I can't find much on this movie, just that it's about the South and that Harry Crews has something to do with it. Can anyone shed some more light?

It's a unique movie. Just lots of dirty southern imagery, with a sort of deep motives-of-christianity philosophical perspective, without being judgmental or condescending. Music too, as Jim White is a singer first and foremost..

i didn't like it the first time i watched it, because of the bad video cuts and lack of structure. but after i processed it, and really thought about it, i watched it again and again. i love this movie.

i love that GIRL's voice in the barber shop. it sounds GREAT compared to the guy who is a terrible singer.

As a southern, conservative Christian, I was prepared to be insulted. Instead, I fell in love with what is a fair, thoughtful portrait of a certain type of southern culture. I never throught a movie as true as this would be made...about a subject like this.
