yeah! NEVER brush your teeth before applying any whitening kit! It does create microscopic cuts in your gums and they will become white because of the peroxide!!! I did it when i applied the rembrandt whitening kit, and my gums had white spots! lol! they gi away, but it still burns for a few days! Plus it causes more sensitivity!

ok do you use manual toothbrush those do more harm to your teath then good, and if you whiter teeth you should get an eletrical tooth brush those take out the yellow out of your sexy teeth instead of paying 40 dollars for it, or you can try a method that dentist approve, using baking soda with water and toothbrush rinse the toothbrush on that baken soda, and quickly but gently and yet sexy brush your teath for about 2 minutes, that will give you a white smile guaranteed.

I just purchased the Crest pro effects strips & iam having a problem with major drool as soon as i apply them . I can handle the taste but the amount of drool that is produced is a big complaint. you really shouldn't be whitening your teeth while you have braces. just wait until you can get your braces removed before whitening your teeth. the other thing is that it really depends on what you drink/and genetics on how white you can get your teeth to be. my dad has a genetic disorder that he inherited from his father that makes his teeth yellow brown. My dad doesn't drink coffee or soda, and he doesn't smoke either. it's inherited. me, i've had slightly yellow teeth since i was little.

or, what you can do is mix hydrogen peroxide with baking soda into a paste and brush your teeth with it...very effective :p (make sure to dilute the hydrogen peroxide with water) and be careful because using too much hydrogen peroxide can actually damage your gums if you use it too much and too often.

I'm a dental assistant... bleaching your teeth can cause sensitive teeth. And should not be done as an EVERY day regiment. Also you should use a soft toothbrush. And toothbrush should not cut your gums. Irritations in the gums are caused by gingivitis and bacteria or food under the gums. Best thing is to brush teeth often and use a bleaching regiment your dentist approves for best results.

teeth whitening is actually really bad for your teeth. it strips off the enamel and make them really sensitive and once the enamel is gone it is GONE. considering most of the people watching this are 13 yr old girls, i suggest just brushing your teeth with unltrabrite (my favorite) toothpaste twice a day) and worry about whitning when a lot older.
