The main flaw with this game as compared to the other DKC games is too many of the levels involve rope climbing, turning into an elephant, flipping switches..In sum, there is too little of the core DKC mechanics we love. Consequently, Kiddy is a useless character because he is similar to Donkey Kong, yet the levels are designed for Dixie, or for an elephant, tobogan etc.

Think the word you're looking for is gimmicky, since each of the new levels for the various archetypes usually introduces a new mechanic of sorts to keep things fresh, like lightning, or toxic water which switches your controls around, or a saw running through the tree, low gravity and so on. I know where you're coming from either way.

you did awsome 5/5 and yes i actually liked this game dispite the failer of it's remakes. Any ways i'm ganna look for more speed runs hope to see some from you.

Freakin awesome. People need to realize that this is not a simple side scroller like Super Mario Brothers where you can just run from on end to the other.

Yeah, I know... Riverside Race was good, but it wasn't good enough for me...
But it's not like they're going to remake it again, especially after the failure of the GBA version.

That was Parry the Parallel bird - she'll match your moves by hovering above you. If you jump, she'll go higher. But she's mainly used to get higher things out of reach.
