  • mine feels weird :/

  • Thanks for making this video. I'm a female with left-sided poland syndrome in combination with syncactyly...i've never seen anyone in my life who has the same...so even it if is just on YouTube...thanks so much =) And yes...just like you i am living the life i wanna live. Thanks buddy.

  • Thanks for sharing! It's good to see what the hand of my little son could look like in the future! It seems that there are just very few ressources about it on the net...

  • I have it to ! my arm is normal but it affects me more because im a girl

  • Nice Video. Finally found a name for what my niece has. She is now 19 years old and this really affected her when she turned 16. Her breast on one side and she has a webbed small hand also. Her bro/nephew also has this, not hand. She is ashamed and in the last 3 years, we can see that it is depressing her to the point of drinking and cutting. My question - will medical assistance help pay for re constructive surgery? I'd be willing to pay the difference in cost but can't afford $5,000+.

  • Thanks Jyeffy for having the courage to put yourself out there like that for others..My nephew Dominic has Poland Syndrome and he is Awesome just like you !

  • I'm female with my left pec (and therfore breast) missing. I can honestly say physically it hasn't affect me much, I speant 10 yrs riding racehorses lol. Emotionally as a girl and then woman it did upset me from time to time. I would avoid situations where I might be seen without a top on and I always left my top on when I had sex. It wasn't until I met my amazing husband that I felt brave enough to take my top off. Thanks for the video, so many ppl (and Drs) don't know what this is!

  • I'm missing my right pec... I date good looking women.... I ride a motorcycle everyday. People see me as a very strong dominant man. I'm not being cocky, I'm just trying to let people like me know that the only thing this shit stops me from doing is winning benchpressing contest. Make your mind strong and nothing will get in your way!

  • Really admire you for posting the story! I'm a 21 year old female, born with a mild case of Poland's, missing my whole left pectoral muscle. As a girl I must say it was emotionally tough dealing with it growing up. After turning 18 I was allowed to have re constructive surgery and that made it a whole lot better than it was before... Breasts will never be completely symmetrical, but it was a big improvement. Had an A cup on one side and B cup on the other.. After implants i am now a C on both

  • @Girly1988Girl I am the same as you, I am a 21 year old female and i have had 3 reconstruction surgeries. Growing up as a female with one breast was difficult, every time I thought I had gotten over it something would come up to upset me, such as a pool party. I'm so glad these video's are posted because of how rare it is especially in females.

  • i have PS too and i thought that i can get my pecs back to normal by keep doing chest workout all the tyms for about 2 years...and then it doesnt work at all...now i finally realized the only way to make ur pecs look normal is by plastic surgery,,,

  • @hiewierock i forgot...i dun have all the minor pectorals on my left chest...

  • i have ps im 32 years old i to am missing both pec on my left my hand are is smaler than the other

  • Why do they call it Poland syndrome???

  • @rvz77 Named after Sir Alfred Poland who discovered it

  • @rvz77 The Scientist who discovered it's last name was Poland, and its a syndrome, and bomb, you get Poland Syndrome

  • @rvz77 "Poland" does not refer to the nation but to Alfred Poland. Born in 1822 in London, he became demonstrator in anatomy in 1839 at Guy's Hospital. There he dissected the body of a deceased convict named George Elt whom he reported had "Deficiency of the pectoral muscles"

  • @rvz77 the first man to ever have it, his last name was Poland :)

  • @rvz77 the guy who found out that this was actually a deformity his last name was poland

  • I just wanted to respond to you to tell you that I was born with poland's syndrome as well. I'm a girl, and it affected me in a different way than yours. It made my chest not grow on my right side and I needed to receive reconstructive surgery to place an implant in. It's a good thing to explain to people what poland's syndrome is because most people don't know about it.

  • no offence, who cares, people live and die of the most awful things, whats a small hand.

  • @ddbd I think your comment is a bit uncalled for. I'm a female with Poland Syndrome and coping with it has been a pretty intense emotional roller coaster. Not to mention the pain from having it and the treatments. I think you would have to have PS to really understand but you should never say "who cares" to something that is very serious for people.

  • woot woot! i have it as well. left side. *small hand high five* lol.

  • So is mine, i have ps also. I'm a woman. thanks for coming out

  • Hi i also have PS but you need to add more facts in that video..1) mainly happens in males..2)more likely on right side..3)no two cases are ever alike..My musles are weeker but i have them and its my right side and mi fingers are close to that but i have a full pointer with no top joint and i have all my nails....as small as they are there still there....KEEP UP THE SPIRTS

  • I also have PS (I always hear it called Poland's Anomaly but it varies with location) I was extreamly lucky and only my left major and minor peck is missing. My hands and feet are perfectly normal. Keep up the good sprits.

  • Thank you for this video I have Poland Syndrome too and love the fact that you feel so great about yourself! You are inspirering

  • Hi Im an 18 yr old male and have PS effecting my left side. Im missing the ledt pec muscle, have an overdevloped breast bone, underdeveloped nipple, rib deformities and a tendon from my nipple to my arm. Thankfully no hand deformities. I am having corrective surgery in a week! They are taking muscle from my left latt n making it a pec with a small implant. the are also taking bone and cartilage to flatten the breast bone. Im excited to say the least. thanks for the vid, very incouraging!

  • wow im a boy that has it im so glad im not a girl

  • @the3js It didn't cost me anything cause I was born with it and live in Scotland the NHS paid for it

  • Ive got the same thing but cause of me being a girl it was completely different if effected the whole left side of my chesr and when i was born i was missing 3 ribs 2 on the left one on the right and no growth muscle on the left side obviously but last september a month after I turned 18 i got a letter from my dr saying i could finally have my operation and I had an implant put in now im the only one who can tell the difference with my top on and im so much happier (:

  • how much did the operation cost you?

  • @slimloco3 Nothing cause I was born with it and I live in Scotland the NHS paid for it (:

  • @shadowwolf03789

I wonder if I could get a deal like that, was it painful?

  • hey im a 29 yr old female with polands. i was wondering if you know if you were born with a short umbilicord.

  • It's very strange to come across other people with polands. For most of my life I thought I was the only one. Jyeffy, it might be worth having the webbing dealt with surgically.

  • I have PS also. Although it only visibly affects my chest: missing my entire pec on the right side. Thanks for the vid. It's good to see that I'm not completely alone.

  • does anyone have trouble playing sports?? like does the lung on the side missing the muscle tighten up?? i always struggle for like 20mins, the muscles on the ribs tighten up, i just struggle for a while then it becomes normal. does anyone have that problem?

  • I too have PS on my right side. Thanks for posting, the condition certainly hasn't hindered my life at all, I just can't do pushups or bench press as well as others with both pecs...obviously. :)

  • I have this too but I didn't know I had a smaller hand but I'm missing my right pectoral but my right arm is as or even stronger than my left arm... when I was a kid back in Mexico other kids use to call me names because of my deformity but I never cared about it we have to be happy with who we are...

  • i have the same

  • thanks for sharing.

  • Although I have poland syndrome, I also consider myself lucky. I try to stay active and healthy, so I have taken up semi-contact kickboxing. I have it on my left side. I also have a small part of my bicep missing, the part closest to my fore-arm. So obviously I'm having trouble doing bicep curls with my left arm. Also, because of the missing pec, I cant keep up with my friends doing pushups and bench-presses. I would love to post a video, but i'm not as brave :-P

  • thats the exact same as me on the bicep part. but im 16 and ive been working out for 2 years and i can bench 225. mines on my right side though. when you bench just push as hard as you can with your left, but use your right arm as a spotter basically. just push hard enough with your right so that itll be even with your left.

  • yeah that is so hard to do, and pushups are hard too.

  • one of my boods is way bigger then the other and i hate it i would have had gread boobies one is a Acup an the other is a B

my chest aches cuz my ribs cant take on to much weight my muscle is missing on my right side of my side arm my hair grows far down my are not underneath it

  • my son has PS it affects his chest, shoulder, arm and hand. Its great to hear from other people with PS

  • hey...

it takes courage to do that as well....

right im a girl and i have poland syndrome...

i have missing muscle from my right side so my right hand is affected....im in the same boat as u. my hand is similar to urs but when i was 1 i had an operation and had the webbing removed and so i have scars on my hand where they had replaced the missing tissue with skin from my stomach....my right side is smaller than my left..such as my arm, pec, and abdominals...

  • Enjoyed watching your video. My son has Poland Syndrome. He's only a toddler so I appreciate seeing what your hand looks like to see the potential of his hand in the future. Did you have any hand surgeries?

  • i haven't had any yet but i can have one to remove the webbing the only thing that does is makes your fingers look bigger

  • i have this too.

  • Thanks for posting this. Does your right arm feel weaker so when you make certain lateral movements compared to your left hand?

  • no not at all the only downside is i cant make a full circle by moving my arm and my right shoulder-blade dislocates at random :(

  • hey, thanks for the info and for raising awareness!

  • I have poland syndrome too, this great I found more people with it

  • thank you for this video, so far you have succsesfully explained more than what the doctors have...

  • I have poland syndrome and it afects me when I move a little to much with my left more then the right, so that makes my left arm really painful. I guess it tries to overdo what's missing. I don't have the left main muscle on my left chest. My uncle also has poland syndrome on the left side but his fingers are webbed. They say it's very rare to have two family members with poland syndrome,we're preaty rare(giggles)I'm 25, married and we have a healthy 2 year old girl. Thanks for sharing your story

  • i have poland syndrom to, and your the man for making this, MUCH LOVE

  • Hey man, thanks so much for making this video, I probably would have never. My left muscle is missing completely.. Its a shame cause I really like building muscle.. When I go swimming and to the gym I kinda cover my left muscle, when I'm out of the pool or getting changed in the changing room.. But its weird, some people notice it, some others don't, I took a risk and had slept with a girl, she didn't notice a thing! I actually told her after, cause I was shocked she didn't see the difference.

  • Im missing my right pec major and minor. I lift. What do you you mean when you say missing small part of your lat and tricep? You were born without or it is not as developed? The right side of my body is built up a little different from my left, but its not noticeable.

  • i think that since the pec isnt developed because of a missing vein that my other parts on my right side dont gain muscle as fast because they arent getting as much blood as my left. but thats just what i think. i might be missing them

  • i completly don't have any muscle there it's just gone

and mine is very noticeable without a shirt

  • cause my right side chest is bigger than my left..

  • my right side is smaller than the left

  • what kind is that? is your right side chest bigger than your left??

  • i have poland syndrom on my left chest...do u hav it too??

  • yes i have it on my right side ill make another video to show it if i get the time

  • I have Poland's and Moebius Syndrome.

My right side hurts, I dont have the peck major or minor.

    Thanks for sharing

  • Yeah I have Poland syndrome as well, but my hands are both normal, I guess I got lucky to
