Prophet Muhammad Marriage to Aisha is a sick disgusting pedofile, rapist, stupid religion, its the secular world that have you primitive beast kicking and screaming to realize.
Mohammed's adopted son Zayed was married to Zainab. But one day the prophet "beheld in a loose undress, the beauty of Zainab, and burst forth into an ejaculation of devotion and desire. The servile, or greatful, freeman (Zayed) understood the hint and yielded without hesitation to the love of the benefactor."
His son being a devoted follower of the "great" prophet was more than happy to divorce his wife. What a great father-in-law Mohammed was, a model for all Islamic father-in-laws
Don't listen to the lies propagated to you by Islamophobic bigots!
Hazrat Aisha (RA) was 18-23 when she was married!

Who is the prophet Muhammad (PBUH) really?
The Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) is the most HONEST, RIGHTEOUS, PIOUS, KIND, SINCERE, HANDSOME, HUMBLE, JUST, SMART, MERCIFUL, AND HONOURABLE PERSON AND CREATION OF ALLAH.
The Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) is the greatest of Allah's creation.
I also am hesitant to accept the assertion that Muslim women are more respected than other women somehow. I mean, anybody, regardless of religion, could wear a veil and cover themselves quite thoroughly. So far as I'm aware, all non-Muslims have this option available to them. And yet I don't know if any of them choose it. Surely if they really wanted to, societal expectations wouldn't weigh more heavily on them somehow than on Muslim women.
Also, (and I'm not quoting directly), you say something to the effect that the opinions of others today have no value when they contradict the Quran, and that any opposition should only strengthen your resolve. Isn't that a dangerous way to approach things? It seems like it simply denies any possibility that you may be wrong. In my estimation, at least, it is important to consider the possibility that you are wrong no matter how certain you are. It's not hard to find examples of why this...
...is a good idea. Otherwise, we would still firmly believe that the Earth was the center of the universe, that black people are inferior to whites and that slavery is acceptable, and a multitude of other things that we (at least most of us) now reject.
There are other things I could probably touch on, but I'm not going to watch the video again right now just so I can nitpick through it. Your general point about focusing on the important teachings is one I agree with. On the other hand...
...if things like Aisha's marriage are of no importance, Muslims would not feel obligated to defend them. If you yourself truly thought that the marriage was insignificant, wouldn't you perhaps say "yes, I disagree with it, but I distance myself from it and consider it of little importance" rather than trying to justify it? (Just something to consider for yourself, if the answer is "no", I don't have any problem with that.)
Most importantly, please do not misread my comments. I'm not...
...sure if you remember me, but I'm certainly not trying in any way to attack your faith or dissuade you from it or anything like that. I just want to make sure you've given things adequate consideration. After all, some people argue that it's arrogant to put your own morality before that of God, but I think it's arrogant to believe that you can tell with certainty what God is saying through any holy book, and surely it's offensive to God not to use to the fullest the mind he has given you.
(Also, apologies for writing you an essay here. Ironically, of course, I need to make it even longer in order to apologize. If you want to reply via PM so as not to further clutter things up, I would be fine with that.)
there are of no importance to Islam or me, BUT people keep messaging me and all they talk about is Aisha, so i wanted to let them know- its time to move on. I in no way object the Prophet's marriage and i dont think there was anything wrong with it
you fool just look at Margarete, the doughter of Kaiser Maximilians I., was married as a 3 year old with the french Dauphin ! in this time a lot of people were married with younger women and you should know this before you think you know something ... you know nothing you just believe these foolish idiots from the media and you dont even check out what was going on at this time! margarete the doughter of maximilian was also austrian and even susanne winter doesnt know that ...
That's right, insult me and make assumptions. I must be brainwashed by the media if I dare to question things, right?
Your comparison is bad. Margaret was bethrothed at age 3, not married- in fact, she never married the Dauphin. Even had you been right, there is a difference between being nominally linked for political alliance, and marrying a small child without any such forces involved. Furthermore, Muhammad is still supposed to be the perfect man; nobody imitates Margaret of Austria.
yes you believe in the media ... or what are you believing ? you should know that in this time people were married with younger girls that is a FACT ! so dont tell lies about mohammed
What lies have I told? What statement have I made that is factually inaccurate? Believe it or not, I'm not here to try to offend you or insult your religion. I'm looking for answers.
That people married quite a bit younger than today is not in question. The issue is, Muhammad is supposed to be the perfect man and a timeless model for behavior, correct? This would seem to indicate that it is therefore acceptable to still marry small children, since he was not just a model for his own time.
we should follow the kuran and not what mohammed did! i dont have to go out now and fight against some people mohammed is the prophet of allah and allah gave us the kuran where the truth is! and we should follow the kuran ....
Okay, so I think what you're saying is that I'm mistaken in my understanding, and that the Quran is the source of truth and correctness, as opposed to Muhammad himself or his actions. That resolves the question, which is all I was looking for.
If this conclusion is incorrect, you can actually just explain why and that would satisfy me. I have no reason to believe that there is not some tidy explanation, but I haven't seen it. This is just how learning works, one person asks questions and someone answers them.
yes, but you see, i am in process of still reading the Quran, and i assure you when i see something i dont agree with, i go to scholars and research it up. i dont accept it blindly. Even God tells us to question things, but questioning is different from denying :)

And in this story dear children, mohammed is impersonating the wolf from Little Red Riding Hood.....(now read on)....

"Oh my, mohammed, what big balls you have!"

Allah knows everything yet he teaches nothing. Seems your god is impotent and cruel.
