So try out your local track if you want to race. Track owners are just trying to keep you safe and have the same fun that you would on the street so you don't have to worry about cops.
Certain modifications make the mod illegal due to pollution, safety, etc. Sure, it's a load of bullshit, but it is put in place to give out tickets. also @ghost7k, maybe you should think about going to a track. Street racing is fun, ive been to a few meets myself, but tracks are safer, and you dont have to worry about cops power tripping. At a track, the cops can rot in hell. Our local track, that has gone out of business multiple times due to people prefering street racing, costs maybe 20/day.

instead of spending tens of thousands of dollars on a street race bust, why not use that money to open a local public drag strip? all it requires is 1/4 mile of flat, straight paved road & a parking lot. that's how they settled the same problem with skaters & BMX'ers skating & riding in parking lots, destroying benches & handrails. and people still do it, but you see significantly fewer illegal skaters & bikers in areas with public skateparks. dumbass cops just want attention.

As well as, the general public like and can appreciate a muscle car, most find imports annoying. Sure, there are beautiful imports out there, but personally, as you see in this vids, most are ugly and loud, just powerful. Unfortunately for the import crowd, it's not favorable for most Americans. If you want that acceptance, move to Tokyo.

Certain modifications make the mod illegal due to pollution, safety, etc. Sure, it's a load of bullshit, but it is put in place to give out tickets. also @ghost7k, maybe you should think about going to a track. Street racing is fun, ive been to a few meets myself, but tracks are safer, and you dont have to worry about cops power tripping. At a track, the cops can rot in hell. Our local track, that has gone out of business multiple times due to people prefering street racing, costs maybe 20/day.
