hey cats.... trying to trace a john holt version of dont worry your foreign mind /local body on the stalag riddim.... barry g london late 84 i think also a foot tappin version of john jones artist unknown.
..not to be a stickler bredren, but aint no Collins brothers as far as I know.. there's Dave & Ansel Collins - but that's Dave Barker & Ansel Collins...
@yourmanwatson after reading your comment the other day i noticed that it said "dave & ansel collins" on a record cover. its the cover of Double Barrel. im not sayin the names were the same though. maybe a misprint..
@DizzMcFunk It's not a misprint. Dave Barker and Ansell Collins played together as Dave & Ansell Collins - hence the confusion. I thought they were brothers for ages too.. It wasn't til I saw Dave Barker play in London in the 90s that I realized they weren't. Now I've dug through more recordings and seen Dave Barker credited elsewhere and it's very obviously the same artist.. and I've even seen him credited as just "Dave" too.. There's an article about Dave Barker in Wikipedia - just Google it..
@SelectaGroovy This is not the rhythm mix, it is the original 1972 organ solo version by Ansel Collins named "Stalag 17". Someone edited it and added Big Youth's 1972 DJ version "All Nation Bow" and others.
RIP Winston Riley
