  • What a finish. I Doubt theres a fighter in history who could have beaten this Roy Jones

  • I was there for my birthday!!!

  • How can Paz work his way in against Roy's jab?..I mean look at that jab!

  • Vooov

  • vinny paz looks silly trying to dance and taunt like roy

  • @howardt91 i no right

  • at 1:57 roy buckles paz's legs

  • Someone noticed that at 7:16 of the video was written "RAY" Jones Jr?

Perhaps "ROY" Charles was writing the names, lol...

  • @Kingpodrera HAHAHAHOOOOHOOO

  • Every Dog has his Day..

  • Vinny was totally outclassed in this fiight. No match for Jones......

  • Gotta give credit to Vinny Paz. He showed the heart of a lion in this fight and he had the right idea in the early rounds. The only way you could beat prime Roy Jones is to muscle him into a corner and do work to his body. Roy hated fighting with his back to the ropes, that was the only place he was vulnerable. If you try to stand in the middle of the ring and box with him you lose every time, just too quick, too explosive and too talented. Roy Jones Jr = best super middleweight of all time.

  • @PHILLYHEAT215 Watch Jones' fights with Brannon and especially Sosa. He willingly goes to the ropes against big, strong guys and counter-punches the hell ouf of them in close. Brannon was a bum, but Sosa was a huge hitter and an immensely strong guy. Jones straight schooled him in his comfort area and stopped him in two, and Sosa was also known for his durability (the stoppage was questionable, though).

  • thanks for the great vid!!

  • This Roy that we're seeing here never lost a fight. The closest anyone ever came from beating this man was Hopkins who won 4 rounds when Roy had a busted hand and was quoted after the fight saying he had an "off night." I can't think of anyone who can beat a 46 year old Hopkins on an off night and a busted hand let alone a 28 year old Hopkins.

  • 2:53 jones Dropping BOMBS !!!!

  • I LOVE WATCHIN ROY J BEAT UP ON WEAK ASS MEXICANS IT FUNNY CUZ.ITS ALSO FUNNY WHN THA MEXICAN BAR FIGHTS AND LANDS NOTHIN AND ALL THE MEXICANS START CHEERIN LIKE HE DID SUMTIN BIG LMAO!!YALL CANT FIGHT.NO FINNESS

    .

  • @MrTakeoff27 Whos this Mexican ur speakin on??

  • @MrTakeoff27

    but..vinny paz is italian?

  • @MrTakeoff27 You really think that a guy called Vinny Pazienza, who speaks like an extra from Rocky 3 is Mexican???? Stop embarrassing yourself, you sound like you were bullied by a Mexican kid at school. Speaking of school, I'll educate you just a little, its 'finesse' dumbass.

  • that last hook nearly took his head off...

  • Pazienza looks like Eddue Guerero LOL

  • At this particular time in his career, i dont think anybody coulda beat roy

  • This is one of roy jones jr's best fight in the sense that the 6th round was a no hitter! They stated that he did not take one physically demanding punch.

  • @12rossja That was the 4th round.

  • Get It..?!! Showtime is over.. FUCK ´EM ALL UP!!

  • roy's jab sounds like a snakebite

  • Amazing uppercut combination! Roy was a beast.

  • Roy started crying after the fight because he though he'd broken Vinnys neck. So quit with all your abuse!

  • Comment removed

  • Vinny looks like a human punching bag!!

  • Pazienza had no chance whatsoever in this fight. He talked his way into this one, and Roy basically sliced him up and finished him in style. Paz made some good money, but he got a severe ass whipping for his time.

  • couldnt have happened to a BIGGER MEAT BALL PIECE OF SHIT......FUCK YOU GUIDIO....THATS WHAT YOU GET FOR BEING A TALKING TUFF GUY....FUCH YOU..ASS HOLE!!

  • roy was one of the best ever. vinny paz is the fuckin man too.

  • When My BOY ROY was da BEST.

  • jones's jab is unreal!

  • RAY JONES, JR at the end

  • Roy should've retired after winning the heavy weight belt, that was his goal & the perfect opportunity for him to leave an unblemished mark on his rep & career. Still he was fun to watch.

  • Another LOUD-MOUTHED Italian bites the dust. ha, ha,ha

  • Roy, man... look how low you've gone... retire now, please. This is how I want to remember you.

  • @lee1990lee first off, i dont blame vinny, in fact i respect him because he fought roy at that weight,at that time in his career, and after a broken neck. About ruiz i see your point, but roy jones was so much better than ruiz. Even though ruiz was a heavyweight, roy had it easier vs ruiz than vinny vs roy. As for roy, he had a very succesful career but his people should stop him from fighting any longer. He cant beat father time.

  • This fight should shame roy, he fought a blown-up lightweight!!! Thats why people critisize roy so much, he had natural talent but fought too many cops, bakers, and low level fighters.

  • @mywordsaretrue but john ruiz fought a blown up light middleweight in roy jones and lost iran barkley foguht a blow up light weight and lost vinny wanted the fight he got it theres nuthink wrong with fighting somone moving up in weight plenty of guys have moved up and won

  • Why didn't Roy use the jab like that all the time?!?!?

  • lowlife ginny

  • If Roy jabbed like that in every fight he'd probably still be unbeaten.

  • @waltbabyluv9493 That is so true ...

  • you can only retain that kind of athleticism, power and reflexes when you grow older, its really sad that he's still fighting. Should of retired after John Ruiz but he just can't let boxing go.

  • I just love how Roy shrugs off his shoulders to his opponent at 2:51

He knew it was all over. Amazing fighter and one of my favs.

  • Roy is faster then Chuck Norris! :)

  • 2:51

  • The reason for Jones downfall was simply his move to heavyweight and then back down again, you simply can't lose that much muscle/weight and be effective. It took alot out of him. His speed and skills were unmatched, great fighter and champion, who should be in the hof someday.

  • Good finish from Jones though the ref should have stopped it much sooner.

  • One of the greatest boxing finnishes of all time!

  • @76Gazz Yep. Beautiful combo that only RJ could've thrown. A right and a left uppercut and it's game over.

  • This cocky overrated POS was talking about hollywood making a movie about his life since he was an amateur. The guy is so dislikable that only a few loyalists from his native town will go see it. He is a braggart and a big mouth. Anyone who truly knows the sweet science would agree. He never beat a top fighter in their prime. And I don't count Haugen bc he never REALLY beat Haugen (in their 1st fight). I give "The Fighter" my 2 thumbs up bc that was about a DECENT fighter Mickey Ward.

  • roy jones' skillset is simply unmatched.... no even sugar ray robinson comes close

  • great finish from Roy,mashed him up like potatos...

  • greatest combo ever at 2:54!

  • V.P. is a glorified club fighter. He did get outpointed by Haugen twice, ( I saw the rematch at ringside in AC) he did complain in the ring to refs, and he was a dirty low class guy all around. He would grab the ropes at his own leisure without penalty, hold and hit, etc. If you are saying that he was not a big mouth you are deluding yourself. I have never seen a more self loving phony in the sport. The guy ate punches like a masochist and never truly learned his trade.

  • @banacek8675 But he took his lumps like a man.

  • Just ask Macho Camacho.

  • Sometimes a mouth just doesn't win championships.

  • VINNY PAZIENZA HAS A LOT OF HEART. I LIKE THIS BOXER.

  • roy was toying with him...he could have ended this in rd 1.

  • ...CHILD PLEASE! Pac Man just fought at a "catch weight" with Margarito; Why didn't De la Hoya, Mosely, Vargas call him out in his prime. Thats right, they didn't want none! If anyone who is thinking of taking up boxing, or introducing their kids to boxing, HERE IS THE BLUEPRINT!

  • This man is simply one if not the greatest junior middleweight to heavyweight fighter to ever lace up a pair of boxing gloves! He had every single technique that you could ask for with defense as his primary cause when he went on the offensive it was over! He made the busiest fighters think twice; you could see by compubox that their output were always lower when they faced RJJ. Tarver had been to so many of RJJs' fights that I lost count, but he waited until Roy went to heavy to call him out...

  • When asked: "Best fighter ever?" Roy Jones Jr is my answer. Most skilled boxer to date. Not p4p best but skill wise.

  • 2:54 best combo in the history of boxing

  • MAYWEATHER WHO?

  • roy jones is easily in the top 3 fighters that ever lived with out a doubt all the haters can go fuck them selves they dono shit . he fought everyone there was to fight never backed down to no one . a fighting style even boxing greats couldnt believe

  • it's been hard to remember this roy jones as his saga drags on into a standard late-career sadness, so I was happy to watch this fight again. I must have been part of that "y'all" that musta forgot.

  • 2.50 beautiful boxing

  • I'd LOVE to see ONE of you "keyboard cowboys" hop in the ring with Vinny for just 1 round...

  • Comment removed

  • Was there a fight in the crowd at 0:24? lol

  • Vinny looks like he's having a fit! Why does he shake and shit? He's just wearing himself out and throwing 5 punches in 1 round? lol

  • @PugMarshall2906 cuz he got no clue how to get through to jones so he's reduced to that

  • Roy was a unique fighter... but, I never felt he'd be one that could take punishment... from simple science. Roy doesn't have the big head or square jaw that most fighters have that can absorb head shots well. It was clear than when his reflexes slowed and he aged that he would get beat and it wasn't gonna be pretty. Same with Mayweather... guys like Ali, Leonard, Holyfield, etc. can take punishment and have the heads built to absorb head shots.

  • @eugenemcgirt mayweather can take a punch. he took some big shots from corley. and the mosley fight most fighters would have gone down from those shots esp the second one which was on the temple which is almost an immediate knockdown because your all dizzy but he he had recovered before the round ended and was actually firing back.

  • I always hated Pazienza, he was the biggest cheapshot artist in boxing!...He repeatedly hit people after the bell, or held the back of peoples heads and hit....I'm glad RJJ kicked his ass

  • Look close at that wind up UPPER CUT at 2:56.

  • prime roy jones was unstoppable from middle 2 light heavy

  • Loved RJJ in his athletic prime. No one could touch him

  • roy put one of the sickest combos i ever seen in boxing on him

  • Roy schooled the Paz!

  • HA! that dirty fighter got what he deserved! POWPOW!

  • Damn...

  • Wow it took Jones 6rds to stop a blown up lightweight who was way past his prime. No wonder everyone forgot about this bum once he started getting K.O.ed

  • @M14Mann Roy jones doesnt like to jump on people so harshly. He HATES hurting people. Crazy i know. Look after the first knockdown. Most Fighters would just jump on the guy. Jones hesitates. He does that A LOT. Jones actually cried when got to his locker room because he thought he seriously hurt Vinny

  • @M14Mann Roy jones was never a bum. Like i just dont get people that discredit really good fighters. I dont get it at all. like wow when i hear ignorant comments like that i really wonder if the person has any clue about boxing at all.

  • @oz1227 My favorite question when dealing with bum jones is: What do sumbu kalamby, michael nunn, and iran barkley have in common? answer there all fighters jones ducked. my point being is, jones had physical skills but he was weak mentally (ducked fighters he should have fought but the risk was to great). it's why he's forgotten now.

  • @oz1227 I reakon it's painfully obvious that a lot of people don't have a clue what they're talking about when it come's to the subject of boxing or they wouldn't be making half of the silly comments they do. A hell of a lot of people including those who know enough about the sport to know better say Jones was overrated and all the rest of it but Jones was SPECIAL. A once in a life time fighter and any true fan of boxing will ALWAYS remember him for the sheer genius he was.

  • @danjon54 Not only a genius but also the most athletically gifted boxer that has ever lived. To be that big naturally yet still have arguably the fastest hands the sport has ever seen plus the countless other advantages he had evertime he stepped in the ring in his prime.

  • guido got murdered

  • That was an ass kicking of the highest order

  • This Roy Jones would've destroyed Danny Green no doubt.

  • Jones at his best here. Vinnie was a CHAMPION fighter. Lets not forget that. No-one could beat Roy in the shape his in here.

  • Pazienza is a pretty tough SOB. But Roy Jones in his prime is simply a beast.

  • That third knockdown was pretty sweet. Just an emphatic ass-kicking.

  • Vinnie paz is my legit cousin.

  • Very Entertaining fight, Vinny was showing his ass, but he wasnt as fast enough.

  • I was there in peanut heaven..best combo knockout I've ever seen

  • That last KO was beautiful..

  • roys amazing :D :D :D what a style

  • This is real special right here.

  • Prime Jones

  • brillant finish to the fight, what a ko at the end........ them last few punches wud of hurt hurt hurt

  • can someone please post the pazienza rosenblatt whole fight? PLEASE

  • Paz = Cocky, arrogant, and overconfident.

  • Pazienza Was Totally Out Classed!!

  • For the true Roy Jones fans you know that this man has never lost. Yes Roy Jones has been beat but not this one the one who got beat was a shell of this man. This man lost fewer rounds in his prime than any fighter in history. He would beat hall of fame fighters so easily people thought it must be because they weren't that great no it was that Roy was that much better. Bernard Hopkins has been fighting the top fighters for 20 years the only time he lost a fight that wasn't close was against RJ.

  • Yeah but Bernard Hopkins was at the end of his career at that time. Bernard was a shell of himself when RJ fought him. Jones has skills though, no doubt!

  • Jones may not have been beaten (discounting the DQ) during his prime, but he also didn't fight the best opposition available - after Hopkins and Toney, the next in line were Benn, Collins, Michalczewski, but none of those fights ever happened. At heavyweight, he could and should have taken on much better fighters than John Ruiz, but never did. Jones was far too concerned with only taking "safe" fights, and that is why his legacy will be one of massive potential...that went largely unfulfilled.

  • @garethac81 I don't think Benn would have lasted long with his absent defence, Toney is still fighting so that says something about the quality he had, I've never been the biggest fan of Collins. Rjj v Mclellan would have been good.

  • @CapsLockRAGE

I agree with you about Benn...but the point is, we'll never know. With Benn, Collins, Michalczewski and quite a few other potential big fights, Jones opted to pass them up and fight weaker opposition instead. His MO was to get the highest paydays for the lowest risk...you could call that smart, but when it comes to building a legacy as a boxing great, that policy hurts him in a big way.

  • @garethac81 I just wish Roy would stop now, but I don't think he will to be honest.

  • @CapsLockRAGE

I agree...it's always sad to see a great boxer go on fighting too long. His loss to Danny Green was especially humiliating. But with that said, these final losses actually don't mean much when evaluating Jones' career, because old fighters going out on a trail of losses has long been in the norm in this sport. It's not the final losses that will hurt Jones' legacy...it's the fights as a young man he never took that will sell him short when comparing him to the greats.

  • @garethac81 - The funny thing is, when I look back at old fights of his, his flaws are more obvious now that I know what they lead to; like failing to circle away and getting caught on the ropes, I almost cringed expecting him to get K.O'd again, even though I know who wins the fight! lol

(Obviously back then, he had the reflexes along with the ability to flurry off the ropes & he wasn't just standing there like a lame Winky-Wright-Defense impersonator)

  • @bigsleep32 tyson won almost every round while with rooney. But like tyson, jones got old fast.

  • @bigsleep32

So in this case true fan means deluded hugger?

    What hall of fame fighters?

Mike McCallum who was great in the mid 1980's? Who Roy fought in 1996? Over a year after he lost to the great Fabrice Tiozzo?

Bernard will be in the hall when he retires but that wasn't exactly a dominating win and people didn't think he wasn't or couldn't be great.

So that leaves who? John Ruiz, that young knock out kid?

Roy's record is a blackhole of talent. Or at least his win column is.

  • @slimer84 left foot, left hook, left uppercut!right foot, right hook, right uppercut!left foot, left hook, left uppercut, goodnight!you dont have to like him,but you (should) respect his skills!he had (great)boxing skills and (great) understanding of how to apply them in the ring!

  • @slimer84 John Ruiz may not have been an exciting fighter but he is a legit hw hall of famer who beat some good fighters, and it's not easy for a fighter to jump from mw to hw or more guys would have done it so far there's been only 2. Also he did dominate Hopkins 8rds to 4, and Bernard was never in the fight. And lastly you wanna say Vinny, James Toney, Montell Griffin, Virgil Hill, and Tarver had no talent? (all were multiple time champs)

  • @bigsleep32 yes i loved watching this roy when i was young.. his left hook was faster then most peoples jab... he could put punch together out of no where.. roy just had no Defence but he didnt get hit that much... roy jones jr the great...

  • @bigsleep32

lol give me a break man rjj was a paper champion, did all he could to avoid getting in the ring with a decent fighter...

  • @Robstailey paz devil iz da best fighter he eva faught

  • @Robstailey who didn't he fight?...name one!

  • @Robstailey thats why he fought guys like James Toney and Bernard Hopkins...and then moved on to fight heavyweight even though he was outweighed by more than 30 lbs...

  • @bigsleep32 . I tell people in my all time p4p top 5 roy has to fit in there somewhere. And even people who know boxing will be like well i dunno he got kod blah blah blah tarver this and that. Roy had athletic ability like only IMO 4 fighters ever had him, ali and whitaker, myweahter jr (if he beats pacman eventually) Once jones got older and moved up in weight he lost what made him special, and he now needs to retire. But in his prime one of THE BEST fighters to ever lace up

  • @bigsleep32 .. I thought the first fight against Hopkins was close .. I wouldn't say it was easy. He did beat the living shit out of James Toney though .. I would say he embarrassed Toney.

  • @bigsleep32 True. That's 1 way of looking @ it. You could also make the argument that the Hopkins who fought Roy the 1st time, wasn't the same fighter he grew to become. Roy CHOSE to continue fighting. You must average his career as a whole. I do know what you mean though. But 1 more thing. During those years when Jones was unbeatable, there didn't seem to by many prime/great fighters. Not his fault, but still. The losing fewer rounds thing, comparable to Sweet P Whitaker.

  • @CHRISTIANBOUND36, ... If these money, on it ..I guess so!!!

  • Roy Jones, jr. is an Alien Assassin, from another planet!!! We don't have the DNA technology to prove it . but, we will in about 100 years, we'll know then, and feel like a bunch of fools. Probably, was on a probing mission, and crash land here, in the in 1950's or 1970's Only he wasn't a little green & silver man!!! But a full grown " PREATOR " soldier/scout, Can you explain the "Superhuman" hand speed, and Heavyweight punching power for his size, and Especially the endless stamina!!! hahaha.

  • @MrJeffreydunson you dont believe that really ??

  • @CHRISTIANBOUND36, ...Of course not, just having some fun, with you boxing fans!!!! You guys are at times so damn serious!!! Has the sport, cost you guys some money???? or what???

  • @MrJeffreydunson calm down buddy well there are weirdos out there who will make comments like that for example sum believe bush and obama are reptillians !!

  • you'll never see another fighter with that level of skill,he was a special fighter!

  • @reefhands the pazmanian devil

  • @reefhands I hope for the sake of boxing fans and the sport of boxing we will see another person with Roy's skill.

  • @rexboogie Unfortunately, we probably won't. I've been a boxing fan my whole life and was an amateur fighter from the late 80's until 1994, and I see the progression of supremely athletes becoming less interested in boxing, and moreso in MMA, basketball, and football. The once rich culture of amateur boxing in this country has all but (as evinced by the US team's lack of gold medals in '08). Boxing is getting absorbed, literally, by MMA ... alot of ex-pros are hired to train MMA guys now.

  • @reefhands you not lying. Like terminator with gloves. Like Tyson from 85 to 89.

  • insane hand speed but paz has 120% warrior heart

  • @RJJP4PKING I agree man. I admire both fighters. RJJ for his skill set and Paz for his heart. They are both true boxing legends.

  • Can please somebody take Vinny for a dancing school ?!

  • One of the most impressive K.O's I've seen. Not one punch but 6 punches from different angles and they all land flush. WOW

  • I remember seeing this live, fuck I was so happy to see that *** bleed, especially cause that fucker was on steroids as well. he didn't belong in the same sentence as Roy Jones, let alone fighting him. Just don't do really stupid shit to get a bit more money.....I guess she'll know in the next life....yeah.....

  • I agree with ya... I just saw the end of the Paz/Rosenblatt fight.... paz is no sportsman and deserved this beating

  • man... wish roy would have kept that jab going throughout... he might be undefeated to this day if he had cause even though he was slower vs. tarver he was still quicker than any LHW.

  • The most Wicked KO/TKO Combination I've ever seen. Oh my Goodness.

  • 2:06 just the sound of that punch is sick

  • Letz take our hat off to vinnie. He had a go but succumbed to a more superior/quicker fighter. Vinnie, I salute you.... Roy, u just da man.

  • I still wish Vinny would've pinned Roy on the ropes and slugged it out more! Don't try and box with him!

  • Wow, 1:58 was some solid work. its like rockem sockem robot stuff.

  • Classiest KO ever!

  • vinnie had one of the worst defenses ive seen tex cobb. woulda done more if he wasnt jumpin around so much but jones had a sick KO for this one

  • Vinny is using the same defense as the former, and current youngest HW champions... he's doin all that footwork trying to close the distance.

  • Roy has a glass jaw though.

  • or he move down from 190 to 175 and got hit with a big shot

  • That KO combo was wild

  • increible combinación final de Jones! magnifica!

  • i think vinnie just wasnt ready at all, he underestimated his opponent, if he didnt do all those fancy moves he might of lasted longer

  • u really think Vinny would have lasted longer if he was a stationary target? hmmmmm

  • Roy Jones at his complete and devastating best. Period

  • That was a crazy six punch combo.

  • One of the best looking combinations for a knockout i've ever seen.

  • Paz didnt have a chance. i dont know why some people thought he was a beast. he did nothing beast-like the entire fight but dance himself to sleep

  • think any ufc fighter can take those shots from even a 40 y/o jones?

  • vinny paz shoulda kept his hands up. i doubt it woulda mattered in this fight but yeahh....

  • lol dey spelled his name wrong.....i like vinny tho

  • that was a rape fest

  • That dude just got jabbed to death for 4 rounds.
