The thing about Stephen King's story's, is that you never really know whats going to happen next, here is a very good example.

I loved the novella! I loved this movie! But i have to admit there has been some shockers over the years, take for instance Desperation. Anyway, it was a brilliant movie/novella with a brilliant ending and still leaves chills up my spine.

Pt.3 of ending *SPOILER ALERT* so he is now outside the jeep and yelling and about a minute after he killed them and hes outside you see the mist start to clear and a bunch of army tanks and army men start to burn down the forests and they are taking survivors in convoys and thats how it ends :D

Pt.2 of ending *SPOILER ALERT* so now they wanna commit suicide cause they are in the jeep and they drove for hours so they decicde theres no use in walking cause they'll die so the main guy kills his son the grandma and the grandpa and also i forgot to mention theres another middle aged woman in the car and he kills her so he starts freaking out cause he killed them so he opens the door and steps out side and starts yelling

Pt.1 of ending : well it ends as some people in the super market decide to make it to the main charactors jeep then they get there and some people die trying to get there so there in the jeep with a magnum cause the guy with the magnum died trying to get there so they have it now and they drive untill theres no fuel left and they're still in the mist and they only have 4 bullets left in the magnum but theres five people : The main charactor, the main charactors son, An old lady and an old man.

i would watch it just for fun but none of steven kings stories ever scare me. i've read "the girl who loved tom gorden","rose madder","needful things,and i gave up on "dream catcher"and "thinner" and have seen lots of his films and the only films i thought were any good were his more dramatic stories like the green mile and daloras claibourne. none of his stories are even close to scary.
