beginner's concealer

@elisasung I luv concealers but my skin color is not just one color...I always have to mix different colors of concealers because my skin color looks like as if I were biracial, even though I'm black. My skin is lighter than the average black person so people always recommend the wrong colors -_- what should I do?

I have the same brush ^^ personnaly I use a yellow, a green concelear and an other lightess than my skin.

But i don't know if we have to apply before or after the foundation. Because my friends told me both so I don't know !

@MeDikha i think whichever is ok,i mean put concealer before n after foundation,do what u like

i think if u put after foundation,maybe u can save the concealer n not using too much b'coz some blemish already been cover by foundation,so just need bit concealer to cover the rest visible one

i think there is no right or wrong here...

i like how you explained everything but... i have exema on my skin and if you dnt no wut tht is, its a rash that u cant put make up on it i have tried lots of produsts to get rid of it and my pimples but i cnt wear cover up it makes my zits worse

but the color of your first concelear seems too dark than your face,but when you blend with your face,it works,you said we should choose a lighter color than our skin tone,why do u choose a darker one?or it's the light?

@iNINJAinc apply some on your chin or jaw line! if it matches the color of you neck! buy that one! you want a color that matches your skin tone! if you are unsure! take a friend with you to give you another perspective! ask them does it match my next color!

ur almay clear complexion concealer is still loaded with chemicals and stuff i'm not understanding how that will make your skin better. i know all skin types are different but i don't think more chemical should be added to ur face...

@highfash it has salicylic acid which is in most of your face washes to prevent blemishes! it should calm the redness (if you have pimples) as well as the inflammation! is a optional step! some people need coverage for example if it is prom night or picture day! :D

@ColorfulKiwi apply lotion all over your face or eye cream on your eye area is a must step! this will moisturize and create a barrier for your skin so all the makeup products don't go in your pores!

@pickyjane i really love neutrogena cleansers but makeup wise not so much. i tried it! they don't do its job. it doesn't last, and product wise is a total failure! i really recommend the products i use! they are really good drug store products! if you want to really invest in concealers! the best of the best i think is bobby brown!
