  • John Stossel is clearly an idiot. He blames the lack of rebuilding in new orleans on big government?

No sorry. If that happened in the UK that city would of been rebuilt, by the government, straight away.

In america nothing happens. Because nobody cares and neither does the government. Afterall they are mostly black people down there.

  • @srspower 'No sorry. If that happened in the UK that city would of been rebuilt,' What the hell are you basing this on?

  • B.S. alert at 2:55 the founding fathers were largely secularists Thomas Jefferson who was mentioned earlier in this interview actually rewrote the bible but took out all the miracles. John Adams was an agnostic as well its documented. so this our founding fathers got it perfect on there first try and we need to go back to the good old days is a bunch of garbage the world is always in turmoil we've always been on the brink of war or fighting some disease

  • @itscrazycock

    100% right on.

  • Apparently when Glenn Beck has Stossel on he tries extra hard not to say crazy, irresponsible stuff.

  • he does a good kermit the frog impression

  • My view is that the right should not discuss religion. It alienates many people who are fiscally conservative (ie: the majority) and aren't religious (which would be a reasonably sized constituency of voters).

  • I know, I'm an atheist and I have trouble bringing other atheist to the right. Ironically, the far right's economic policies are based on survival of the fittest

  • @porkypine8974 It should be called survival of the wisest. But you can't TEACH wisdom when it come to investment capitol. It takes discipline and sacrifice to become truly wealthy. Certainly possible; I'm only 28, and I'm almost there myself. I agree with you.

  • I agree, money should take precidence over religious views.

  • @fomastephanovitch lol religious people are the majority. Hell I've heard most atheists argue that for years. If you don't believe in God you're the minority in this country.

Also why the hell should atheists give a damn about what people think about a God they don't think exists?

  • @MRKetter81 I'm speaking from a strategic point of view. The Republican party aren't doing very well and I think there'll be a lot of potential not-Obama moderate and libertarian voters out and about. Republican actions will come down to whether those disenchanted voters turn to you or think the status quo is better than what you're prepared to offer them as an alternative. Every vote for your side is good right?

  • Stossel spends a lot of time with Economist--he understands how the market works.

Plus the founding fathers didn't want government to expand anyway... they knew if that happened then the states would turn into a Socialist Nation.

  • Religion? Morals? HA!HA!HA!HA!HA!HA!HA!HA!HA!HA!HA!HA!HA!HA!HA!

  • my friend, I think all of the news stations have an agenda...however, I believe that Fox has a more objective stance with hosts like Glen Beck asking the tough questions, like you said. I think Fox hit it big with him....he really does use a common sense approach. He asks the same questions I ask. Like a parent asking their kids what they did wrong and why. While entertaining, there is still some real value in whats being delivered. Good comment.
