Ist scon interessant, was unsere Waldecker Flagge hier so bewirkt.

Ich bin stolz Waldecker zu sein.

Waldecker kann man auch nicht werden, man muss ails Waldecker geboren sein!!!

Alternativ kann man allerdings auch "Beute-Waldecker" werden (durch einheiraten)! Man ist dann aber trotzdem kein "echter" Waldecker.

Das sind widerum nur die Kinder die direkt im "Fürstentum Waldeck" geboren werden (auch heute noch)!!

Come on, whats the real difference here, a country has a state and a flag and a song, people and landmass and so on, to be honest I think once a group of people have the above they are more or less a country. Any other term is fairly useless really.

No, I'm not a German. I'm American of Waldeck ancestry. I am a 'Sachs und Franke'. As far as 'Germany' is concerned, it was largely fiction until the Second Reich. There was a variety of principalitiesof which Waldeck and Lippe were the last 2; a treaty allowed Prussia to manage foreign affairs. I know the flag looks like the German flag, but has different origins. The German flag descends from the colors of the 1st Burschenschaft . Waldeckers used these colors since the early 18th C.

Pyrmont (now Bad Pyrmont) is in Lower Saxony

and Waldeck is in Hesse

The black-red-gold flag was used by the state of Waldeck and the two states of Reuss in the 18th, 19th and 20th century. Between 1949 and 1952, the state of Wurttemberg-Baden used the black-red-gold flag as well.

Waldeck and Reuss were not fully independent. Until 1806, they belonged to the German Empire. Between 1815 and 1866, they belonged to the German Confederation, and since 1871 they had belonged to the second Empire.

That's because you are a Ruhrpottprolet! I'm a Waldecker, and that is the Waldeck flag, with the arms of the House of Waldeck, the second to last independent state to be incorporated into the German Reich, in the middle. And we used the Black Red and Gold before the Germans did!

Was für ein Schwachsinn, mit Verlaub. Bayern mögen die Preußen nicht, aber dass Bayern ein deutsches Land ist, wird selbst vom bayerischsten aller Bayern nicht abgestritten. Dieser scheiß deutsche Separatismus kotzt mich schon an, wenn ich Leute sagen hören muss: 'Ich bin kein Deutscher, ich bin Waldecker/Sachse/blablalba.'. Eure Vorfahren würden sich im Grabe umdrehen, denn die wussten alle, dass sie Deutsche, Deutsche und nochmals Deutsche waren.

Lustig Sam, aber einige Vokabeln hab ich nicht verstanden. Was, z.B., ist Verlaub? Und die Konstruktion 'Eure Vorfahren?' Hab ich irgendwie eine Mehrzahl angedeutet? Meine Vorfahren die fuer Waldeck kaempften taten solches als es noch kein Deutschland gab. Es ist Schwachsinn das 1. Reich als deutsch zu betrachten; das 2. gabs erst ab 1871. Weiterhin ist es interessant zu sehen dass bis zum heutigen Tage, der Freistaat Bayern (offizielle Bezeichnung!) eigenen Zoll und eigene Grenzler hat.

Nein, das ist nicht schwachsinnig, denn die Menschen im ersten Reich bezeichneten sich selbst als Deutsche und ihr Land als Deutschland. Und die wussten wohl, was sie sind. Und wenn schon im 13. Jh. ein Dichter singt, Deutschland sei das schönste Land der Welt, dann wird es wohl im 13. Jh. schon eine deutsche Nation gegeben haben, die man besingen kann.

Also hören Sie mit dem Unsinn "es gab noch kein Deutschland" auf. Deutschland gab es so sehr, wie es Dtl. heute gibt.

Und dann gibts auch die deutsch/deutsche Problematik. Ich bekenne mich zu einem deutschen Staat, aber ich bin Waldecker. Staatswesen wechseln, oder bist Du einfach zu verbissen um das zu begreifen? Zumindest bekenne ich mich zu etwas, bei Dir merkt man mit Deinen hinkenden Deutschkenntnissen ueberhaupt nicht was Dir wichtig ist ausser unaufgefordert anzugreifen.

Ich bin der hochdeutschen Sprache sehr wohl mächtig, und da ich -- im Gegensatz zu Ihnen -- auch des Öfteren historische Originalquellen lese, weiß ich auch, dass es selbstverständlich lange vor 1871 ein Deutschland gab. Schon im Jahr 1090 im Annolied wird mit stolz beschrieben, dass die römische Kaiserkrone ausschließlich auf deutschen Häuptern sitzen dürfe. Als Waldeck gegründet wurde, war Deutschland genauso deutsch, wie es heute ist. So jedenfalls sahen es die Menschen damals.
