An interesting note: this was a low-budget B-movie, and the producers had only Rupees 50/- to pay for the song, but Sapan-Jagmohan wanted Rafi to sing this ghazal!! With great fear they approached Rafi with their request. Lo and behold, Rafi agreed!!! Shows Rafi had a good ear for a good ghazal.

they were assistants to great madan mohan. they probably got this song as a gift from Madan Mohan as their later movie songs were really below average. This tune is by madan mohan effectively.
