I agree a vile area. Although it does have some decent housing, the gangs of thugs and other lowlifes prowling the streets there made me feel uncomfortable when I worked there on a regular basis. Worked with some good people there, but am glad to be out of it. To be honest I think it's the worst place in the entire south of England (along with some South London areas).
