  • best singer

  • Awesome!!!

  • that picture there is of the 36th ulster division .....

  • @saraisaho hey ho sara

  • This song is beautiful. Its so much better than some of the modern songs, I mean compare these lyrics: its five in the morning, conversation go boring say I'm going to bed soon so I snuck up to your bedroom.

Did you really think that this war would end wars? For Willie McBride it all happended again and again and again and again and again

  • This is an amazing song. I sang it for my schools rememberance day ceromny. These lyrics are so moving. "For Willie McBride it all happened again, and again and again" so true so true. Who ever wrote this is a genuis. Compared to all the modern songs, this is 100x better. I mean, listen to these lyrics: its 5 in the morning, conversation ho boring, say im hoing to bed soon. And compare that to these, for willie mcbride it all happened again and again and again and again and again

  • Very nice song. VEry good text.

And unfortunately, the line "oh willy mcbride it all happened again

    " is too true.

    Regards from Germany

    Holger

  • Love this song.

  • Omg... it bring tears in my eyes... : )

  • hey snowy1500, you're welcome for the right to be so ignorant and disrespectful to all American soldiers who died since 1775 to give you the right to shit on their graves. Your ignorance is not louder than their deeds.

  • @ChitownKlepto Bless Willie McBride and the likes of him.

  • who singing this song? I cant seem to find another version that does it justice.

  • have a listen to rebel gun,awesome

  • Fuck American soldiers they are so fucking rude and disrespectful

  • My grandfather was in WW I and it definitely affected him. My Dad was in WW II and I was in when Vietnam happened. I guess we'll keep it up until we blow up this planet and nobody is left to hate or fight...

  • Why dont you all just enjoy the song!?

  • Touching

  • a random terroist and a Es--kii--mo i think

  • 8 Dislikes?!!! Mmmm Hitler, Stalin, Saddam, Bin Laden, Mugabee, Gadaffi? Whos the other 2?

  • @horwichwhite1980 How about these? Teddy Roosevelt, Woodrow Wilson, Bomber Harris, Gen. Curtis LeMay, King Leopold, Harry Truman--I could go on and on. Oh, the Bush family and their retainers. Obama is heading towards dishonorable mention.

How do Saddam and Bin Laden and Col. Gaddafi even rate with Hitler and Stalin--no Mao or Pol Pot?

  • @seanmc1916 Billy Reid was one of them, listen to the tune made for him, its under "The ballad of Billy Reid.

  • so much hate in these comments to much hate in this world the past is the past

let us not forget it but let us not live in it there's are many things in this world that divide us and many who take advantage of that fact. but in the end we all breath the same air we all cherish our children's future and we are all mortal.

  • What is wrong with you people....can you not just accept this for what is is....a tribute to every man who went over the top? For every man who did it it in the mistaken belief that if he did no-one else would have too.

And yet you bitch about religion etc and point scoring....fuck you make me ashamed.

  • i cried furiously, And i Slav not Irish

  • @MichySVK

its not irish its about the 36th ulster division ...a british army regiment from the north of ireland (ULSTER)

  • @sarahooxo for 200 years one third of the british army was made up of "Irish Men".You're an idiot if you think the name McBride is completely British. The Mac implies son of,it's an irish word.Irish,do you understand the term Irish?

  • @Forthereckoning

but was he not in the 36th ulster division ? ...yes he was

  • @sarahooxo listen here you little biggot, you don't even know if this "willie mcbride" was in the 36th ulster division.where's your proof????its amazing that a little shite like you is 100% certain about something which is still widely unknown amongst scholars.there were scores of willie mcbrides that fought and died in world war 1 and it has NEVER been proved that the willie mcbride of the 36th division was the willie mcbride the song is written about.get your facts straight.

  • @Forthereckoning

your actually a ballbag hahaha and also i dont want your fucking facts ...haha throwing facts at me cause you think your a historian hahah bullroot ...if he was 36th ulster division he was more than likely a protestant from ulster ...loyal to britain

  • @sarahooxo you're an idiot to make such a generalisation.loads of catholic and nationalist irish in the north fought for the british army.it wasn't simply a case of protestant/presbyterian unionists that fought for them.in many case the aforementioned group in the north were too fucking wealthy to bother fighting for their loyal crown.piss off and learn your history before you make childish, secondary school standard remarks about northern irish history.

  • @Forthereckoning

fuck aff you ballbag ...i know that irish and nationalist fought ...but what im saying is that if he was in the 36TH ULSTER DIVISION you absolute wankbag he was more than likely loyal to the crown and was more than likely in the UVF THAT formed the 36th and the UVF was formed to fight against Home Rule ..and the Uvf were loyal to the crown so ballbag shove your shitty wee opinions up your hole

  • Willy Mcbride was with the Royal Inniskilling Fusiliers and died on the 22nd of April 1916. Hope that helps.

  • @dogear17

yes sort of thanks but as that other guy said there was many willy mcbrides....we will never know

  • Remember the 36 Ulster Division! But remember every man from every part of the Empire who fought for King and Country.

  • brits are knackers! everyone hates the brits! even scots hate themselves they hate being british! lol fkn knackers

  • @454dub and ur a twat who needs to stop thinking everyone agrees with you cuz i i know they don't

  • @454dub and are you british!? I am proud to be british, those soliders sacrificed their lives for us! And if it wasn't for them we would not be able to live in freedom! Americans love us! we partnered together in war and we both die for our countries! people can hate us, but us british are proud of who we are! and nothing can change that!

  • I love the corries version. RIP the veterans of WW1

  • @454dub

its actully about an austalian soldier so go F**k yourself

  • brit scum!!

  • @454dub If you wanna leave hate comments go too something like justin bieber or rebbeca black. Dont leave hate comments on videos like this you sad prick.

  • @454dub forgien twat

  • @454dub retard

  • @454dub Are you American! WE ARE FUCKING PROUD TO BE BRITISH! I am proud and will stand tall and shout I am proud to be british because we stand up for our country!

  • RIP to all the men and women who died for their country for whatever reason and whatever nationality they are beacuse they are a lot braver then most of you lot who threaten and insult people over the internet !!! becasue u think ur right well ur not always right it depends on ur view so just drop it calm down and pay ur respects

  • All those young guys--dead. WWI was instigated by the wealthy & the powerful who wanted to play soldier & try out their shiny new guns, amassed in the pre-war arms race. War also distracted the working classes of Europe from activities like organizing unions and fighting for women's suffrage. So the captains of industry and the politicians beat the drums of war, thinking it would be over in 6 weeks. Almost a century later, we are still living with the consequences.

  • Men are capable of cruelty to other men, wherever they may come from.

  • Right Lads, i am a proud Irish man and all this shite you's are talking about is all in the past, both sides killed the innocent and there is no point dweling on that fact! These Brave Protestant and Catholic fought together in unison. infact these men wouldnt fight with anyone but eachother. the prod's didnt want to fight with anyone but the catholics and vise-versa! they didnt see eathother as "Huns" or "Taigs" they seen eachother as people and Irish men. GROW UP!

    Dave Doherty (17).

  • Come on guys... the British didn't do anything in this war...

  • @zlink5 apart from being in 90% of every battle on the western front , and being in other battles all over the rest of the world from Africa to Galipoli???? The British did EVERY THING in this war.....and before you start yaping about Irish Soldiers doing more....At the time ALL irish were classed as British....so SHUT UP AND CRAWL BACK IN URE HOLE YOU SLIMEY WRETCH

  • @Britainsloyalist Trololololol

  • @zlink5 Patheticlololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololololol

  • That why every "BRITISH" company or public place had wrote on the entrence "No Blacks no IRISH or no dogs at the time of the war so u sayin we were all seen as "BRITISH, ur very much mistaken

  • @jojoshannon100 if british companys didnt allow blacks into the ranks then why were there a few black officers during the somme and whole western front? I wont denie racism or discrimation didnt occur howerver that was due to belifs of the time and scients had theories about races being more supior than others through scientific methods, and so people belived it....and the Irish thing was because they were seen as trouble makers by public houses.....

  • @zlink5 What a strange thing to say! Along with France the UK was the main combatant in western Europe. Britain lost eight times the men that the US did! The writer of this song is a Scot and within Britain the Scots lost more than anyone. In fact I remember reading that by head of population apart from Serbia the Scots had the largest military losses of any combatant. 150,000 Scots died in the war which if you equated that to the US today would be 9 million dead.

  • @gaconnochie Dude, I was trolling. Chill.

  • @zlink5 Yes we did!!!!!!!!!!!! Thousands and Thousands of British soilders died in this war, that is why Britain is like the way it is! so did Germany just give up for a laugh! exactly!

  • @JustinXpizzle i bet your proud to be an Irish man arnt you :)

  • @JustinXpizzle All gave some, some gave all

  • Spot on

  • @161Heno If you are talking Hitler then he tried to knowck Britain out of the war by air power. The Germans failed in the Battle of Britain. Only then did Hitler launch Operation Barbarossa against the Soviets!

  • why is this both a Republican and British song? pleae advise

  • @FWK1000 It is at least a partly British song because it was written by someone who was British. Bogle was a Scot who emigrated to Australia. I imagine he'd baulk at the idea of it being regarded as anything other than an anti-war song commemorating the ordinary soldiers who fell in WWI. The idea that some regard it as Republican is strange to say the least.

  • @FWK1000 Because Willy McBride was an Irish man who wanted freedom in both Ireland and the world so he fought with the Brits to gain Victory over Germany

  • Irish/Scotsman, served myself and proud of my S Scottish history. We did the only thing we were good at. FIGHT. I am the first generation to go to university. I am still my grandad's little man.

  • it was known as englands army but how many english faught alot thankyou but its the scotish welsh and irish soldiers that go down fighting for thier country but only rememberd as fighting for england

  • can i ask whats this song about?

is it about an irish man who died in ww1

  • lest we forget i would take my hat of to this true son of ulster hes wat real men are made of not them fuck ira scum shootin kids fuckin sick cunts :@

  • who sang this version

  • Lest we forget F.G.A.U

  • damm u r arrogant, u seem so far up yorself that I dare say every day must be a shade of brown for u. What did the native races of this planet ever do to u that u must look down on them as if they are no more than pure filth? I amazed to hear that someone like yorself still exists on this planet. Yor appreciation of other people is as outdated as the Prehistoric filth u judge. U r not a forwards type person so I have nothing more to say to you. Yor Empire is dead anyways. "Smiling".

  • @kirttank Ta ta.

  • U r like a fucking plague that moved across the Earth, just ask the Aboriginals, the Indians, many Africans, the Native Americans, the Chinese, some Arabians, Malaysians, and Mouris. U r a disorganised, selfish extension of the Roman Empire, who sturggles to work out whether u should have done it, or should still try to do it. At the end of the day, u r just still a German, speaking as I am, a manipulation of the German language. U R NOT CELT or Gallic. U belong back in Germany.

  • Oh and hey, dipshit, alot of 'colonialists' came from Ireland. Argue to u r blue in the face, but at the end of the day, u r just another German. Hence Angloland, oh hang on, that is right, somewhere u guys became lazy, I mean England. Not Scotland or Wales or Irish, no I mean Angloland because that is where u r from and that is why u r so fucking arrogant.

  • So u mean to say that u had not a single soul in the 'Anglolisch' Army defending 'Angloland' against the almighty power that was Hitler, who didn't even want to take 'Angloland' because you are German descendant (Hess's attempt to aquire a peace treaty with 'Angloland' and also mentioned in a book from Adolf Galland) whom was a colonialist, on top of which, no one from Poland fought in fighter command, in Spitfires or Hurricanes during the Battle of Britain? R u reallty that fucking arrogant?

  • @kirttank If you arent Aboriginal, why dont you go back to Ireland or England where your ancestors are from. Or Germany if you want to practice what you preach lol. Im not arguing =), simply making a few points. If you are Aboriginal, then you are more than welcome to contine worshipping stones, performing rain dances and to wallow in your backward, pre-historic filth. I never claimed to be Celtic either. Gaels where Celts for future reference. You have been educated! Congratulations =D!

  • Firstly, the Mongol Empire is the largest empire this planet has ever seen, not the British. English soldiers are just men also until they are shot dead. England never stood alone against the Nazis, if you remember, or study history, the yanks played a very vital role in the supply of arms and manpower to england (yeah fuck ya, you can be lower case now) hence the U-Boots. Most of the englisch, anglolisch language is a derivative of German, oder Deutsche. Hence Anglo Saxon, out of Germany.

  • @kirttank The Mongolian Empire was the largest continuous land based empire yes, but the British Empire was the largest colonial empire and when you add up the total land mass of its territories it is the largest in history. Secondly, the British did stand alone for a while, the French had surrendered and the Soviet Empire or USA hadnt been attacked yet. Also, I see you are from Australia, where did most of you fuckers come from eh?

  • god bless u wullie

  • These comments are all confusing me - I always thought the man who wrote this was Scottish!

  • It always amazes me how many people set themselves up as experts when they know very little or nothing about the topic.

For the record, Eric Bogel was born in Scotland but moved to Australia with his family when he was two years old. he also wrote "The Band Played Waltzing Matilda" and that song like "Willie McBride" was about the sadness and stupidity of war....No nationality attached or intended.

    .

  • @davec1938 Bogle was born and brought up in the Scottish Borders and didn't leave the area until he was about 25 years old. He wrote both No Man's Land (here incorrectly called Willie McBride) and also And The Band Played Walzin Matilda within a couple of years of living in Oz. As far as I know he emigrated alone. His song "Leaving Nancy" is about leaving his mother at the railway station in Scotland.

  • @davec1938

Eric Bogle emigrated to Australis alone not as a 2 year old with family. "The Leaving of Nancy" a beautiful song about leaving his mother at the train station heading for Australia in 1969. For goodness sake, if you are going to complain about other peoples innacuracies online .... get your facts right.

  • @davec1938 When he was two? Are You sure? I agree with the rest of your post though.

  • you can't all be serious? first of all the songs about an irish man who joined the british in the great war in no way is this a rebel song of any kind. In every British regiment theres a ' Willie Macbride '. The song is a cry out against war of all kind and i think this should be taken into account. Just listen to the lyrics and you'll see. A beautiful rendition of a sad song.

  • @ConneelyIRE "first of all the songs about an irish man" The song was written after Bogle visited a Briitsh war cemetary though not in the cemetary itself. The Scottish folk songer, Hamish Imlach, said he was with Bogle later in Germany on tour when Bogle wrote the song. The name McBride was probably used obviously because it names with 'graveside' but the song isn't specifically about one person. It is a tribute to all the war dead.

  • @scoski123 You know Hitler never wanted to go to war with Britain he was hoping they would stay neutral. He had always planned on attacking the Soviet Union after taking France. He thought it was his duty to lead a "Crusade" against Communism. He had been planning on attacking them the entire time he just needed to get rid of France.

  • Ireland forever!! greetings from hungary!

and all english ppl pls dont mock the irish, cuz u rly dont know how it is like to be oppressed...

  • @shakadis Opressed LOL. Go back to Hungary. You have no say in our country, you are not from the UK or even the Commonwealth. so you shall have no say. NO SURRENDER

  • Waffen SS loyal, heil.

  • @mickeymarmalade Because it is about the irish army, Not about the brittish scum ! Even the wolf tones have a cover. Thats why (y)

  • @sergeant69Er

Your the reason Irish people are wrongly called "thick" luckily there's only a few..

  • @hetrodoxly ur the reason people are called bell ends ! luckly theres only a few

  • RIP Willie Mcbride

    Deus Juvat

  • my deepest respect to these mans

  • Its horrible to disrespect any soldiers who died even the germans. All the soldiers were following orders. They had no chance to battle there orders. So please pay respect. This si stupid what if you were that soldier who gave his life so you could have a better one than him. These men were honorble soldiers who, some dont have a name. Poor men. Some were buried with body parts missing. Think. Just think with whats left of your brains before you disrespect.

  • hey johnjo cunt i dar ya 2 com 2 Tipperary nd say dat ya cunt

  • @MrMarshman90 Its a long way to Tipperary... haha

  • @LordWellington15 ha aboy d kid:)

  • hey johnjo cunt i dare ya 2 com 2 tipperary nd siad dat ya prick

  • @MrMarshman90

    Internet tough guy, eh

  • willie mcbride doesnt rhyme with gravestone ya fucking prick go fuck ur fenian mums ass

  • Mikeymarmalade,,, check your history before making a point. Willie McBride's grave does exist. He was a Irish soldier that went to fight in WW1. The English promised the Irish that if they fought for them in WW1 they would give them back Ireland. Untruths as it turned out.

  • This song reminds me of my Grandfather's response when I asked him if he had been in the War. He lost three brothers to the First World War. This was a pointless family feud that caused the death of millions. Read just about any contempory piece about the war by troops who fought and you will struggle to find one that does not offer the sentiment reflected in this song.

A pointless bloody war run by idiots, at the expense of millions of decent men across Europe.

  • The image of these brave, young Tommies going over the top for King and Country is breathtaking, Is there a link for it? Cheers.

  • If anything this song as a song of pacifism , It does not respect nor disrespect those who served in the British Army , its the epitome of why war is wrong :S

  • Best version of this song i've heard. Anyone know name of the band??

  • Total respect to all heros and all heros before

  • we will remember them !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • THE BIIGEST WAR OF ALL TIME IS ALWAYS BEEN FOUGHT, WHY WOULD A NEO NAZI SING A SONG OF THIS,OR A BLONDE HAIRED GIRL ASK THE SAME QUESTION? IN A BATTLE OF JUST AS MUCH PART OF A WAR OF PEOPLE SPENDING THIER LIVES TO SPEND THEIR TIME TO FEED THE OTHERS IN THEIR TIME WHERE EVR MADE OR SPENT. AT THE AND IT ALL WENT OUT IN AN ORGANISED OR UNORGANISED WAY AND CAME BACK IN MUCH THE SAME WAY,SOME DIDN'T BUT FED THE WAR AND BODIES MINDS, EVERYONE FED IN DIFFERNT WAYS AND ATE AND DIGESTED IN MUCH THE SAME

  • rip to every brit who died in the great wars. brits won the world wars`yanks came in very late

  • @1andystevens1 lol good 1

  • @1andystevens1 we fought together as we still do today we are the two best allies in the world long live the uk and USofA

  • how many widows and orfans are u will to make how many are u willing to kill for ur goal how much pain are u going to inflect and take for the sake of ur pride 100s have died and yet things remain the same

are u going to look into there eyes to tell them the news are u going to see the results of your actions are u will to take life for ur pride patiartizem is just pride and pride will make and get u killed always beware of those who think them selves Righteous just or infallible

  • why are you all argueing about bloody sunday yes it was tragic but it wasn't all of the uk which commited the murders was it. and also if the britsh are evil dooes that mean when the men who commited Warrenpoint ambush and the Assassination of montbatten aren't murders

  • Proud to be a Mc Bride!

  • when i was young i hated all british..britain...and everything to do with the place. as u grow older u learn that no matter the history, u cant blam the people for what went on. be it the famine..the penal laws.. war of independance...none was the fault of the british people....it was the upper class..."the system". the same happened in germany ..in bosnia.. and is never too far away. but those who fought in europe,on both sides, 99% were normal decent lads, who never deserved their fate. slan.

  • The men from the two Great War's are the real British heroes - forced to fight a cause that did not exist for reasons they did not understand. Millions, and millions of young men risking their life for their country.

These men are who we should remember with that 'poppy' - sadly, for me, the army in recent conflicts, through Ireland, Iraq, and Afghanistan have bastardised the reputation of Britland, and subsequently bittered the poppy with conspicuously vile crimes.

  • @ScottMcDonald27 Nonsense, one of the army's greatest successes was the termination of 13 terrorists in Londonderry. These men who killed armed combatants will also be remembered with pride.

  • @JohnnyBigBars The fact that you referred to Derry as Londonderry is particularly ironic on the subject of Britain and its unlawfulness.

The killing of young Aidan McAnespie was a great success to I suppose? What about the 14 innocent civilians - many of whom were kids - in 1972, who were shot down by the British army in Free Derry - incidentally the army hadn't yet declared war with Ireland, therefore committed unlawful and unjust murders. That, my friend is murder. Cold blooded murder.

  • we play this at high school on rememberance school

  • i like this song its a very nice song

we listen to it on rememberance day at high school

  • I thought that this song was all about recognising the futility of war. Its' sentiment to me is that peace should be our aim.

Why are we arguing now? Too many people have died, taken from all corners of the globe: Ireland, England, Scotland, Wales, Canada, Australia, New Zealand, Poland, Russia, Germany and a load of other countries. Sorry if I've missed some.

Maybe listening to Joe Cocker on 'Give peace a chance' might work!

  • This was played down the tanoy at my college today to remember the soliders that have died. RIP all of them. Proud to be british today. They died for our freedom and we shud be thankful!

  • THOMAS551535: Youi sick bigot. you are talking NONSENSE that NO Catholics fought in the wars and you know you are. My Great uncle was killed in Action at Flaunders in WW1 my mums cousin was killed in action WW2 as was my dads uncle, ALL Catholics so CHECK YOUR FACTS you sick muppet

  • @HopalongC aw shut the fuck up ya twat

  • this song has so many ways in making me want to cry

im not going to say then it will take to long

    so like i was saying

so many ways in making me wan to cry

i actualy happy when i here it for some resson but its jus the words that make me have a feeling in my head were i remember that loads of people die every day because of us realy

cos we dont help the worlds people

what would you think if you lived in africa or india or afganistan and had not clean water and no food

    just think or that!!

  • @hetrodoxly - the ambiguous nature of Willie McBride is pushed further by the fact that there were tens of Willie McBrides killed in the great war, and therefore gives the focus of the some more possible faces.

  • FGAU 36th ulster division and the irish munster rifle lest we forget

  • @gangman618 fannies them all who volunteered to be cannon fodder for the Brits when they treated the Irish like shite including raping the land and enslaving the people.

They should've joined Connolly, Pearse and Clarke in the Dublin GPO, Easter Monday 1916

  • @crossybhoy

Typical ignorant shite from a rabid sectarian Celtic muppet. Even your own club wants nothing to do with you braindead fuckers!

  • @applescaneire a braindead muppet who can hit the reply button once... dick. Right, let's go - what was, in every essence of the definition, remotley "sectarian" about what I just said? So they should've died for a foreign, occupying force rather than stand up and fight to get their own country back?

"I will serve neither KING nor KAISER" - James Connolly, the banner put up outside the GPO, 1916

Secondly, what has me being a Celtic supporter got to do with me being an Irish Republican?

  • @crossybhoy fuck off and do what you republicans do best, die a cowards death.

  • @mrtin2811 A cowards deth. Oh, I sthat what people like Bobby Sands, Frank Stagg, Thomas Ashe and all the other Hunger Strikers did. Or Volunteer Martin "Doco" Doherty, who was killed preventing Loyalists bombing a Dublin pub and saving countless lives. I forget how brave you Brits are - unarmed men and women (and statistically you killed more kids than the loyalists and the IRA did combined) were a speciality.

Would any of your politicians starve to death to highlight Political Status?

  • @crossybhoy A cowards death, the British Empire was the greatest empire the world had ever seen, Ireland and the Irish will fade from history without a whim, the IRA are Irish soldiers until they're shot dead then you cry poor innocent. There is no such thing as an innocent bystander. Standing alone against the nazi's wasn't brave either no?

  • @mrtin2811 no, the stance against the Nazis was extremely heroic. The British Empire will be remembered as any Empire - pretty much evil. Slavery, going to war to sell drugs, rape, robbery of land.

IRA Soldiers get military funerals, the Brits were very adapt at shooting down kids and innocent Catholics. No such thing as an innocent bystander - you;ve obviously nt seen Belfast or Derry. Bloody Sunday Marchers for civil rights - they were armed? You dont know what you're talking about.

  • @crossybhoy Yes they were armed, even the dogs on the streets know it! The likes of India, Pakistan, Zimbabwe and Ireland should have stayed within the Empire - look at the state of these countries now.

  • @mrtin2811 I think ur missing the point of the word 'Empire'. To be an empire implys that you are undemocratic and expansionist. Whatever about the IRA, Britain had no right to take over and exploit Ireland and other countries. Britain claims to fought the Nazis in the name of freedom but what to they know about when they opressed contless people. And this lark of fighting the nazis is a load of crap anyway. Britain fought a minor war. World War II was fought and won in the Soviet Union

  • @BBNYPD Total disrespect to fallen British soldiers. All those countries we gave back are doing so much better without their "opressors" Battle of Britain ring a bell? Hitler gave up attacking Britain becaue he thought he was getting nowhere thanks to the valiant efforts of every Briton. Only then did he decide to attack the soviet union. We played a massive part in the war in Africa, France and Italy. Where are you from? Thanks to the British army, navy and airfoce you arent speaking german

  • @scoski123 i totaly argree with u i think people need to pick up a book a read about the Second Battle of El Alamein whic helped wipe out the nazi forces in africa and pave the way for the invasion of italy and the d-day landings in which the britsh played a major part

  • Everywhere the Brits have been they have left heartache, pain and devastation, your just reading your own history "Law and order in Ireland have given place to a bloody and brutal anarchy, in which the armed agents of the Crown violate every law in aimless and vindictive and insolent savagery." - General Sir Hubert Gough, Commander of the Fifth Army in France, after the use of the "Black and Tans" and the Auxilliaries in Ireland said by one of your own

  • @delboyirish75 well said

  • @delboyirish75 And the Irish haven't???? Ever heard of the IRA???

  • @scoski123 Your right I'm not speaking German. I'm speaking English - despite the fact I'm Irish. Why is that? Because generations of English soldiers came to MY country and enforced an oppressive, rascist English kleptocracy which outlawed Gaelic culture. I'm sure you would be the first one to resist if this happened in England - like your grandparents probably resisted the potential German invasion. But your content to support a British army that invaded and brutally oppressed other nations.

  • @scoski123

Hey, mate ! T'wasn't the work of you British alone, you know ? Many other nations and soldiers paid the ultimate price too. Of course, not all Allied nations brought the same amount of men and equipment.

And so what ? Brazilians send an expeditionnary corp in Italy, under U.S. command. They were barely a few divisions of them. Does that make their sacrifice less honorable ? A squadron of Mexican fighter pilots fought alongside U.S. pilots in the Pacific. Do they have less merits ?

  • @Briselance all prayed the price of some idiots ;)

german soldiers was good soldiers too not all of them was nazi scum

    greetings from germany

  • @scoski123 Bullshit! Hitler could of leveled Britain had he wanted to, but he didn't. He would of seen them as part of his Araya ideology and was hesitant to destroy Britain. Britain wouldn't of had a snowballs chance in hell of winning a prolonged war with Germany. Bad decision making by the Germans is what helped England win the war, and thank fuck Hitler didn't win, but don't try and turn it around and say Hitler was unable to beat England.

  • @scoski123 Dont forget your so called Great Britain killed a hundred times the people hitler ever did, read a history book that aint british

  • @scoski123 Fuck Brits Yup The RA

  • @UnknownBombers yup, lolol. UVF undefeated Army

  • @UnknownBombers LOL! The proud SAS put a gun t there heads, and The IRA were blown away.... There corpses were left on Gibraltar that day.

  • @LordWellington15 if you knew anything the IRA didnt fight with the Irish Volunteers so your mistaken and the Ulster Volunteers were the one's who wouldnt stand foot in the republic

  • @BBNYPD That's as maybe, but you may be overlooking the Holocaust, I don't really think the Brit's ever did that.

  • @mrtin2811 You are an idiot. I can tell you now, the only thing the british empire will be remembered for is oppression and brutality. Secondly Ireland has a very strong and well known culture it will not fade away anytime soon. It has been around for thousands of years. Thirdly the british were not alone against the nazi's. And for such a "great" empire the Nazi's had you on your knees. The only reason the war was won was because of the USA and the Soviets.

  • @James33it LOL. What language are you speaking? What language does 85% of the world speak? What education system does 75% of the world follow? What banking system??? Everything civilized in this world has been based of the British, where the British have settled. We have done a lot more than you fenians could ever do. We brought you schooling, jobs and opportunity, and what do ya fenians do? Whine and complain about all the things we given you. Go to hell scum bag. NO SURRENDER

  • @LordWellington15 Maybe so but every country has contributed to modern society some more than others. You are ignorant if you think British rule was beneficial to the Irish. They exploited the country for their own gain by stealing land and taking resources. Also did you know that Fenian actually translates to mean an Irish warrior, how is that relevant? And if you are such a fond supporter of Britain and the crown why do you choose to live in Canada? "Go to hell scum bag." love it haha

  • @James33it You are obviously not familiar with the troubles in Northern Ireland, fenian is a term us Unionists use to call Republicans who want to break away from British rule. And another thing, I hardly doubt your mind can hold such intelligence, but at the small chance that you get off your x-box and turn and look out your basement window and find reality, you will find that Canada is part of the Commonwealth and has the Queen as head of State. Do me a favour and f*ck off
