He actually speaks much better now. He says his name "Lupito" and that might actually be what he was trying to say here. He says his name pretty clearly but also in a very slow sad voice, and he almost always only says it when we are ignoring him. When we are ignoring him he will repeat his name continually until we pick him up.

It sounds almost like "Pretty Bird". Conures can't talk as well as say...parrots. The just can't form words properly (my conures both talk a little, but for the longest time I didn't realize my big boy was. I talked to the vet and she laughed and said "Can't you hear him saying hello to me? Conures don't talk like parrots do."
