This version is in "Two C" tuning or GCGCD.

Mary Z Cox has a real nice version too that I hope to get up soon.
She plays it in Two C also but capoed second fret making it Two D.
There is a lot of "drop thumb" in Mary's version which gives it a unique sound.
My version here is from West Virginia inspired by Dwight Diller.

Sounds nice old timer! I have never been able to figure that style of playing out...cant get the bum ditty down. I can tell you play that 5 string!!

Love it. Man, I didn't know you could play than dang banjo so well. Good song; great rhythm and feel. I've gotta learn how to play one of them things....great job. It's great.
