  • Deus Vult!

  • Why does every historic game or anything that has to do with history become a war between people and history facts? What has this world become...

  • @Relseg

Because war is the answer to everything, lol.

  • @HolyVegeta /nod, Agreed.

  • Comment removed

  • You do realize that saladin never actually beat richard in an engament right? Granted the crusaders never retook jerusalem but the reason why is saladin signed a treaty before it could happen. Also credit the infighting between philp and richard for dividing the crusader forces alot of the time.

  • Christians were defeated! What was so fascinating about the lion heart? He could not succeed in taking back the Jerusalem.

  • lol i remember playing this game in 2006 back then it was called medieval total war 2

    oh wait...

  • Total War called, they want their game back.

  • ...Or is what I was expecting it to be: A cheap spinoff

  • Is this by the Total War series by any chance? :/

  • Shogun 2: total war... :D thats all i am saying ^^

  • won this game in a compeition only played it once, as others have said Meveival II total war is a better bet

  • $10 on steam today..

  • bad game buy medivel total war crusaders expansion pack

  • @tapir909 just play the mod Stainless Steel 6.4 (of medieval 2), it is AWESOME

  • Looks just like MTW2 but focused on the middle est

  • it reminds me of templars

  • @kennedy072 Umm they are templars dipshit

  • @joshdavis071 is that how you say my friend in your country dip shit

  • @kennedy072 Mm and whats that suppose to mean?

  • lol at the start christians marching for an attack next picture shows muslims going back to the town ( the crusaders got owned xD )

  • Goat Horns?

  • difference between this game and medieval 2 total war?

  • @KuhoinX my thoughts exactly

  • @KuhoinX Medieval 2 is much better. I WANTED to love this game. (I study history and my focus is on the middle east during the middle ages. Saladin is one of my personal heroes and is a focus of the game.) However, despite my WANT to LOVE this game I only someone liked it. It's very buggy and the controls are very awkward feeling. In addition there is no free campaign where you conquer as you will, but instead a mostly linear campaign structure with simulated "freedom" to conquer.

  • OR

Just play Total War series with UNLIMITED AMOUNT of MODS for ANY SPECIFIC

    WAR PERIODS.

  • Loled at those horns. Bad trailer though

  • Thats a bad trailer.. seen better!

Total war Medival 2 which is pretty old looks better -.-

  • lol looks like a cheap total war game

  • You can see soldiers walking through walls at 1:25 in a Trailer??? wtf???

  • @quaeen xD

  • great game but too bad muslims that time were the best it was our golden ages.!

  • @mazikka1 muslims just won because they had 10 times more soldiers

read Battle of Montgisard and you can see how superior the christians were against the muslims...the muslims are cowards with their bows and horses

  • @divad321 muslims go to war to die not to have glory (soldiers) yeah 1 christian can kill 10 muslims because he got 10x more protection and muslims dont care they just wanna until death in a war unlike christian thats why we win and u never get our lands ever..!

  • This game has not been developed for historical accuracy. There are fantasy elements like skill enhancing items to be found etc, It is also a lot deeper than the Total War battles and harder too, as it has not been dumbed down for consoles. So if you are a reasonably long-time PC strategy gamer, this is for you! I know I love it!

  • Is this like Total War series? Both games look identical :D

  • You can better play the total war serie if you like strategy

  • is this like stronghold crusaders 3 ?

  • The paradox games are very good!!!

  • that are waiting to get a game like this with the playability of the mount and blade?

this game looks like rome total war ..

the best medieval games are those like oblivion gameplay, mount and blade, mount and blade especially.

  • @Derfius Very true.

  • Why is it that any video with any Muslims at all in it has to be followed by a religious debate?

    TALK ABOUT THE GAME.

  • If it is made by Paradox, than it should be good.

  • "paradox interactive".. nothing else to say..

they've done some of the best games i've ever seen with low budget to spent.. i guess this will be the same.

  • the teutonics where crusaders aswel because they came from the holy roman empire thats why they fight in this :)

  • I'm very sensitive to lack of historic accuracy but anyway I'll try this game, as well as

Great Battles: Medieval. But to be honest as big fan of Medieval II, without mods isn't perfect at all, poor heraldry with white fleur-de-lis in French faction, Renaissance units in year 1200 I mean I had Academy building and pikemens. But we've got plenty good mods so I'm happy with this :). Cheers.

  • crusades doesn't deserve the resbect even from the christians !!

  • @gQuaresma07 U deserve my shit in your mouth.cheerz

  • @Citzen92 cheerz

  • @Citzen92 LMAO XD

  • WAIT,HOLD ON!!!where is da' BIG BOOM?rofl,no1 invented bombs in that time..

  • @Citzen92 yes they did...

  • Basing my oppinion from king arthur a roleplaying wargame made by the same ppl same gameplay this game will be very cool and v.v.v.v hard in comparison with total war 2 i love them both and cannot choose a better one in tw you have more battle options but in KA you have strategic points to take and hold and other more in depth options outside of combat such as getting married and keeping your lords married and happy etc.

so the only thing i can really say is if you like TW try it

  • I hated those flags in Total War series too...

  • Comment removed

  • I doubt it can beat the Total war series (in this case Medieval 2 total war) ..or especially the upcoming shogun 2 ...but HEY IF it does gj for them :D

  • Medieval 2: Total War is waaaaay better!

  • @ITherealMarcomanI silly fan boy, you cant make a comparison on a game unless its been released. unsuccessful troll is unsuccessful

  • Is this game out already?

  • King Arthur The Role Playing Wargame was hugely under-rated. The expansion pack, which frees up the gameplay even more, so that you're trying to dominate the map, wasn't just under-rated, it was completely missed by the gaming media.

A total shame is what it was.

I'll be buying this one for sure. No question about it.

  • LOL ! 1:30 clipping fail.

  • cool m2tw ripoff!

  • campaign looks too small ... like cyprus then acre, jerusalem and done ?

  • I hate that it's about a certain king and not about all the Crusades. There were about nine major crusades so I really don't give a damn about Dick, sry... I meant Richard.

  • our best French king of England

  • Not good to play as muslims you are the hole cause why we went to the holy land you forfid the christans to pray at jesus grave. your profet is a murder and a paedophile man. He had a 6 years old wife. this is what he acomplice

    570 - Born in Mecca

576 - Orphaned upon death of mother

595 - Marries Kadijah - older, wealthy widow

610 - Reports first revelations from angel at age of 40

    619 - Protector uncle dies

622 - Emigrates from Mecca to Medina (the Hijra)

  • @xlort19 I dont know now is the time to say that muslims are pedophilesgo away , people like you scare me , the cause for crusades and jihads is on thing and one thing only, wealth and power, god has been the tool for all of this since the beginning of time, factually proven and admitted by a lot of kings, why? because we are humans , now shut the fuck and go go back to the cave that spawned you

  • @larsieman1988 calling muslims pedophiles ? please turn on the tv or read the papers, you just made an ass of yourself

  • @larsieman1988 i do not come from a cave i stand for diplomatic rights and hold freedom of speech dear to me, the first crusade was in 637 and was done by the muslims, to take jerusalem and in 639 they took eqybt. There profet was a paedophile he sleept with a 9 year old girl, and to do that in islamic world today you will get shoot for that. You cant kill(bible) so was the crusaders armyies of god or jesus, was they real christians, not if you fellow jesus guidelines.

  • @medie405 The first crusade was done by the Romans.

I hope you realize that First Arab conquests (632-645) were little motivated by religion than they were motivated to free Semitic lands from non-Semitic control.

The point is, this land belongs to Middle Eastern people, not Europeans. No matter which religion they belong to. The End.

  • @thegreatshah90 It was 6 yers after muhammeds death. And muhammed killed jews and pacans on his pilgimage. So i think its about religion. Islam is a ideology of violence. Muhammed showed that when he listend to satan. And done what he commaned. It belonged to the jews and it still do. So you right about the European part.

  • uhh actually, teutonic knights actually did have horned helmets back then ( not just horned, some were made to look like ferocious beasts). It all focuses on the idea of breaking yer enemies morale, and because they thought dressing like demons would scare unholy enemies.

Btw, thats why they have gargoyles guarding Cathedrals.. because their visage scares the demons of hell :)

  • Richard spent 6 months of his life in England, he didn't spoke english but a French dialect. he is born and died in france. he married a French woman. His parents were French. he is burried in france. Richard is French.

  • He married a Spanish woman but the rest is allright gipcambero

  • @gipcambero He was born in Oxford.

  • why the crusades again?! There are already so many titles with this. There are plenty of other conflicts out here to explore. And the armors on the units are not realistic or accurate for the period so is this more of fantasy setting?

  • cool

  • Well that's good to hear you can also play as the muslim ^_^

  • Why do the crusaders have horns? Thats pretty a-historical.

On the other hand this game sounds awesome!

  • the Teutonic knights has horns on their helmets but i think this time it might just be creative and fit the theme

  • @DEFENITE Teutonic Knigths existed in this time is their time aswell

  • @DEFENITE erm, don't you mean wings?

  • Comment removed

  • @DEFENITE Not all Teutonic Knights had the same armors, helmets and weapons. (sorry for the mistake in the other post)

  • gotta agree with Gian, they should ditch the horns and make some more realistic Units then i might consider buying it

  • @gianlucanders

I hope that Stronghold 3 will be as beautiful as this game

  • @gianlucanders Hmm Not quite helmets like that existed check Teutonic Knigths for example

  • @gianlucanders Dude..... go to history museums of the medival age and go to the armor exhibition and you will see that thoes arent horn thoes are Wings..... seriusly man

  • @gianlucanders Well Teutonic Knigths had Horns maybe they are German Knigths

  • @gianlucanders teutonics did.they were in the crusades in middle east too.

  • @SuperThecrap Ofcourse they where. Teutonic, Knights Templar and Hospitaller where the main Christian Orders of those times (Knights Templar even created special for the protection of Pilgrims) If one of them did not answered the call of the Crusades in what position would they stand? Very low and maybe even disbanished as a Christian order what would make them pay allot of taxes.

  • @TheFreshEC I know.they are created for that reason but the templars got over the line.the funny thing is in the game I saw some templars with horns. I swear it was named "templars"

  • @SuperThecrap They where a bit reckless indeed, attacking with out orders, even robbing unarmed Muslim convoys (with influence of wrong commanders), but i bet that with out the Templars 9 out of 10 Pilgrims would not make Jerusalem alive.

  • @SuperThecrap Could be, there are no documents that the Templars did not wore horns on there helmets. (even though i dont believe it either, i dont close it out).

  • @TheFreshEC maybe or maybe not.it looks cool.but they are heavy.most kinghts without horses are nothing.anyway I dislike templars for their acts when gained power and the barbaric acts against my ancestors.teutonics are barbaric too but I still prefer the religion years ago then now because I dont think there were this many atheists back then.still people were indeed religious or they looked like so(such as templars and pope) I heard the hospitaliers were nicer tho.I dont know much about them

  • @SuperThecrap Knights with out a horse are perfect heavy infantry and can be very powerful in the right hands. The Templars lived of donations by Christian nations, also new members had to give all there wealth and belongs to the Order, so they became pretty easy wealthy because allot of people became member. The Knights Hospitallers where a couple of man attached to a Hospital in Jerusalem that explains there name. They became very quickly powerfull to because they took care of the poor.

  • @TheFreshEC @TheFreshEC yeah I know that donation thing.they called themselves "poor knights of christ" didnt they? and yes knight without horses are pretty good too but they would be really slow against the infantry in middle east who doesnt wear that much armor to be faster.if they fell from the horse light infantry may try to help them until they get up.it is strange too see people with huge armor being still able to fight tho such as teutonics.still with good strategy anyone can be defeated

  • @SuperThecrap Yea the Templars called them self in the begin: The Poor Fellow Knights of Christ and of the Temple of Solomon. there logo was also 2 knights on 1 horse. (sorry for this late reaction did not see it)

  • @TheFreshEC I heard that two knights in a horse thing stands for brotherhood but in fact it was homosexuality which many templars did at a very later date.that is true right?according to what they were burned for(witchcraft and the thing mentioned above) I doubt that it is not.still why would they want to become evil if they follow the way of God?

  • @SuperThecrap They where indeed arrested with these charges and the Templars only confessed because they where tortured by the king of France Philip IV. I dont believe they did such things. He also let them confess they spat on the crossand stuff like that so that he could pressure the Church in the hope they would arrest them all.

In the end most Templars where burned or fled and joined other orders. some believe they even took there treasures and fled to some country to live in secretly.

  • @SuperThecrap they where arrested for those charges indeed, but i dont believe they did it. The king of France Philip IV tortured members to let them confess they did it and they where burned. Philip even maked them confess that they spatted on the cross so he could show that to the Church in the hope they would take action and arrest them all. In the end the Templars got burned or fled and joined other Orders. some believe they even tooked the Templar treasure and fled to unknow locations.

  • @TheFreshEC I do.seeing what they did to my fellows in the past I dont think I can forgive them easily.I know its war but they were like barbarians in the roman age.oh and its kind of complicated for me to understand what the king of jerusalem was(it was baldwin I guess who had a deadly sickness) I heard some people call him chivalrous but I also heard that Muslims call him bad one somewhere.I also saw a word of Nur'ad Din which said that he was "a prince a world does not posess today"what is he

  • @SuperThecrap King Baldwin IV was just one king in the 200 years the Kingdom of Jerusalem existed and i cannot recall that he was called the bad one. And i dont think he is a bad one, he was a good military leader defeating Saladin hard at the Battle of Montgisard with help of the Templars. They killed 23.000 man and losed 1.100. But there was one bad king named Guy of Lusignan maybe you have heared of him anyways because of him they lost the battle of Hattin and Jerusalem.

  • @TheFreshEC not about tactics I meant about his personality towards people.I also heard in the third one crusaders never lost a battle but couldnt capture Jerusalem.its a good strategy making people go tired without any supplies in a place they have never saw so they had to leave.you have anything like steam? talking about stuff like this on youtube isnt easy

  • @SuperThecrap I dont realy know how his personality was, i guess he needed to be hard because he was weakend by his illness. And yea They never losed a battle but it ended in signing a treath with Saladin, Jerusalem stayed under Muslim control but unarmed Christian Pilgrims could enter the Holy land.

I got msn messenger and Steam so you can choose which you want. :P

  • @TheFreshEC then the fourth one sucked tho :P it was supposed to be a crusade.whats your steam? I will add you from there.right now I will be offline tho

  • @SuperThecrap Amdis_Antal is my steam account, username is Crusader i guess. Steam is a bit unclear to me. And all the Crusades sucked and failed with exception of the First.

  • @TheFreshEC I actually like the third one better.since the victory goes to the most deserving. its pretty interesting too and its age is pretty nice too.he first didnt failed maybe but its still sad for me.I dont know about the second one.I heard the eastern romans betrayed the crusaders on the route.that sucks indeed if it is true

  • @SuperThecrap can i ask where you are from then? And no the Byzantine Empire (Eastern Romans) did not betrayed the Crusaders it was opposide. The Byzantine Emperor asked for help from the western nations, the pope answered with the First Crusade to take terretory's taken by the Turks (Ottomans) but when they did, they keeped them for there self and so forming the Crusader States. The Byzantines where already on the cliff of collapse, they where poor, losing terretory, lacking in modern weapons.

  • @TheFreshEC not Ottomans Seljuks.the ottomans appeared way more later.Im Turkish myself and hopefully you dont have a problem with that.I treat people with respect no matter what if they deserve it of course.no need to insult people for the things in the past right?

  • @SuperThecrap I have no problem with that at all, i got allot of friends that are Turkish. The past is nothing more then great story's where you can learn from. Oh yea i forgot that, i thought the Ottomans where the same as Seljuks lol, but hey thats where discussion is for to leanr more things :D

    Did you added me already?

  • @SuperThecrap The Hospitallers where already in Jerusalem before the Crusades begon, and when Jerusalem was taken by the Western Christians they became a Religious and Military Order under its own charter, and was charged with the care and defence of the Holy Land. Following the conquest of the Holy Land by Islamic forces, the Order operated from Rhodes, over which it was sovereign, and later from Malta where it administered a vassal state under the Spanish viceroy of Sicily.

  • @TheFreshEC still they are better than templars imo.you seem to know alot about these orders

  • @SuperThecrap Yea i agree, but thats because im from Malta and thanks i know indeed allot of history in general i also studied myself in these orders and the Crusades. So if you want to know anything i can try to explain things to you. :) (i love to talk and discuss these subjects allot)

  • @TheFreshEC I love researching medieval era but wasnt that interested in orders of knights but instead kingdoms and way of life in medieval era.I like talking about that stuff too.believe me there are more medieval type games than modern era ones in my library and same goes for books.believe it or not but games and books prove more useful than what school can teach me.I learned many things from them.

  • @SuperThecrap My knownledge is spread in all sort of time periods, kingdoms but mostly in military history.

School could not teach me anything in history i already knew everything they wanted to discuss with us. so it was more like me teaching them lol. That was already when i was 6 or 7 years old. Because that age i watched allot of documantaires with my dad. I also know allot about World War 2.

  • @TheFreshEC I was never interested in modern era wars tho.I much prefer the warfare of swords spears bows and horses! they are more interesting I say.you ever heard of mount and blade? that game is not a shitty medieval like rpg instead its like you live inside a medieval world.and the fighting is realistic too.best there ever is.I get entertained and decide to research more.books do the same thing.if you read a historically accurate one its awesome.

  • @SuperThecrap Yea i played Mount & Blade Warband, i liked it to but my computer was not that good so it was pretty laggy. Now i got a beast PC so i play other games, now im playing Assassins Creed Brotherhood. That gives you a very good impression to. I like the first Assassins Creed better just because its in the Crusades you know.

  • @TheFreshEC ah you are lucky.since I got a new ram I thought it would be better but now I cant play mods! I cant play fire and sword either without fearing the game might crash.and now same goes for warband.also I bought the new ram for another game and IT DOESNT WORK EITHER!!
