I use the juggernaut hammer or darkness lance and everytime I fight diablos or mono by themselves it takes me about 30 minutes if not 40. I don't know if its just me or if thats just how fighting the monsters usually goes. Please reply if you guys know.

@Impy939 Ok what you do for the quest 4 horns is get Blango decimator (672 Raw Power, 250 Ice) and what you do is cut the tail off them and attack thier legs or thier stub where to tail used to be.

The stub is a weak spot to ice attribute. And dont worry youll be running out of time when you finish it i killed the last diablos in the 2 mmin mark.

Nice work, usually I'd use a lance and coax it into charging, then attack it's stomach/tail after it rears up. True, they are predictable but they seem to burrow a lot more or charge back and forth constantly in rage which is annoying. The only problem I have is when it burrows in rage mode and instantly pops back out while I'm pushed back--I hate that. -_-

to me,monoblos n diablos r quite different in a way.I enjoy doing a mono quest but a diablos quest is juz like a bitch.Not only is he uber strong in rage mode but after a while,diablos wud get in rage after a hit,making him harder to kill thn monoblos,which is a cakewalk

i like to use a Bow :D i kill lots of bosses with mah bow

heres my strategy

Things needed: A good bow, Power Coatings, Sleep Coatings, 2 Large barrel bombs and 1 small barrel bomb

Strategy:

Put on ur sleep coating and keep shooting boss until it falls asleep then put 2 large bombs and switch to power coating then put the small barrel bomb next to the 2 large ones after that keep shooting until he dies lol :D

/MonoDiablos' burrowing habits that I noticed.

Village elder

Basically he will pop out of the ground from the point at where you were last standing when he fully goes underground. So when he burrows just stand still for a sec then run to the side or w/e and position yourself for a free hit when he pops out again. Low rank blos burrow move is way too slow to be worried about anyway but at least if you learn his burrow habits you can score some free hits. Should be the same during rage too ftmp.

Also the same as low rank/V.Elder but this time the difference is that he can track you till the very last moment, just before the tip of his tail(uncut) goes underground. Very risky move cause of the speed of his burrow so I dont recommend doing anything other than getting the hell out of there as fast as possible. If you're confident you can try to score free hits like you would with the low rank one since its basically the same move except way faster.

For monoblos you will see the red spots on his head crest. for both Mono/diablos they both move faster and also they spew black smoke from there mouth it is easily seen so no worries.

They're the same really; one with high raw and if you want to knock them out often, get one with a small amount of affinity, say around 10%.

ALright, I'm in full Kut ku armor and using Bone Katana dragon (I"m probably going to switch to ravager+ when I get the materials but im not sure), and on the 4* elder lady quests

I'm reading a guide that says I should Farm the monoblos , get it's armor then own the Kushala Daora.

Unfortunatly, I haven't even attempted either of these monsters because I need some help on what armor/weapons I should make to help me on both or maybe one of thses mosnters. =S

Well, I'm not sure if this will suit you, however, I used full blango, high defense and negates freezing, I used the velocidrome bite and relentlesly attacked. Poisoning in the beginning will help you win. However the poison is not needed. Attack after Kushala uses any wind attack *The air shield temporarily goes away* and keep using the combo. I found myself able to finish off combos and get away even while the wind shield was up. Bring plenty of potions and whetstones though. Hope it helps.

I farm the monoblos with the Eager clever(longsword, it takes quite a bit of metal and minerals to get) and full khezu, but mines upgraded so idk. The Kushala daora i'm having a little bit of trouble with that set so dont use it.
