There is a repeating pattern highlighted in Biblical events: Moses and Jesus both came out from Egypt and into ministry.

The New Testament pattern is a fulfillment of that patern on earth, "in the flesh" so to speak.

They never leave the sheep in the fields in winter in israel. They are sheltered. Easter = Ostara

Christmas = Yule

Halloween = Samhain

Even Ground hog day is on a pagan holliday = Imboloc, in which they worshiped the Goddess Bridgid (who the Christians turned into St. Bridget and where they got the word Bride) O.o. go figure.
