i have both and personally think that the e.l.f one is very much less effective than UDPP! i live in a perma-summer climate and have oily lids so they really make a huge difference to me when i apply my makeup. with the e.l.f primer my liner (i use revlon liquid liner on a daily basis) smudges in the inner corners after a few hours and with UDPP it doesn't smudge at all even after a good 12 hours : ) so yep just my input for anyone who's interested!!

@missbrownies90 those primers do different jobs. face primer is more for a smoother application, whereas eye primer is for the color vibrancy, and the long time wear of the eyeshadows. i would get two different ones.

Also, dusting powder over your eyelids works too. And since you're trying to save $ (me too!) the elf eyelid primer is only a DOLLAR at target, which is really cheap! I hope one of these options works for you!!! hope i helped :)

I think for the value , the lasting power , and the lak of harsh chemicals in the e.l.f. Mineral Eye Primer, it is a much better deal . It's not tested on animals , it hypoallergenic , and doesnt have many harsh chemicals .

I have tried both. Urban Decay is my favorite since I JUST got the e.l.f. primer. The e.l.f. primer is a little watery, whereas ud is more gunky and thick. However with e.l.f. you only need to apply so little. I think it's a great alternative. I wore my eyeshadow on for ten hours straight and no creasing or fading so for just a dollar I think you're getting more than that you paid for lol

I happen to have both and I love both but I spent $1.00 on my E.L.F. primer and spent $9.00 on my Urban Decay primer, and my Aunt and I did an experiment and we tried both of them, I wore the UD primer for one week and she tried the E.L.F. one at the same time, and we switched and we love both, thanks for the review.

hm i don't understand, I just got my ELF stuff in the mail today, tried on the "elf Eyelid Primer" and i noticed that my eyelids look kind of wet and shiny but i thought that's what it's supposed to be. I put on my eyeshadow, go to work, and when i got home, OMGGG, i had very bad eyeshadow creasing. I must look so horrible at work

@yukipham18 if your eyelids are still kind of wet and shiny then you need to keep blending and blending until the primer is nearly absorbed into your skin. People are complaining that the e.l.f. primer is too wet but as long as they blend it in until it's as dry as it can be, they should be fine for at least a while.

Also, set it with some loose powder. That works for me :)
