The Country that makes their citizens not able to carry weapons means their citizens are more likely to get killed by those that will carry them anyway. Even though we would all love to live in a society with no violent's there simply is no such place.

SteelWeed- You make no sense. Our forefathers didn't believe in using guns for self protection? Can you tell me what the Revolutionary War was fought with? We didn't bring rocks to a gunfight against the Redcoats. The answer to this socalled debate on guns is the Middle East "revolutions" right now. The police/military/govt have guns, the people have rocks. That's what happens when you believe in gun control. And that's the whole point behind the 2nd Ammendment.

The second amendment was not designed so that anyone could carry a handgun. Revolutions need arms but handguns are not designed for war. We need to get rid of handguns.

@mrafferty74 I am not sure that they do. Are you in the military? If they do, it is not because they are accurate and good weapons. Hand guns are designed to kill people standing close to you, so if it fires numerous times you will eventually hit something close to you. Would you rather live in a place where you need a gun or a place where you dont? If you want to live where you dont need a gun you must take a stand against guns. There are countries where citizens dont carry guns

@SteelWeed2010 i know they do and yes i was in the military. im sure myself and lots of other people do not need some one standing close, or numerous shots to hit a target. i do live in a place where a hand gun makes more sence. when walking through 200 acres of forest(private land) rather have a hand gun for protection not a long gun. ever hear of close combat situations? good luck with a rifle. show me a place on earth where no guns are needed and ill show you snow whites castle.
