he's not out of tune in a sense it is because he plays starting with an open e instead of in the song deacon starts w/ an F to G#, Bb etc.

actually ya dude i do i play alto sax tenor sax sitar and after those i learned bass so ya trust me dude i understand where your coming from......if you know what a sitar is then i answered your questions about theory and its not like you can get tabs off the internet for a saxaphone and i read music from books not tabs well...the every once in a while tab but ya dude so dont try to tell me i dont know music....

you have to play it in the key of F then it sounds better . that means on the 1. 4. and the 6. fret of the e-string . he plays it in e so the bass is not out of tune ;-)
