  • This sounds to me like "The Fox Jumped Over the Parson's Gate." Is it so?

  • I was just listening live to Lincolnshire poacher number station live. Its on right now.

  • Oh Get Outa Here With a BoomBoom Boom!!

And Don't Come Back no More!!

  • Numbers station? I found it rather comforting to hear it on one, made it seem like not all espionage and skullduggery is being practiced only by Foggy Bottom Ivy League douchebags and Kim Jong Il, but maybe, just maybe, Dublohwseven is actually out there. Now, Swedish Rhapsody: that's creepy.

  • The numbers Mason, what does it mean.

Sorry, had to do it :-)

  • What's with all the numbers? (A confused Australian over here, see.)

  • @NeoVelocity They play this tune on a certain numbers station (basically just these "hidden" shortwave radio frequencies that broadcast a series of numbers, letters or tones, in case you didn't know).

  • @NeoVelocity you should know, the second lincolnshire poacher station was based out of australia

  • N0. 1 k33p h34r1ng 7h3 num83r5! G37 7H3M 0U7 0F MY H3AD! N0N0N0N0N0N0!

  • @WhyDidIJustEatThat Haha, what a clever reference to Black Ops! And it's not like everybody makes the same reference to every video that is in any way related to numbers stations, either...

  • @Csp499 Yeah, Im sorry. =3=

  • Sounds kinda like the old song"Get Out Of Here With a BoomBoomBoom!!(And Don't Come Back No More!!)".

  • The Lincolnshire Poacher is a fine old English folk song, - "Oh, 'twas my delight on a shining night in the season of the year etc." And has nothing in it , intrinsically,of bombast...

  • Bombastic trash

  • @sitwosaints why bombastic trash ?

  • Yes, yes, yes Who could forget such a memorable song.

  • this song gives me the cold dry fear.

  • I'm a church organist have this to play for a funeral in three days. Luckily I have the music in "The Oxford Song Book" published in 1931 by the Oxford University Press,, by Percy C Buck. Although my copy of this book is 'melody line only', I am obviously able to harmonise this for the pipe organ. I thought I'd share these details to answer 'where can I get the music' questions; there's bound to be many copies on Amazon & Ebay for next to nothing. Richard (Lincolnshire UK)

  • @PipeOrganHymnsG0OJF Must be an awful cheery funueral, mate.

  • Whenever I hear this song, I automatically think of numbers stations. And I'm freaked the fuck out of my mind, don't know why.

  • My worst fear is accidentally tuning into a numbers station with the Lincolnshire Poacher song playing, turning on the news, and seeing that the UK has just gone to nuclear war with the US.

  • @upgradeORKYBOYZ LOL i suspect they would just colour over the UK with a blue pencil.

  • Greetings to all yellow bellies from Yorkshire

  • Once a poacher, always a poacher 2RA.

  • Baby station

    Shabash

  • This was actually for the 10th of foot. The Lincolnshire Regt. which became The Royal Lincolnshire Regt. in recognition for a job well done during the second world war. In 1964 they became part of the The Royal Anglian Regt.

  • @kajamix. affraid it is military, im in 2 royal anglian and we sing it all the time and have it played at parades

  • The military band can play anything but it's not military. The song is about rich Lincolnshire men who come to the derby at Ascot. Hence the line "success to all you gentlemen who come from Lincolnshire".

  • its actually 2nd battalion the royal anglian regiment the royal regiment of lincolnshire
