My analysis: Parkinson is a interview style chat show. Guest comes on, is asked questions by the interviewer and just freestyles from there (basic template). This was an act by Kay and everyone was a bit taken back as it's not what was expected. Sometimes it's good to be different, sometimes it's not. I just don't think he is that funny at all, I did like the TV pause joke though! I wanted to see the real Peter Kay and not the stage act you see in his TV shows. I'm sure parkinson had questions.

I must be looking at a different video because I don't see the others offended and knowing David and Billy these are very cool down to earth guys and can't imagine them being upset. Because Beckham isn't threatened by Kay and isn't so full of his own self importance, unlike the others. They can't stand that he has such a command over the audience, he's so friendly and funny, yet is a huge threat to the others at the same time and they can't do a thing about it.
