Regardless of the USA, there is France, and Sweden who are leaders in fighter tech. Mirages or Rafael or Grippens are an option that skirt the USA and yield top proven performance. Possibly the Euro fighter is an option but is likely too expensive. There are options other than Chinese garbage.

@good2goskee coz US stuff is too expensive and US play balance games between Pak and India and that source is not readily available. And also, Pakistan could produce JF-17 in its PAC Karma facility. That's important for Pak to get its own CAPABILITY. Pak is a independent country that has its own pride to eventually get better indigenious production of its own defense business. We chinese is simply a more of friend and partner rather than dictator who could invade Pak to realize its own interest

If you guys are not friendly with the US, than buy Russian which is WAY better than cheap Chinese garbage. Or, buy French mirages or Rafale or even the Swedish gripens which is cheap and affective. @good2goskee yes it maybe easy to buy but when ur plane break down, u need parts to fix. u see, us, russia, and france are smart. they sell their plane to pak but then, their plane part are at sky price, who is dumb enough to do that? thats why they want the chinese to help them make their own plane. i'm sure chinese tech arnt that bad. if they can make J20 5thgen fighter, why cant they make a comparable 4thgen fighter to the west? in real life win and lose is depend on the pilot not the plane.

Seems crazy that PAKAF has to settle for Chinese garbage. Regarding the J20 that is a long long away from being a functional active craft. @jack99889988 those are heavy concerns, but the PAKAF uses f-16s. I doubt the USA maintains the PAK f-16 fleet. I also think that there is more to the USA being in Pakistan than the Taliban. I doubt that the USA will attack Pakistan once the Taliban have been disolved and Qadaffi is finished. India swings between Russia and the West and PAK is tight with China. It would be far too sensative for the USA to attack them. If Pakistan doesn't behave, I could see the USA pouring support to India.

India is one of the only major countries of the world that has been been unable to design and manufacture its own planes, tanks and missiles that work. The Key word is “work’. India has struggled for over two decades in designing the Tejas and it is not close to flight trials. The LCA, the Arjun, Trishul, Akash and other missiles are the same failed stories.
