That brings back memories. I learned to fly in a 1946, 65 hp Piper J3, N3590K and first soloed in September, 1956.

You have not "flown" unless you have flown a tail dragger, rag wing. Nothing else even comes close to this experience.

its the pole that holds the wings in position ;o) and because the camera is placed that vlose to it it looks bigger than it actually is. :D ;o)

oooh never mind. the thing i was seeing was the wing strut. (where the camera is mounted, i thought i saw a wing.)
