Blaze is amazing and the ones who don't like Blaze aren't true Maiden fans! Blaze was part of Maiden and hating him doesn't make any sense! The compositions on those two albums were really awesome! I'M THE CLANSMAAAAAAAAAAAAAAN!!!!!!!! UP THE IRONS!
i fucking love you Blaze ! fuck off the bayley haters, "Blaze is the best vocalist we ever had in maiden "-Steve Harris 1994, god spoke so the haters can fuck off .I. REAL MAIDEN FANS (love Paul,Bruce &Bayley)>fake fans(haters of any member of the best fucking band in the world) UP THE IRONS!!!!
in my opinion, blaze is better for this kind of songs, bruce is better for other ones.. overall i think bruce is better, but blaze has a great voice, different-styled though
thank you iron maiden for having bass solos in your cover that live up to John Entwistles. I want to slap green day and Oasis' bassist for having shitty solos
uhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, no thats all i gotta say about this cover, im sorry but lets kepp it with the who and nobody else, but dont get me wrong i absoulutely love maiden
I was pleasantly surprised to hear that this cover is actually very good. First, I am a wholigan, so my standards are high. The bass is fantastic, as to be expected from Steve Harris. The drum fills disappointed the hell outta me. Keith Moon's shoes are big shoes to fill... but I expect better from Nicko McBrain, because he is a fantastic drummer. The vocals are amazing as well.
@rodvalcar23 Judas Priest initiated NWoBHM, but by the second album Sad Wings of Destiny. Rocka Rolla was more in early Heavy Metal style like Black Sabbath and Led Zeppelin - more bluesy.
But "Sad Wings of Destiny" was pure and real begining of New Wave of British Metal!
Nah theres no way, the bass stuff isnt actually that hard and steve has used much harder stuff in maidens songs. listen back in the village and flash of the blade some of the bass lines in them are scary.
Dont get me wrong entwhistle was really good and he probably played better stuff than this but the bass solo bit in this song just sounds fancy its not as hard as you think
blaze bayley is a good singer, if you listen his solo albums are very good, they have excellents songs like robot, samurai, madness and sorrow, etc., and bruce dickinson is god,
blaze isn't that bad of a singer. i just never thought his voice fit maidens music. like he sounds pretty good with the covers they all did together. i just don't like his singing with maiden
Blaze Bayley must be the most underated metal singer of all time, well he aint as good as Bruce Dickinson which he tried to walk in the foot steps of, but heck people talk shit about him like they were payed to do it, i love Blaze they should build a monument to him... though after they would build one for Bruce :P
Absolutely. Blaze was a great singer and still is - his solo work is fantastic. I think the only problem was, Maiden have always been very progressive (Well, since 82) and his voice would be much suited to some of the early NWOBHM acts - like Tank or Atomkraft (Or even early Maiden.)
Ah, my second favorite band covering my favorite band. Steve and John are two of my favorite bass players for sure.
Oh, and Blaze sounds pretty good here, but on some Maiden songs I think he sounds awful. On "Sign of the Cross" he sort of sounds like he has down syndrome.
personally, i fell in love with maiden listening to no prayer... it was the only miden record i had, the second was the x factor and i loved every song on it, and then virtual XI the same thing. and i don't think he's bad singer, i actually like his voice rather than paul's, and i'm sure paul wouldn't have replaced bruce better than blaze did... my point is: it's not the same thing before bruce than after bruce.... think about it
i love bruce paul is great blaze sucks the band itself (with blaze is great live) the band with bruce is AMAZING and paul was also great so they are my favorite band cos i listen to the old stuff, love em live and later stuff with bruce not the stuff with blaze

He was the frontman in two discs with Maiden, The X Factor (1995) and Virtual XI (1998) I think he joined Maiden back in 1994 when Bruce Dickinson left the band.
