i always drift at fujimi circuit with my fully tuned mercedes benz clk55 amg and i use clutch but i only play forza for 2 weeks, 1 tip for evrybody:have no assists on first learn to shift while racing other cars when u've got the control over the gears then u can drift using the clutch,, im still practicing

its pretty easy on manual w/ clutch. I use the clutch kick method where you simply tap the clutch to apply more speed while drifting and prevent spinning out.

counter steer = your turned to the right, then, to balance your car again, you counter steer to the left, and finally the car is going straight again.

There is a problem when I drift.:/ Every time I enter the drift by pressing the A button and, yes it loses control but then I can't seem to stop stalling my drift, which forces me to again, press the A button which makes me not complete the full drift, pls tell me on what buttons I should press and what I have to really try to avoid from the stall, if u could tell me how long I hold the A button for then the throttle and the countersteer

@Aviation2016 There's no dedicated drift mode in Forza 3. Points are recorded in every single race. Press left on the D pad and it will show you your points.

@HoYewWilliam Maybe you're focusing too much on what gear you should be in which is making you lose focus on drifting or something. Or maybe you're just still getting used to Forza. I can't think of any direct reason why having manual would make you spin out more than automatic.

@Daniftikhar It might not be the best car to learn with since it's rather short and top heavy. Also Hondas tend to be a bit tricky because of their Vtec engines. But it's probably still driftable, just not the easiest car. If you want a Honda try an S2000, they're much better suited to drifting.

@andrewjr911 I would try a different car if I were you. Lancias are all very short and mid-engined. They tend to be very snappy in drifting. Try something a bit longer with the engine in the front instead.

@xmodssouth you have to countersteer with the steering controls. be gentle and don't rush it when you get into a corner. you have to get a feeling for it. i'm a drifter too in forza 2 and 3 so i have alot of experiance with the motions and movements of the diffrent cars in the game but every car basicly handles the same. exept if you got a setup on your car with adjusted camber and stuff like that.. just practice and you'll get the hang of it

@uwibern 450-500 is just a general number for mid sized cars. With smaller cars it's obviously different. I would advise to keep below 270hp with an AE86.

@xtRag3dYx BHP = Brake Horse Power. It's basically a measure of how much power the engine has; High horsepower means high engine power.

Limited slip is short for Limited slip differential (LSD for short). The differential controls how much difference there is in the speed the wheels spin at - because when you turn a corner the wheels will move at different rates, more so if you drift. An LSD is used in high performance cars and does exactly what it's name suggests - limits the difference.

I dont know about anyone else, but I find that muscle cars are brilliant for drifting. You have to be a bit harder on the hand brake, but once you get them into a slide, they're suprisingly well balanced.

Try it. A good one is a Dodge Challenger SRT8 '09

@1PSYTEX1 The extra grip makes it harder to break traction to get in to a drift, meaning you have to push harder and have a smaller window of control to drift in. Also most of the community run competitions ban them, so if you plan to enter any of those it will be useless.
