Many great gospel music singers have done secular music for instance -Aretha Franklin- perhaps the greatest female gospel singer of all time. Jennifer Hudson, and Jennifer Holliday, Whitney Houston, I mean the list goes on and on. It is part of the Black experience to go between the two.

That`s exactly it, people were in the "spirit". I`m certain, after hearing Miss Patti for a while, that everyone in the audience needed to get up on their feet and celebrate. And she allowed some friends to share the stage because she truly is not about ego. Whenever people gather to celebrate the spirit, please don`t put them down. Unless you think you can do better and get up there and do it. This was a Christmas Day Concert.

@Worme95 - Cindy Ratcliffe-Cruse is an AWESOME singer!!! When the Lord blesses someone with a beautiful voice that moves the spirit of others, I doubt if color is on His mind! I am a married christian male and I listen to secular artists and feel no condemnation. Are married couples supposed to listen to gospel when it's time to get intiamte. Rance allen was there as well as yolanda adams who was a part of this concert. The concert took place at Greater Grace Temple here in Detroit Michigan. I Had the pleasure of being there!

@Worme95 - Cindy Ratcliffe-Cruse is an AWESOME singer!!! When the Lord blesses someone with a beautiful voice that moves the spirit of others, I doubt if color is on His mind! So although there are wonderful Black singers out there, let's not discount the White, Asian, Mideastern and Hispanic singers as well. I agree with you Worme95. :-)

Patti, the guy on the keyboard and Rance Allen are all awesome! They really sing it . whoever can criticize any of them needs to take a look at themselves. I am a married christian male and I listen to secular artists and feel no condemnation. Are married couples supposed to listen to gospel when it's time to get intiamte. Thank God for artists like patti labelle who make love songs as well as sing the Gospel

Rance allen was there as well as yolanda adams who was a part of this concert. The concert took place at Greater Grace Temple here in Detroit Michigan. I Had the pleasure of being there!
