had this on tape as a kid scared the ****************shit out of me but they dont make films like this anymore shame today horruor films put me to sleep witin 10 mints

As a cartoonist myself I can tell you for a fact that there is no way any cartoonist would draw that detailed of artwork using just an ink pen. To many chances for mistakes doing that. Any cartoonist worth their salt first lays out the panel in light pencil THEN does the finishes in ink. This helps to avoid errors that might occur since it's easier to fix such problems during the penciling stage. I'm not saying it can't be done...just that it's not standard practice.
@pornhorn If I could draw real things into existence that fast I'd be drawing me billions of dollars! By the way, I think this is a "borrow" from Steven Spielberg's "Amazing Stories." There was an exact same concept in one of those TV shows where an artist would draw stuff and it would come to reality. He had to draw the wheels of an airplane so it would land without killing him. There was another one where a kid created goo that he could rub on magazine images to bring that image to life.
"Rawhead Rex" was another great monster film of the 80's, quite brutal death scenes in that one, and one of the coolest looking movie monsters ever. "...They called him, 'Rawhead'." ---"RAWHEAD!!!!"
This came out in 1988,not 1998. It's not cheesy,it's an awesome scary horror movie that needs a DVD release. I'd buy it in a heart beat. It's a shame that this movie isn't more popular. It deserves more respect.
My god I was soooo young when I last saw this! Does anyone know/remember if it was a serious horror that was conveniently humorous, or what?? Cos the star wipes?! So cheesy! lol

Blockbuster Online is getting more of these. I wish Netflix would too since I subscribe to both for the best of both services.

You know, for some reason, the monster seems to resemble Brian Dennehy. I don't know why.
