I purchased the cuff a year ago and it has changed my life. I, too, have CMT and was recommended to wear mafos. After seeing Cindy's utube's I ordered a pair. They lift my feet and allow me to walk almost normal. I no longer have to worry about tripping. I no longer have pain between my shoulders from holding my body stiff fearing I was going to fell. I have broken both ankles due to drop foot. I am diabetic and after using the cuffs for 3 weeks my blood work came back better.

  • I have CMT & unfortunately at age 49 I am limited to my ability to walk. I have to use a walker & can only walk very short distances so I mainly use a wheelchair.

The dorsalfoot as shown are for CMT patients that have minimal drop foot, like Cindy does.

I wear a solid AFO (no hing). without it I have total drop foot. I tried the dorsal foot but it did not give me the stability I needed with my weak ankles / legs. The dorsal foot made me extremely fatigued and caused my pain to worsen.

  • How to see if the dorsal foot might help you before spending the money.

This is not safe to wear long term. If it helps, you need to purchase the product dorsal foot. > Take a 2 liter plastic water bottle and cut out a form to fit around your lower leg/ankle. Pad it to protect your leg from the plastic edges. Punch 2 holes for the shoe lace to thread thru.(The dorsal foot form uses hooks on the outside of the form which is much safer). This is a great product for those with minimal foot drop
