amazzing tutoriol and i want to know asian bridal make up in mehroon golden dress and ,pink silver.and green its 3 kinds of make up i hope u will help us thank s

  • Beautiful hair!! =]

  • How tall are u?! :P

  • i went to vancouver over the summer it was soo pretty i loved it..it really made me want to move up there

  • Can't wait to see what you do Canada!!!!

  • I'm going to Vancouver next week too. :3

  • hahaha yes a matryoshka doll is a russian doll - the kind that have a bunch of little ones inside

  • Hair looks great!

  • I love your earrings !!

  • lol poo... but yes,it is a nice colour. I would have just said chocolate brown. Sounds more appetizing

  • My God, who thinks that any matryoshka doll have anything similar to that colour. Matryoshkas are colourfull)))

  • Love your EARRINGS & HAIR Julia!!

Wish I could come meet you up North.

As for packing, each thing you want to bring - look at it one more time to make sure it is a must bring.

Where will you be going in The States?

Mass murderer - Convict... LOL! No way.

    Poo mixed with Olive-Grey... HaHa!

    Have a safe & wonderful time/trip!

  • Could u do a haul when u get home? :D

  • Have a safe trip!

  • Wow! have a safe flight!

  • YES, Matryoshka are the Russian nesting dolls. It's funny, my ears perked up when you said it because I worked at a Russian kiosk at a mall for over a year and I was ALWAYS being asked how to pronounce it haha

Hope you enjoy your vacation! :)

  • Have a wonderful trip! Vancouver is so nice, I took a little trip up there a few years ago and really thought it was a great city. Have fun!

  • well, you could always wear the most possible clothes on at once, instead of putting them inside your bag/case... just like that guy in "Friends" did, lol :P Safe travels! <3

  • people from the EU countries don't need a visa to enter the US and I'm pretty sure swiss citizens are in this category

  • Your passport picture is great. I think I have the worst passport photo ever. I look completely stoned in mine.

Hope you have an awesome time.

  • maybe you could buy shampoo and that sort of thing when you get to vancouver, rather than bringing in your bag...?

  • <3 <3 the earrings!

  • LOL. Poo mixed with olive green and gray. Its a lovely color though. Have a safe trip and Happy Holidays to u and ur family.

  • WELL HOW TALL R U?

  • I think you're allowed 10 kg in your carry-on!

  • I LOVE YOUR EARINGS!

  • For the flights to Canada and USA, you're usually allowed to take 2 luggages of 23 kg each (i'm living in Switzerland and my husband is canadian, so...) All the best for you holidays. You must be so exited...

  • I think you are right...if in the ticket is wrtiten 2PC then you are allowed to take 2 luggages of 23kg each, otherwise you can only take 20kg. I just checked the klm website because I was curious about this info and they say the same thing...

  • no, i'm sure, i checked. they changed their rules.

  • oh well, this sucks...I live in France and I cross the Atlantic often, so I hope this won't apply to the flights I take!!!!

Have a nice trip and enjoy the holidays with your family!

  • Vancouver is one of my favorite cities. It's beautiful and the people are fabulous.

The luggage restrictions suck, especially when you factor in an international flight and an extended stay! I can imagine how hard it is to restrict your belongings to 50 lbs! Worse case scenario, can you ship some of the gifts/souveniers home?

  • 50 lbs for luggage is more than you think. Take a large carry-on.

  • I'm really loving the hair Julia!!! Have a safe trip, and say hi to ur mum! :D

  • i love your hair!!!!

  • matrioshka is the russian doll right :)))

  • I use my "travel MAC palette"...basically, it's the 15 pan MAC palette but I take out the inner tray so that I can stuff a whole lot more eyeshadows in there and occasionally, fit a blush or two too! You could try that....the Coastal scents 88 palette is a good option too, i think.

  • <3 Love your videos! <3

  • Matriyoshka is a Russian Doll!! ^^

  • flying with KLM is nice i fly with them alot.

But you wreally got to show what your al taking with you make-up wish to vancouver.

  • KLM is the best. I fly with them everytime I go to holland!

  • guten flug und viel spass...LG

  • looking forward to watching your videos in vancouver :)

  • Flight from Singapore-Indonesia we only allow to have 20kg(including our luggage weight) so you still lucky to have 3kg more :D, heck i always have overload bag anyway(mean another 20kkg) so i can make my family happy w/ my gift, it's not that everyday we see them, have a save journey, thanks

  • I lived in Vancouver till last year and used to also come back and forth between Japan and there for the last 10 years. I think you can carry 2 pieces of luggage. Just each one must be up to 23kg. (used to be 32 till recently though...)

And I kinda try to put as much stuff as possible into my carry-on bag as well because they don't really check the weight as long as they are in 1 bag.

Hope that'll be a bit of tips for you. Happy Merry Xmas and the new year for you and your family. x

  • you can request to be seated near the emergency doors so you could spread your legs when you get your boarding ticket.

  • Pack das schwere Zeug ins Handgepäck - 7 kilos sind schon eine Menge Schuhe und Bücher. Ich kenn das Dilemma. :-) Guten Flug!!

  • I've got a manhattan polish in a cool pink with blue shimmer and is great!! I bought it when i lived in Germany, but I can't buy it in Spain.... :(

  • Are you sure it's only 1 piece of checked lugagge? As far as I know (i'm not sure) for international flights, you are allowed to bring 2 pieces of lugg, each with 23kg. Check your flight ticket and look for number of itens or so. I'm allowed 2 pieces of 23kg (flying from Germany) and 1 lugagge will be only gifts for my family! Happy that you will see yours :) have a great trip, and waiting for more canadian videos x x x

  • Hi, I'm also going "home" for this xmas, and I had a 12h flight ahead, ugh. To save weight from your checked lugagge, you canbring ur makeup in your hand lugagge, but mainly powders. so, eyeshadows are ok, you just have to watchout lipglosses and mascaras, and foundation, but you can bring up to 1L in (up to) 100ml containers, so a couple of lipglosses and 2 liq. found. should be ok! For shampoos or toilet. stuff, I buy there. or bring travel sizes.Usually they don't check the weight 4 hand lugg

  • That is so funny that ur not allowed 2 smile 4 the passport pic, lol. I wonder why that is? I get so nervous with stuff like that my reaction is 2 smile, lol.

  • tip for you when flying. pack your electronics, batteries, film and memory cards in your carry-on bag. the x-ray machine that they use for checked bags can erase your film and memory cards. all jells, liquids are limited. they only allow a quart size. you will go through security check points a lot faster when you remove your jewlery or anything metal that doesn't set the alarms. they will ask to remove your shoes and place them in the tray to be scanned as well. fly safe! have fun!

  • opps. I left out the quart size zip lock bag and travel size toiletries, liquids, creams, jells. I should have made myself a little more clear on comment previous. I know what you mean about choosing what to pack. lol

  • Have fun lucky!!!!

  • I have the same problem with luggage ! It's not enough 23 kg !!

  • yes it's one of those russian dolls ^_^

  • I hope you have a great trip!! I know what you mean about the passport thing.. My son and I have to get the Canadian passport which is a total pain in the butt!! MY Ma lives in Delta, Vancouver and she said they had a bit of snow so you may just need those mukluk's / moccasins sooner than you think.. I had a beautiful pair of Mukluk's which have long since died... I definitely want another pair.. maybe for Xmas.. lol!!

  • My friends went back to Europe. Their luggage was over limit. They ended up paying $50 and extra kg's. Go to KLM website, you should find their rates for that. Take care, hopefully it helps!

  • Couldn't you mail a box ahead of you?

That's what I do when I travel to visit relatives. I mail a giant box of stuff ahead of me, and usually end up mailing several back :P

  • that's EXACTLY what i was thinking!!

  • i'm originally from Europe 2 & i travel back & forth quite a bit.. can i give u a little advice? :-$ I'd suggest taking basics & stuff that u need to bring for ur family... Stuff like toothbrush/paste, shampoo, etc. u can buy here. :) It's actually kindda wierd that they allow u 1 piece of luggage.. Usually it's 2 @ 23kg and 1 carry-on @ 8 kg or something like that.. =/ but anyway, yeah stick to basics and buy new stuff here ;) lol! :) That's my excuse for shopping when i go back home.. hehe

  • ahaha muck lucks xD

As for makeup, just bring the basics! It's all you're really gonna need. I brought almost all my makeup with me to Mexico and I only used the basics. Eyeliner, mascara, and 2 colors of eyeshadow :D

  • I just came back from vacation and I took my warm palette. Don't take it! Mine cracked even though I packed it very well. I also think I used 2 colors the entire time. I would just take a quad of some sort.

  • I'm in Vancouver!

    Hehe that's so cool!

Maybe Ill see you around :P

  • I hope you know 23 kilograms is a little over 50 lbs.

I don't think I could pack a suitcase that full unless I stuff a midget in there.

  • yeah but she's bringing things home for her family. a car battery weighs 50lbs and is pretty small, so depending on WHAT she's bringing the bag might not even be full to pass the weight, (not that she'd be bringing a car battery lol)

  • Hope your flight is alright Julia, I'm so bad at sitting in one spot for hours on end so I hate it too. looking forward to Vancouver video updates! :))

  • heyy r u coming to NYC

  • you are tooo funny!!!!!!your pic looks good!!!

i would love too see videos of your vacations!!

love your hair!!!!hope you have a good time!

  • gotta love the color of poo

  • Your outfit in this vid is cute love the disco ball earrings and I really like your hair like that ...very pretty! Hope you have a fun and safe trip!!

  • LOL everyone looks like a mass murderer in their passport pics, dont worry! And yours is actually pretty, you could never look bad.

  • yeap the russian doll, i have 2 of them thery are the ones that have ther childs in height in her XD and you have to open their body to take the other one

  • OMG!

    your hair looooks amazing (:

  • You could ship the stuff you'll buy over to Switzerland. Maybe your dirty laundry :-)?

Also because you're very tall make sure you get to the airport very early (3hours before) and ask for the emergencyseat. Thats what we do when we fly to Germany. My husband is 1.98m and we always have to fly economy as well.

    Anyway

Well good luck and enjoy Vancouver, it's gorgeous there!!!!

Be safe!! Greetings from California :-)

  • Aw but the rain is gorgeous here :).

We look forward to having you here! I'm totally with you on Christmas. I'm atheist myself, but it's totally about the heart and soul of the season. Such a funtastic time. I'm excited to see what you do around here :D.

  • yep that doll is the russian doll.

  • Do you live in canada right now??

  • switzerland

  • bring some warm items.

    it's been cold here. : )

  • I live just south of Vancouver (about 6 hours or so maybe?) just south of Seattle, WA. Enjoy your time in the area!

  • heyy!! try ship some of your stuff in the mail! that way you dont have you pack everything. and ask your mom to buy shampoo and stuff there for you so you dont have to pack it.

  • Yaaayyyy Thats so cool I live in Canada! but like rly far away from vancouver :O

  • I was in Vancouver 5 years ago for 6 months. I am really looking forward to watching your video in Vancouver!! if you go to North Vancouver, plz show us how they look now. coz I was living there for 3 months.

  • luv ur earrings!

  • Five stars for going home for Christmas!!

Be safe and have a great Christmas!

  • I travel a lot & hate to check my luggage. I take a 21 inch bag & a laptop case that also holds my purse & can be carried on with me. I try to coordinate my clothing in a neutral palette to maximize the number of combinations. If I get caught needing more clothing, I visit a thrift store to purchase what I need. You'd be surprised what gems I've found there! When you leave for home, donate the clothing back or leave it for someone else in the family. Works for me! Have a great vacation!

  • did you say you don't need a passport to get from Canada into the U.S.? maybe I heard wrong or was out of context, but, you do need a passport to cross the border now. have a safe flight!!

  • You need a passport but you dont need an entry visa

  • your passport picture is nice!! Honestly! It's better than mine!!!! See you when you get to Vancouver!!

  • No one looks good on their passport picture. I had to clip my fringe back for mine and i look a right div!

  • Matrioshkas are those Russian dolls that contain another smaller doll and the proccess goes on again and again until you get a really really tiny doll :)

  • freue mich schon auf deine videos aus canada.. irgendwann will ich auch mal dahin. gute reise ^^

  • I'm going on vacation too, but like at the end of the year. I can bring 25 kg. And I hate my passport picture too ! I actually bought a travel brush kit, nyx palette and other little stuff that are easy and don't take a lot of space. =)

  • i love love love that nail color!

  • yep matrioshka doll is a russian nesting doll :)

  • I definitely agree with the makeup palette idea. I do the same thing when I travel, I pack one, two palettes tops. One is a neutral, and the other has various colors. I also limit my lip products to a couple lipsticks, a lip gloss, and a stain.

  • I am so jealous....I absolutely love Vancouver, such an amazing city!!

    xx

  • hehe i LOVE the poo polish. have fun on your trip : ) oh and have you thought of shipping your goodies back home maybe?

  • Oh don't worry! I look like a juvenile delinquent in my passport picture!

  • I LOVE WHEN SHE SAYS "POO!"

  • Dear Julia, I hope you have a WONDERFUL time in Canada.... Greetings from Chile.

PS: your hair looks just awesome!!

  • Im sorry to hear about your passport, I've had a similar experience with my current passport. I looked like a terrorist with really big hair....It was when I was 15 and didn't know how to tame the curls. lol

  • Hope you have an awesome time in Vancouver : ) looking forward to watching your vlogs & hauls ; )

  • You look adorable!

  • Wow, you're so dedicated to be uploading videos on your vacation! And, not only that, but where you also prepared a bunch of videos before hand too, lol. =)

Have a fun and trip! I wish I could make your meet & greet....but at least we'll be in the same time zone, lol.

As a side note, if you don't bring that much makeup with you, it gives you an excuse to buy more! (As if we need an excuse, heheh)

  • are you sure is just one 23kg lugage? in my experience it has always been 2 lugages of 23kg each....i have traveled with several companies, including klm too it was always 2x23kg...

  • they changed their rules, yes i'm sure :)

  • you look really, really beautiful in this video! your hair is gorgeous

  • wow ! that's only 50.6 pounds ! I could never do it !! LOL :)

  • ooooooo, your hair looks so pretty!

  • Julia can you do some vids showing us what Vancouver looks like all done up for Christmas....never been there would love to see it....safe trip!!!

  • Julie, Matryoshka are Russian nesting dolls. It's strange that the color is brown when matryoshka tend to avoid brown unless it's hair. They're usually painted bright vivid colors.

  • U rock have a safe trip and lots of fun with your family!!!!

  • Buy shampoo and stuff once your there!! or steal some from your family!

  • Have fun in Vancouver!!

  • I hope you have a great trip! I will be going to Van. in March, definitely make sure to share the good shops etc. that you went to! :)

  • LOL hunny all passport pictures blow...its just part of it...LOL..my passport looks like I weight 600 pounds and pale as hell it sucked and I was on a military base in germany...so.. yeah imagine all those sexy ass soldiers and them looking at my ugly ass passport picture...

  • Yes, matriochka doll is that Russian doll with the little ones inside (nesting dolls) by the way

  • You look soooo gorgeous! I LOVE your shirt, headhband, earrings, hair, make-up, everything!

    bon voyage :)

  • Pack warm and pack waterproof! Vancouver is cold, muggy and wet in the winter.

  • you'd be an amazing model : )

  • Du siehst so hübsch aus :D

  • I hope to see videos of your visit on this channel. I thought the videos during your Mom's visit were great! :) Have a safe & happy journey!

  • The look your wearing looks so holidayish :d

    But like wearable lol

    I love it =]

And yea ... what are muklocs?

  • my best hint: whatever you buy in canada, just ship it back to yourself so you don't overfill your bags :D

  • i hear you! haven't been back home to canada in many years -- i have lists and lists of places to go and specific food to eat!

  • It's funny how sometimes gurus say "I'm so borring" but then again you have so many people watching your videos, I think you are amaizing. Have fun ;)
