If Lana's name was (even late in the writing) 'Lana Lois Lang' she and Clark would/could have remained together. Afterall, they didn't have to stick strickly to the comic book version, did they? The writers of Smallville could have simply added the name 'Lois' to Lana's full name, so that there was no need to introduce a different character to play 'Lois'. 'Lois' could have been one of Lana's middle names. The 'Lois' character they created was awkward/out-of-place in terms of chemistry & true love, by comparison to what Lana & Clark had. I know Clark & 'Lois' were destined. Quite simply, Lana was the 'Lois' for Clark; her name should have be something like, Lana Lois Lang. Simple fix!

Then, she and Clark can marry in a beautiful wedding ceremony with the famous 'happily ever after' Disney-type finale/ending. It would be like the happy ending of 'Ever After: A Cinderella Story' with Drew and Dougray. I'd love to see it!

Hey... the comic isn't cheesy! While I enjoyed Lana & Clark (I think they had the best kisses, better than as Lois & Clark), I was tired of their relationship being so depressing. They had very little joy together, until it was too late. I was ready for them to bring on Lois Lane, and while I think Tom Welling and Erica Durance do not have the same chemistry, at least their relationship is much more uplifting. I enjoyed your video, though. It was quicker than the seven years of angst.
The series should have centered on Lana and Clark more, it brought in more
viewers at the time and actually gave Superman a real break from the cheesy comic book image that is really a turn off. Kristin really brought out the best in Smallville.
Funny thing is, that the best episodes she was in, always inspired the most memorable music and scenes. It would be great if they could end the series

The series should have centered on Lana and Clark more, it brought in more
viewers at the time and actually gave Superman a real break from the cheesy comic book image that is really a turn off. Kristin really brought out the best in Smallville.
Funny thing is, that the best episodes she was in, always inspired the most memorable music and scenes. It would be great if they could end the series
with a scene similar to this video, with Lana and Clark laughing in front of the
Kent house...

MY GOD Lana.When I was a kid,for years I had a crush of Biblical proportions on this chick I would always imagine the story was real and I was Clark just so I could be with her,or magically get older so I could date the real girl playing her.......memories.

i stopped watching smallville when lana lang was gone in the series. I'm not a fan of lois... so sad that lana has to go! ;-(

I never was a huge clana fan, but I do prefer Clana instead CLois, I think that new Lois Lane ruined totally the true story of superman and ruined Lois Lane character.

The superman should be clark-lana instead the usual clark-lois... 'cause to be honest, lana lang (kristin kreuk) is way better, and more beautiful than lois (erica durance).. though she's also pretty but i prefer kristin...^^
I watched the first few seasons of the smallville... and had lost interest when lois came into picture...

@laimezify Kristin Kreuk is absolutely beautiful, she's so sweet playing Lana.
Erica is not such pretty, she is only "hot" the type who guys of audience would like.
Clark truly loved Lana and I stopped watching smallville on season 8 when the authors created that absurdity stuff to push Lana away from Clark, that's the only way to sale Clois.
Yeah , same here after season 4 when Lois comes out, I had lost the interesting gradually.

It's Eva Cassidy's version. I love it b/c she took the song and made her own. She sadly died of cancer i believe in 1995 or around that time. RIP Eva.
