Nice!!!! Always great to see someone who appreciates a true musical genius like Mark. I hope to someday make a pilgrimage to Cambridge to visit Mark Sandman square and talk with some Morphine fans and visit some of the places Morphine played. Up here in Oshawa, Ontario, Canada no one even knows who Morphine are outside of 1/10000 people. Hopefully you'll be playing when I come down, though it may be a few years before I can find the time.....:)

Out of curiosity, do you remember what tuning (and string gauge if notable) you used for this song? Given that Sandman played a bass-like guitar, the notes in this song sound awfully low for a normal guitar.

thanks! it's D open tuning - DADF#AD low to high. I use Elixir 80/20 bronze nanoweb 13s on my dobro.

@lolwutnub thank you! i am glad you found Morphine. I hope you will check out Mark Sandman's other projects as well - he is brilliant everywhere. I think a must have is the "Sandbox" CD. It has 2 CDs with music and a DVD. It took my love for music (not just Morphine or Mark Sandman) to a whole new level.

thank you! you are very kind. i can never do the original justice, but i have tried really hard not to ruin the song and to keep the feel of it and try to bring out the way the song resonates with me... i don't know what all that means or why i said it. there's magic in Mark Sandman's music and there is so much of it that even me covering a song in the street can bring some tiny bit of it.
