It's hard to tell, but it looks like a Detroit Diesel 12V92. It appears as though the engine started sucking up its own oil, spun up WAY too fast, lost lubrication and sent some rods through the bottom.

I can't speak for the failed engine in this video but looking at most US V engines in the older days the cam was oiled first via oil gallery passages from which crank main bearings took oil secondarily. Don't see where the tappets themselves fed the mains though. An exception would be the Ford side oiler V8 that supposedly fed the crank first... I don't know how current engine designs are set-up. Cheers.

To everyone who says that this is a Ford engine, you are ignorant. I have never seen a Ford motor or any automotive engine fail in this manner. If I was to guess, this engine is manufactured by a company called MTU, which is a German motor. More specifically called an 8v2000. They are extremely powerful, but too large to be put into a vehicle.
