I have only been in a few guilds, but one thing that i noticed with this one certain guild was that the G leader didnt really want to lead, he just wanted to tell everyone what to do. He only wanted control of everything, would try to MAKE you put all your stuff in G bank. And in raids or dungeons, he was prolly one of the worst people to rage out. If you outdpsed him, he was done. Just a big baby. Left that guild ages ago and am having much more fun now. Great show Lore!

learning to delegate is part of being a guild master, taking everything onto your own plate gets overwhelming - thats what officers are for. if they dont do what you ask of them, demote them and promote someone else to do it

Good topic this week, I am one of those GMs and it made me think over my situation alittle looking at that I am currently Raidleading, organizing raids and being the GM. The task wich burned me out before I have handed out on a officer dedicated to purely that, recruiting.

Currently I think its fine but I might have to look into it since I might burn myself out in the future otherwise.

I could hand out raidleading but thee fact is that I tend to take that role even when im not supposed to.

So, in the end, overall it does not change anything for ice lance. It jsut nerfs everything else.

This same exact thing happened to me once.

A friend of mine gave me the monkey advice and now ill give it to you. If a guy walks into your office with a monkey on his back, you can take his monkey, but make sure he walks out with 2 monkeys.

And yes, I almost disbanded my guild when I got to that burnout point. But one of my best officers scolded me in a way I have never been talked to by any of my guild members, before or after this incident. That was 2 years ago and the guild is still strong

in our 25man from cataclysm we had 2 progression runs each week + wednsday to kill whatever we werent working on. Each time my GM logged on he was spammed with whisperes asking for raidspot. I was one of the officers and i had several shoutouts that i was able to answer questions and give help if someone needed it. Still our GM got pushed too far and he had to take a break and we lost a major part of our core and we slowed down alot in progress.

Officers job is to take a load of your GM, work!!
