Question...Mainly new but catching on somewhat quick. So far just cruising down slopes at snowboard parks. So good amount of turning happening. Eventually I'd like to mess around with small jumps though. Would this be a good board for me. Or maybe point me towards another good sierra board? Also I'm 6'0 and around 155 with a size 12shoes, so i believe that would be 30 mondo? Anyways, what size board do you think I need for freestyle board? Thx 4 your time and liking the videos you guys make.
My Boot size is 10.5, would the width size of the 158 work fine with the boot size? This is my main concern with the board, I wold prefer the 157W but apparently is out of stock.
Hi. I was considering between the cambered and the rockered Crews. I consider myself an intermediate rider in variable conditions. I'm 5"9 130 lbs. Which board would I get the most out of, and what length for the cambered Crew? Thanks.

Hi, I'm a beginner looking to buy my first board. I'm 5'10, 180 pounds with a size 12 boot. Could i ride the 158 crew or would it be too narrow? Would the Team or 160W be better choices?
Hi, Im new to this, and just about to take sierra crew as my first board, Im 6', 170lbs, boot size about 9.5-10, which board size will be better for me? thanks~
@kakaxt - You should check out the 158 Sierra Crew. You also may want to check out the Sierra Reverse Crew in a 159. The Reverse Crew will be a bit easier to progress on, being Rockered.
Hi there, question I was wondering someone could give me some input on. I'm 6'1 and weigh about 194 lbs with a size 12 boot size. Would this board be good for me or is my boot size too big? The reviews are awesome and it sounds sweet.
hi i'm 5'8'', 195 lbs, and i believe my boot size is 10 (i forgot; i've only gone two times). I was wondering if you suggest this board or the sierra team, and i'm looking for an all-mountain board that i could still take to the park if i;m up for it. also which size should i get?
@hockey833 - It actually locks onto rails really well. The camber allows you to lock on better than a soft rocker board for many tricks. It is a mid flex so much harder to press than a rocker board.
@ARX7ARBALESTZ7 - The difference is the 157wide is 1cm longer and 9mm wider. The 157wide is better for someone that is a bit heavier and has a 11+ boot size.
@MySports4life - I would say the 157wide. It will be a bit long until you get a bit heavier, but will have the best width for your feet and will work well for your height.
Im going down maximum blue diamonds now, and i'm also doing jumps. I'm mostly looking to improve it jumps/rails/boxes etc but i'm also looking for some stability when riding down the blues.
What would you suggest for me as a board? I've also read about the Seirra Stunt, what about that?
hey, this is meant more for backcountry and carving, if you want to do some park progression, you are going to want a flexible twin. the capita sierrascope is sierra's best park board, i would recommend it for park progression
@fairfaxsurfshoprider i am 5'8" and 170 (yeah i need to work out) and the board would be great for an intermediate. this board is not soft at all. it's nice and stiff for carving and for booters, but it isn't crazy stiff. it does take a bit more strength to press it, but that stiffness makes for really good pop.
i say get this board instead of buying a burton custom. sure, you're giving up having ICS, but this board is just a custon with 4x2 which i prefer. for bindings, i use Union Contacts
for sure, technically the crew is my first new board. lol i actually learned on a 1996 burton custom that i found on craigslist. honestly, buying this board for $250 is a steal. what other boards have the same amount of tech for that price? lol buy it now and have tons of fun

@lespaul862 - Go with the wide version and it will work great.

@sierrasnowboard So with the 160w you reckon I won't get any toe/heel drag even with size 12 boots?

@lespaul862 - You will not.

@sierrasnowboard Also.. I'm primarily gonna be going on groomers since we don't really get pow in socal. does that make a difference?

Also, what does the video mean when it says it has "directional shape" does that means its harder to ride switch?
macguy1100 2 years ago
It is twin other than the nose having a bigger scope than the tail.
The only time you really notice it is when riding switch in the powder.

The Stunt is super soft and buttery.
If you are looking for stability than this would be the choice.
If you are looking for the middle ground go with the Reverse Crew.

Is the 2010 Sierra Crew same as 2008 Burton Custom?
thanks
wow0yunnies 2 years ago
No, it is similar to the 2010 in ways of construction. but uses the molds, Camber Shape, of the 2008 Custom.
It has the more aggressive Camber Shape from old with construction of new with some Sierra Specific changes.
sierrasnowboard 2 years ago
so is that mean, the crew doesn't have new things like pressure distribution edges and lighting bolts?
thanks
wow0yunnies 2 years ago
No PDE or lightning bolts.
