  • We are moving into a system of guilty until proven innocent. Not a good direction to travel at all.

  • This is just aweful! I can only see this as being abused by come organizations or people who want to shut down others, sort of like the false DMCAs on YouTube.

  • There's only one reason the tyrants want to impose this un-Constitutional "policy". They're becoming nervous, VERY nervous. There are 9/11 Truthers, Birthers, anti-NWO sites, you name it. The TRUTH is getting out, and they want to suppress it. I, for one, will not tolerate my freedoms being abrogated by a cabal of criminals.

  • This is all baloney. All those file sharing things will move to China and India.

  • can you imagine if the phone company were allowed to examine the content of your phone calls or if the government were able to examine the content of your vehicle every time you drive?

  • imagine? it happens all the time

  • I hope that's sarcasm, because you just described reality.

  • mayb you need to read what i said a little more carefully. the phone companies is not allowed to listen to your calls. if so, maybe you can tell me where it is written that this is ok. that doesn't mean it doesn't happen. that isn't what i said.

  • (cont.) As for RT, their reports from Russia are definitely censored, which was particularly obvious during the war with Georgia, when a journalist resigned because they did not allow him to report that Russian troops bombed targets in Georgia outside South Ossetia. However, their reporters outside Russia do not complain about such interferences. Also, their reporting of US affairs often showcases political forces outside the mainstream libertarians, communists, black nationalists, etc.

  • *I meant to type "outside the mainstream - libertarians, communists, black nationalistsm etc."

  • @vagabondvet

State-owned news organisations in Russia are all under different levels of state control, ranging from such Kremlin mouthpieces as Channel 1 and the formerly independent NTV to the Echo of Moscow radio station, which, despite being owned by Gazprom, remains the freest news source in Russia with its chief editor resisting all interference in editorial policy and openly disobeying Putin's "requests".

  • SHELLY ROCHE:

One - I believe Shelly is a beautiful and smart lady (I know it's been stated many times) but I think she might need to go to Toastmasters or something as she'll probably be doing public speaking more often.

Two - Okay, when Russia Today is more open and talks about issues all the American media would hardly air, you know something is not right ... when did the world turn upside down?

  • ... when did the world turn upside down?

Election Day 2008 comes to mind.

  • Huge potential for abuse----perhaps they'll cancel the ISP address of anyone suspected of being a "dissident." Looking into facts proving that 9/11 was an inside job? Hey, maybe they'll cancel your whole families internet access! Can't have any THOUGHT-CRIMES here in the land of the free, now can we?!

  • Shelly don't be so nervous! Just let it go!

  • one question ISP's where? like, all over the world? it's a joke. second quaetion Copyright holders where? it's a joke.

shut them down, who cares, when they close other ones will replace them.

    Literally do your worst.

    the internet dares you!

  • Dina is just so hot! Dina i Make for you great husband! Shelly plus cred for getting onto RT! what was the story about?

  • Acts are not LAWS in a Common law country wake up sheep

legal and LAWFUL are very different

  • Sounds like a good time to create a few Dark Nets.

    Screw you MPAA and RIAA.

Get a new business model and stop trying to use the government to keep you in business

  • Big Brother is Watching You!

  • 5 stars. Watch out for function creep. In the UK the Anti Terror laws have been used by local councils for things like monitoring parents to check that they really are in the catchment area for the chosen school.

  • Way to GO Shelly!!

  • If this is what it takes to enforce copyright protection then I don't understand what people are complaining about. If you don't like ACTA then quit bitching about piracy. If you want your own content monopoly; you want to deprive everybody else of our natural copyrights, then quit bitching about the government taking away all our other rights.

  • Keep the internet free and out of the hands of the government.

  • It's already IN the hands of the g0V.

  • i love you shelly.

  • What happened to that Obama new age of transparency? Secret meetings?

  • Looking good, Shelly... Great job. :)

  • : )

    good job

  • Great job Shelly.

  • Wow, you got on Russia Today? These guys are really a good station.

  • Everyone here should contact their state and federal representatives and oppose this treaty. In fact, support an end to copyrights for music and movies. This will help bring down the extravagant salaries for the "artists" and those they serve. This will also allow more space in the market for independent music and movies.

Most music and movies aren't good these days anyway.

  • even thoug im a man...more girl power to you shelly. thats my babies momma!

  • right on shelly love ya babe look great on tv :)

  • Secret government meetings. That sounds OK. Why wouldn't everybody trust them? Because there scoundrels. Thanks Shelly and Deana. Your both hot! Another great video.

  • Keep the internet free! Oppose ACTA. Oppose cybersecurity.

  • What do you think of the freenet project? Do you think this could be a way to fight internet censorship? Just how useful is that system?

  • more Govt Control and they are so self righteous to tell us what to do...

  • I remember when you were camera shy ;-)

Good job, keep up your Press For Freedom!

  • Great job. You speak and explain the situation very clearly.

  • more of sATANS NOCENCE

  • Great Job :)

  • Shelly > Evil bitch Anne Coulter

  • Coulter must be effective to attract such bilious invective. :)

  • The SS were effective at things as well. Coulter is an effective liar.

  • Examples?

  • Don't accept ACTA!

  • Nothing like putting the money aspect back on "the people"... It's definitely a way for them to get around any legal fees of their own and shove it down our throats to have to PROVE our cases... (and we'd have to flip the bill - like that's going to happen in this economy). Figures they'd pull something like this... I am just amazed how many BEHIND CLOSED DOOR DEALS they are making these days...

    NOT GOOD!

  • Great video as always and we all appreciate what you are doing to keep us informed.

    Thank you!

  • Amazing job Shelly!!

You did an awesome job =)

We're so proud of you =)

  • Hello Shelly, Congratulations on being on RT!!! I knew one day you will make it big :)

  • shelly is the queens of freedom....she is liberty.

  • Yeah, Shelly
