  • Top 'oil!!

  • I am sure I can hear Lawrence's voice on this one. If anyone is interested, listen specifically to the words in capitals "It's the same OLD SONG with a different meaning since you been GONE" starting at about 1:17. Can anybody hear it?

It's really prominent - see also 2:14 and 2:22 ...and so on.

  • wow incredible music.

  • Hi....what intro..on the drums..I think its Benny Benjamin..could be Uriel Jones copying the trade mark...Tamla Drum Roll....creat by the late great Benny Benjamin..superb!!!

  • At 1:17 and later That is Lawrence Payton singing. I love his voice

  • @soulmusicluver

    Ahhh good.....a fellow string lover!

If you like strings, check out the instrumental for It Takes Two from Marvin and Kim...it's one of my favourites along with this one

  • When you strip the song down to the instrumentation, you can hear the brilliant sound that The Funk Brothers were producing. I ditto the comments by the other You Tubers. The best!!!
