Hmm, this technique works in Forza 4 too right? And why use manual shift? I saw this other video where the guy says that you should shift down at once after applying the e-brake, is this true?
i always drift at fujimi circuit with my fully tuned mercedes benz clk55 amg and i use clutch but i only play forza for 2 weeks, 1 tip for evrybody:have no assists on first learn to shift while racing other cars when u've got the control over the gears then u can drift using the clutch,, im still practicing
I'm new to forza 3 n idk wht car to buy n how to set it up can anyone help me I was thinking about the skyline but there are different skylines can someone give me some tips
@PurpleTwinkie101 Hey i'm sorry but im not the best tuner. but a great cars to drift with are the 1985 Toyota Sprinter Trueno. The Mazda RX-7, The Toyota Supra, Nissan S13, S14, and S15. You can find tune setups on google,
its pretty easy on manual w/ clutch. I use the clutch kick method where you simply tap the clutch to apply more speed while drifting and prevent spinning out.
@copenhagenstright did you wanna learn on forza 3 or forza 4?? im gettin forza 4 soon but i can drift on forza 3 no probs :) hit me up when you wanna get some practice in :) ill be online monday alllll dayyy long SNIPERxFLEXx136
Ok guys add me on xbox - iTzDaCo0KeMnsTr I will kindly teach you how too drift on forza 4 - if my friends are full. Message me... I teached my friends and somehow they became almost better than me! Hit me up.
@zeroFlLMS Bhp = Brake Horsepower, or, the horsepower of the engine before the drivetrain components and any belt driven accessories are added. These components take some of the horsepower to run.
counter steer = your turned to the right, then, to balance your car again, you counter steer to the left, and finally the car is going straight again.
There is a problem when I drift.:/ Every time I enter the drift by pressing the A button and, yes it loses control but then I can't seem to stop stalling my drift, which forces me to again, press the A button which makes me not complete the full drift, pls tell me on what buttons I should press and what I have to really try to avoid from the stall, if u could tell me how long I hold the A button for then the throttle and the countersteer
how do you put the settings or something so when i do a track i get the drifting points cause when i drift nothing happens. What mode do i have to be on?
@Aviation2016 There's no dedicated drift mode in Forza 3. Points are recorded in every single race. Press left on the D pad and it will show you your points.
....man, excellent video , and specific intructions - dab gas and counter steering...
can you drift in formula racing cars?-- i just started the old forza2 game and i prefer the speed and handling of those cars...or can you make any videos in art of cornering in formulas cars...is that applicable without loosing any much speed.
does it just take time and practice, to get used to it? i was a GT5 player, i know it is more realistic but i played it in automatic giving my less things to worry about but Forza i play in manual is bugging me out, i keep spinning out
@HoYewWilliam Maybe you're focusing too much on what gear you should be in which is making you lose focus on drifting or something. Or maybe you're just still getting used to Forza. I can't think of any direct reason why having manual would make you spin out more than automatic.
I'm using a Mugen Civic Type-R 2010 as my first drift car. I've converted it to RWD. Do you think it's a good car for drifting? I'm new to drifting in Forza and I am still learning to tune a drift car. Hope u reply and i would appreciate some tuning tips. :)
@Daniftikhar It might not be the best car to learn with since it's rather short and top heavy. Also Hondas tend to be a bit tricky because of their Vtec engines. But it's probably still driftable, just not the easiest car. If you want a Honda try an S2000, they're much better suited to drifting.
This is particularly tough. I'm in forza 4 with a Lancia, and I've been on the track for half an hour trying to powerslide. It's really tough! Thanks for the video though. :)
@andrewjr911 I would try a different car if I were you. Lancias are all very short and mid-engined. They tend to be very snappy in drifting. Try something a bit longer with the engine in the front instead.
What car were u usin in the video because if u used it it should b good 4 drifting and I don't want to waste money on a car that's not good for drifting
@shadowsamurai2077 It's listed in the car shop as the 2002 Skyline GT-R V-Spec II. You comments don't show up right away because I have it set so that comments only appear if I allow them to.
you say your car is the R34 do you mean the nissan Mine`s R34 skyline GT-R?
and people say the rx7 i have no idea why car that is i need to know the brand like ford? my Nissan Mine`s R34 skyline GT-R looks way different the car in the video i have unlimited money pretty much so tell me a good car please make me a great car ill give you 92,000,000Cr for a great car to the maker of the video
@shadowsamurai2077 It's the normal R34, and the RX-7 is a Mazda. It doesn't matter which RX-7 you pick, they're all good. I list some good drift cars in the video info too.
I cant do it. Every time i go in to the ermengency brake, I slow down to fast and the the car wanted more support from the ermengency brake, how do i avoid that? If u can pls show me how it \actually works?
@dro1579 he says in the video that street tyres and 450-500hp (C-A) cars are the best for it but you don't really need a tune setup if you take it in steps
really japanese cars are good but i use a 1965 alfa romeo and it is freaking awesome but the problem is i have not got the best control of the car but it holds drifts like a dream though :) or otherwise i would go for old american muscle since they are awesome
Hey man give me your gamertag i'll buy the skyline for 10 million . You will send me the skyline and i will send you the ferrari 250 i think (the one that gives you 10 million when you sell it.)
i have 1.4 million, but im not willing to waste all of my money buying 1 car. some suggestions for some sub $400,000 cars. give me tons of suggestions PLEASE!!!!!!!!!!!!
@xmodssouth you have to countersteer with the steering controls. be gentle and don't rush it when you get into a corner. you have to get a feeling for it. i'm a drifter too in forza 2 and 3 so i have alot of experiance with the motions and movements of the diffrent cars in the game but every car basicly handles the same. exept if you got a setup on your car with adjusted camber and stuff like that.. just practice and you'll get the hang of it
@uwibern 450-500 is just a general number for mid sized cars. With smaller cars it's obviously different. I would advise to keep below 270hp with an AE86.
@uwibern the ae86 with stock power plant supercharged can still run down most people in public rooms as well as tandom so it doesnt matter how much power is has it doesnt have its how you drive it and how the parts in the car are balanced then how its actually tuned
@xtRag3dYx BHP = Brake Horse Power. It's basically a measure of how much power the engine has; High horsepower means high engine power.
Limited slip is short for Limited slip differential (LSD for short). The differential controls how much difference there is in the speed the wheels spin at - because when you turn a corner the wheels will move at different rates, more so if you drift. An LSD is used in high performance cars and does exactly what it's name suggests - limits the difference.
I dont know about anyone else, but I find that muscle cars are brilliant for drifting. You have to be a bit harder on the hand brake, but once you get them into a slide, they're suprisingly well balanced.
I really should've looked for a guide before deciding to try and get the hang of it without any kind of guide at all. Simply because it would've been faster. Great beginners guide I hope it's been helpful for a lot of people.
What! IS THAT GAME! What! IS THAT GAME! What! IS THAT GAME! What! IS THAT GAME! What! IS THAT GAME! What! IS THAT GAME! What! IS THAT GAME! What! IS THAT GAME! What! IS THAT GAME!What! IS THAT GAME! What! IS THAT GAME!
@1PSYTEX1 The extra grip makes it harder to break traction to get in to a drift, meaning you have to push harder and have a smaller window of control to drift in. Also most of the community run competitions ban them, so if you plan to enter any of those it will be useless.
@scrustle its only hard for those who cant drift, i have no problem drifting with race tyres and i have NEVER been banned from any multiplayer game with race tyres
@1PSYTEX1 It's not just a question of how hard it is, having a bigger window of control will allow you to do more with the car. You will be able to have more versatility. And I said community run competitions, not online lobbies. That's different.
what is the best kind of muscle car to use for drift? i like the sound and power they put out but i cant figure out a good tune or anything for any of them
m@modernwarfaretuber I've not really thought about that before... Maybe a Ford Mustang, people use those a lot. Generally shorter pony cars are more nimble than the bigger full muscle cars.

I dont know about anyone else, but I find that muscle cars are brilliant for drifting. You have to be a bit harder on the hand brake, but once you get them into a slide, they're suprisingly well balanced.
Try it. A good one is a Dodge Challenger SRT8 '09

I really should've looked for a guide before deciding to try and get the hang of it without any kind of guide at all. Simply because it would've been faster. Great beginners guide I hope it's been helpful for a lot of people.

best drift track in my opinion is nuringburg nordschleiffe (not spelt right) really long and has a mix of good corners to pop power slides on :)

why shouldnt i use race tyres, the better the grip the faster i can drift trough corners
1PSYTEX1 6 months ago
@1PSYTEX1 The extra grip makes it harder to break traction to get in to a drift, meaning you have to push harder and have a smaller window of control to drift in. Also most of the community run competitions ban them, so if you plan to enter any of those it will be useless.
scrustle 6 months ago 2
@scrustle its only hard for those who cant drift, i have no problem drifting with race tyres and i have NEVER been banned from any multiplayer game with race tyres
1PSYTEX1 6 months ago
@1PSYTEX1 It's not just a question of how hard it is, having a bigger window of control will allow you to do more with the car. You will be able to have more versatility. And I said community run competitions, not online lobbies. That's different.
scrustle 6 months ago
@scrustle as long as you know how to drift with a car with high grip, you have as much window of control as you have with a car with less grip.

great guide, and your cars are SOOOOO SEXY!!!!! could you please sell some designs?

what is the best kind of muscle car to use for drift? i like the sound and power they put out but i cant figure out a good tune or anything for any of them
modernwarfaretuber 6 months ago
m@modernwarfaretuber I've not really thought about that before... Maybe a Ford Mustang, people use those a lot. Generally shorter pony cars are more nimble than the bigger full muscle cars.
scrustle 6 months ago
@scrustle
which mustang? u said short so the one im thinking of is the fox body mustang.
modernwarfaretuber 6 months ago
@modernwarfaretuber Any of the Mustangs. Every one I've tried has been good. Also I've found the 2010 Camaro is pretty good as well.
