ok... Im going to be starting the p90x work out and I need a good Pull-Up Bar. Problem is Im a bit heavy (290) and I need a sturdy one. Will the P90x Bar or somthing like it still work for me?
I was on the fence about getting p90x, I really like the workout, but I don't think my door frame is strong enough. If I can substitute the bands with pull-ups I"m going to go for it. Thanks for your help.
Hey quick question were do I buy the pull up bar ?? I want to start the program do I order it when I order the p90x?? And how safe is it how much weight does it support??
I purchased the P90X pull up bar, but be honest, were you as disappointed as I was to find out that it was made in china? The only thing that comes out of China is quality crap....wow as I was writing this I notice that the paint job on one of the bars was chipped and scuffed up! No lie.
well this thing can hold some weight ill give it that.. but its your door frame you worry about.. i went to use it today.. and the top part of my door frame broke..xD so now my questions is.. what other way can i place this thing to NOT break my door frame in half?..lol
@HOLIDAY112 the bar holds up to 300lbs.. i weigh 250ish top part of the door frame held me for like 6months i believe until it gave out..xD so im thinkin your safe if you weigh like 220ish? idk i weighed like 297 starting out though so my door frame been through some pressure..xD
hey man how much do u weigh cause im wondering on getting one but i weigh 240 and almost everybody with pull up bar in the videos ive seen they weigh like 120 to 190.

Important Question:
Can I use the P90x for Dips? Maybe even for inverted rows as well?
