whats the use of comparing religion! people who believe in Christianity think christianity the best and people who believe in bhuddism think buddhism is de best!! <3 i will go with buddhism
Buddhism ( also Buddha) accept that God is exist, but Buddhists didn't worship God. They worship Buddhas ( many Buddha). why? Is that backward of Buddhism?
In Buddha history told that When Buddha didn't want teach people, God appeared telling him teaching people. Those mention that God knew Buddha thought, God knew the future, God knew everything. Why do Buddhists reject God to worship a human prince Buddha?
As this video, Jesus was the first youngest travelling student in the world.
What's the video mention? Christian was from Buddhism. It's Buddhism arrogant but It is big liar, stupid and nonsense.
What's your decision if you send your 14 yrs old son to US without his English and your relative? Back to 2000 years ago, how easy was it? fooling, fake, stupid document.
Jesus is the true. Buddha was looking for the true. Indian prince became to Buddha who had been still suffer. Buddha couldn't find his destiny. Buddha was a loser. That why before Buddha died, he regret and had mention to his disciples: In whole his life didn't teach any thing.
@MrWrongevolution Buddha taught alloving compassion. He taught man and women and all animals are equal.Buddha did away with the caste system. Jesus/god killed babies ,condoned slavery, condoned rape, condoned mass murder, condoned animal cruelty, and torment. BUDDHA ROCKS!!!!
@MrWrongevolution Did you read the buddhist scriptures? Buddha’s destiny was to be a great religious teacher. According to the buddhist scriptures he did what no man (even jesus) has done, attain nirvana.
You can tell us that you believe Jesus is the truth, and if you want to contribute, you can tell us why. But if the only way you can do this is to lie about another religion, don’t bother. Thats dishonest. and Weather your a buddhist or a christian, its wrong to lie.
@S01idsnake we do not hate you,we bless you tell anything you like my friend !! may you have the blessings of buddha !!! one day you will learn the truth & when that day comes it will be late for you to be an real human being
How can Christianity be religion when it was religious people (pharisees, scribes, sadducees) who were against Jesus?Christianity should not to be mixed up with religion or the term 'religion', Christianity is about knowing the only way to salvation (of our souls) is through the Lord Jesus Christ, Who is the only Way, there is no other way. Religions cause confusion and they are not of God because God is not a God of confusion. 1 Cor. 14:33
give up worldly desires?? no way, these desires are God-given, we have to enjoy them as much as we can but not pervert them... Christianity all the way
@annette37a well buddhism is a religion. but unlike most religions, it promotes, peace, truth, integrity. It values the discovery of knowledge and not ignorance.
Born from a Catholic family, became Atheist early teens, then to Buddhism at 19, I would never say Buddhism is better or more than any other rleigion or study
Christianity is Jewish Buddhism. Jesus preached Buddhism. There was no Christianity. The empire converted Buddhism to Christianity because it spread like wild fire. People want to be happy. The path to misery is Judaism, seeking to rule the world with money. The path to happiness is Christianity, a middle path. The path to bliss is Buddhism, a path to dissolving all fears and desires. All people are good. All religions are good, when used as intended. Protect yourself and good luck to us all.
@jackgoldman1 Buddha doesn't talk about GOD, a creator or whatever. jesus said he was the son of this God and added the holy spirit to this whole thing. so whatever he was he was not teaching Buddhism
buddhism is a fylosophy not a religion u can be christian and practice buddhism there was in ancient times a christian buddihism movement but the vatican as fearful and intolerant as it was had them slaughtered ofcourse
ok people , listen. I am pretty sure most christian would know the Jesus teaching of ' love your enemies and be kind to all beings'. And did u know that it is the teaching of buddha and buddhism is 500 years older than Christianity? Well, it explains everything. And i m not trying to offend christian but did u guys know the whereabout of Jesus when he was at the age of 14 to 30s? Well, do some research since it is not described in bible. Be reasonable people(extreme christians).
@enzeru2010 He was in Egypt lol it said it in the bible. God told Joseph to take Jesus and Mary to Egypt when Jesus was only a baby, which he did. So does that answer your question?
@northkoreanwar01 Jesus returned to Israel when we was a kid. In Luke 2:41–52 he was in a Jewish temple teaching the Priests when he was just a young boy. The years after that till the age of 29 or 30 is not mentioned in the bible at all.
@northkoreanwar01 Jesus all ready knew Gods will and it was his will for jesus to go to Asia. Thats where he learn the sacred wisdom of God and became enlightened. He then he came back to bring is message to Israel, he should not be worshiped but followed. If you think hes god then all you can do is worship him, but if you think he became one with god then you can truely follow him so that you too will enter the kingdom of god.
@TheBlizzid Complications, confusions, temptations, I am tired and a bit lost. Or am I? Can't tell which religion is correct, I choose the religion I am more comfortable---Christianity. Deep inside...I believe Christianity is the true religion.
@northkoreanwar01 Theres nothing wrong with Christianity, if it makes you better person in spiritual way them stick with. I consider myself as a christian but i see the bible in a more mystical interpretation while other people see it as a literal interpretation.
@TheBlizzid He never went to asia....wat r u talking about? and He wasnt enlightened.. He was already God.... since He was a baby.. since He was a born..
Hmm. I am a former Christian studying Buddhism & Hinduism. First, you can deduce this videographers bias toward Buddhism for the simple fact that almost 2/3 rds of the vide is about Jesus. He then quickly goes thru Buddhism with some mistakes. He pronounces Siddhartha Gautama wrong, he shows a pic of Lord Shiva and he fails to speak of the Middle Path or Way. Yes, monks are to give up worldly pleasures, etc; but not laypeople. Next time, do a bit more research on Buddhism and it's many sects.
@ yihaoZXP : We who practice Buddhism would never tell someone that they would go to hell just because they are different and believe in different things. We believe in reasons and consequences of behaviors. You should really think about the core idea of your religion, what is the meaning of it? Was it to tell people that they would go the hell? If that is the case,....you know, just think about it!!!
@anhoinguyen89 Christian intolerence at work. Christians have their beliefs just to comfort them. They usually are self centered and simple people. All of christianity (that people follow, not what Jesus told them to do for example) is based on selfish beliefs. They want to be special (made in the image of god), think that everyone who harms them goes to hell, that they will go to heaven... They just want this superiority status. They even have someone who died for them.
Those who believe in buddhism have only 5% knowledge.Yes,i know what is the buddha's story. The buddha is a hero to non-christians.But as you see,the Buddha is in hell. Those who pray to him will go to hell. Those who believe in christianity have 95% knowledge. For God is the creator of Earth, the man who made Earth beautiful. And God make us.
@yihaoZXP Actually christianity has been shown to be bullshit countless times. Each time you come up with a claim about god, it's shown to be wrong. There's not much stuff left in the bible that isn't wrong.
Anyway, some buddhists made more sacrifices for others than Jesus himself, if he even existed. I doubt you've acted like a "true" christian very often though. Just here, you're judging in god's place. And how about humility ? Christianity my ass.
whether buddhist or christian, whether u believe in jesus or buddha they both want people to be pure and the world to be peaceful. Man im a buddhist but the christian extremists are going way too far. "PRAY TO GOD AND U'll BE SENT TO HEAVEN" what the hell is this? They sure are a disgrace to chiristiaity. Religions are made to teach people values not miracles. You dun have to be buddhist or christian to be successful, just values.
Check out the meaning of Buddha and God before you judge. A Buddha means one who has eradicated greed, anger and delusion. A god on the other hand has not eradicated greed, anger and delusion.
A Buddha is the teacher of Gods and men. A Buddha is the Chief of the World. Read Dhammacakkapavatana sutta, the 1st discourse of the Buddha. In it, Buddha revealed that the gods in 10000 world rejoiced when the Buddha enlightened. which means a Buddha is perfect in conduct & knowledge
My fellow humans, buddhism is about finding the truth out for yourself, there are secret meditation and energy practices reserved for monks that can allow you to train your spirit to leave your body to investigate the spiritual realms for yourself, including the numerous heavens that exist, so technically you could meet up with jesus and other divine beings, like angels etc.according to buddhism jesus is considered a bodhisattva(a compassionate being of divine light out to save other souls)
people are so dumb. christ didnt say 'youll enter the kingdom if you believe in me". its not like fucking santa where he only comes if you believe. theres a strict moral guideline to follow in order to reach divinity. you can 'believe in christ' while still being an amoral dipshit. the whole idea of christianity was to become christ like. not to worship statues of him in million dollar buildings.
Whether you're saved by your belief in Christ or reach enlightenment by the teachings of the Buddha, your soul is saved. Why can't you quarrelers see that? Each religion or philosophy is different and will ultimately make sense to different people but they achieve the same goal--the salvation of souls and the bettering of this world. So why can't we all just put our pride away, stop being angry at each other, and agree to disagree?
@TheMisterYang Those are wise words. Unfortunately, that's not what many people are taught. As a Buddhist in the bible belt, I can attest to the fact that many are so willing to convert "nonbelievers" they forget any christian doctrine and act like there is a special prize for them at the end of the rainbow if they succeed. If not, they glory in your eternal damnation. It's not pleasant. Fortunately not all are like that, but the ones who are tend to spoil it for the rest.
Being a Buddhist is more accepting their view points and being one with nature, Its really not a religion as such but a way off life. Its more a path to enlightenment. Buddha teaches you to become one with your self and nature and let every living thing's Chi flow through your body. Buddhism really is truly a beautiful thing.
What this video shows is introductory. Jesus is a true cultivator and buddha refers to the fully enlightened one, the biggest in universe after all the hard cultivation process.
How many times would Jesus have to prove you people!!!...that he is alive. The first and the Last ..the creator of all..The GOD who represent himself as a Human for your sin.......Try and pray to Jesus if he is God..bring the name of Jesus and he will answer..Go!..His real..His listening..If he does not answer then call me a lier..
BTW, my previous message was in response to this claim by MessageInBlood1: "don't even compare the two...seriously..buddhism is the salvation while the other one is the path to confusion and chaos"...
Buddhism is essentially a religion about nothing and how to become nothing yourself. Everything that dedicated Buddhists are taught boils down to detachment from worldly life. Buddhism is inherently anti-social and it comes as no surprise that it has achieved very little in terms of human progress. People who are drawn to Buddhism are usually drawn to it for all the wrong reasons. Buddhism is not a comfort blanket for spiritually confused Westerners, there is no comfort to be found in Buddhism.
@unapologeticmind not a religion...but way of life. and u think christians are going far with their belief? they only have illusions on their side which is fate and believe in god. is tat what u call progree then? youre not doing anything by just having faith and god. To seek salvation, u must walk the path. there is no comfort to be found believeing in illusions either, my firend..lol....in fact some buddha monks have reached enlightment that they feel no pain, hunger, or saddness.
@MessageInBlood1 Christians have illusions? I'm agnostic so to me all religions hold illusions. What about Buddhism, you think it's all rationality? Wrong... Do you believe in incarnation, in Buddhist sacred scriptures, etc? That's all illusion and superstition to me. The question that I as an agnostic ask myself is which belief enables people to live more productive lives. Christianity is without doubt superior to Buddhism when considering its usefulness and contributions to society as a whole.
@unapologeticmind Christianity is not useful at all...u can prgress very far in life without it. Creating peace by letting go of selfish desiress and so on doesn't seem like an illusion to me. Buddhism is the only religion that actually makes sense. Being a christian does not make you give contribution to society. It all depends on you, regardless of your religion lol.
@unapologeticmind Buddhism is essentially about perception of an intrinsically inter-related world. One of many reasons Westerners like it is the self-empowerment aspect. True, if you like comfort based on someone else "saving" you, you had best turn to Krishna or Shiva, definitely the most capable demon killers of religious history. Personally though, I find them fun but "cartoony". Buddhism is for the intellectual, not for those who wish simply to devote themselves to a "Lord".
@opensourcebuddhism Christianity is probably more intellectual than any other religion, which is evidenced by its unprecedented philsophical heritage. Christianity was unavoidably infused with philosopy from its inception because of the tensions between the core concepts of Christianity and the realities of everyday life. This has generated some very deep philosophical ideas with a high level of abstraction. Consequently, many Christian theologians are philosophers and vice versa.
@unapologeticmind Christianity unapologetic, has always existed mostly in conflict with philosophy. "What has Athens to do with Jerusalem" shouted Tertullian. Indeed, non-Christian Greek philosophy will permeate the faith, but always there is the faith/knowledge tension. Buddhism is from the start, a philosophy, one of many Indian philosophies. There is no doubt Buddhism relies more on philosophy, Christianity, more on faith. I think there is no doubt about it.
Yes, Tertullian stated that but I'm sure you're aware that this line of reasoning lost out at the very start. Even Tertullian himself shows influence of Greek philosophy, his statement was more a case of arrogance and misguided zeal than official Christian policy. After all, Neoplatonism was very present in the works of St Augustine and also in Boethius' "Consolation of Philosophy" which was a highly regarded work by both kings and clerics in the Early Middle Ages...
...In the High Middle Ages (12th c.), Aristotelianism largely supplanted Neoplatonism. Aquinas relied heavily on Aristotle's philosophy and Aristotle's importance became second only to that of scripture, though even scripture itself inevitably got reinterpreted through the synthesis of Aristotle and the Bible. Aristotelian philosophy became the basis for education with the launch of universities in the High Middle Ages. No one could even become a theologian without mastering Aristotle's ideas...
@unapologeticmind Neo Platonism was philosophy Unapologetic. Read Celsus and see that the faith elements only "dumb down" the philosophy, from the non-Christian Roman perspective. Yes, Christianity dominated the European middle Ages, just as Confucianism dominated China, Hinduism India...so? The triumph of any culture is largely due to the superiority of its weapons, alas. Elsewise, Chinggis Khan wouldn't have dominated the globe with his tribal shamanism, this so-called "Tengerism".
@opensourcebuddhism I don't subscribe to cultural relativism, so I don't consider European modernity to be just another culture among a whole list of "equal cultures". Modernity is what has made it possible for us all to debate and exchange ideas on Youtube, not Buddhism, not Confucianism, not Hinduism. I do not ascribe modernity to Christianity itself, but I do acknowledge the fact that Christianity was conducive to science and modernity. I don't see that conduciveness in these other religions.
Blind adherence to any non-scientific doctrine is bad, whether Christianity or Buddhism. All religions need to accept the secular nature of society, the merits of science and the rules of secular philosophy for all theological discourse. Both Christianity and Buddhism accept the secular nature of socety, both have claims that are not scientific but remain open to science. They differ strongly though in that Buddhism lacks the Christian tradtiion of rational philosophical discourse and inquiry...
...So, when you say that Christianity "dumbs down" philosophy I cannot really agree with you on that. Some incompetent Christian theologians may well do that just like there are some incompetent secular philosophers guilty of the same. For the sake of clarity, by theologian I don't have in mind self-styled preachers from the Bible Belt, but professional theologians with doctorate degrees in philosophy and theology, who belong to one of the old traditional Christian denominations...
...Christian and secular philosophers play by the same rules of philosophy. Their papers are peer-reviewed and critiqued alike. Christians might display bias in their narrow interest in existential issues concerning God or Christian doctrine, but that's not a problem as long as they use the same rules of reasoning as their secular counterparts. Buddhism OTOH has always preferred fuzzy quasi-philosophical concepts infused with Eastern mysticism over clear and methodological reasoning...
@unapologeticmind "Christian and secular philosophers play by the same rules of philosophy. Their papers are peer-reviewed and critiqued alike." Lol. Dude, that is so lame. Wake up and smell the coffee. Have a great day. ;)
@unapologeticmind So...it hasn't to do with superior ideology in this instance, but to fortuitous timing...the Catholic/Protestant wars (300 plus years worth...still going on today) drove the European expansion, along with a fear of Islam and desire for Indian trade routes...nothing to do with Christianity per se. I doubt Jesus would've approved....
Fortuitous timing? Europe was in shambles after Rome's fall and the Islamic conquests, not what I'd call "fortuitous" timing. Yet, the Church rose to the occasion by keeping stability, by fostering Roman learning and by unifying the continent politically. While the cartoonish depiction of Europeans as unruly and ignorant barbarians is untrue, the situation was far from good between 500-1000. Christianity deserves credit for its role in making the most out of the least, what did others achieve?
@unapologeticmind I believe that you got a wrong interpretation here. Just because you're a Buddhist doesn't mean that HAVE to detach yourself from worldy life. That is only for the Buddhist monks who wishes to seek Enlightenment. Buddhism for the layman teaches them to avoid anything that can lead to more suffering as well as being kind to others, treating them with respect.
Our modern world was created by Christians, not by Buddhists. So, I agree that they cannot be compared in terms of achievements. As for salvation, that's a Christian concept, there's no salvation to be found in Buddhism... Christianity is a socially active religion, while Buddhism is inherently anti-social. Christians are encouraged to be active members of society, while Buddhists are discouraged. Luckily, there are few practicing Buddhists even in nominally Buddhist countries...
@unapologeticmind most of western countries were not east...lots of eastern nations don't even follow chrisitianity...mostly buddhism. they can be compared, im afraid. numbers of death and casualties caused by christianity= millions...buddhism= zero. and christianity continues to corrupt our society. it does not matter which one is social..what works is the one u shud go for! buddhism says interact with ppl but dont get too close to em, not to become pariah. there are tons of buddhists.
@MessageInBlood1 Christianity itself rarely caused wars, though God was invoked as support in warfare. The Church in fact stopped far more wars than it caused. In the Middle Ages when Europe was plagued by warfare, the Church acted as a mediator and enacted codes of conduct (such as the Peace/Truce of God). The Church was a reflection of the society as a whole, but it had a moderating effect when it came to violence. Christianity doesn't shy away from tackling social issues, like Buddhism does.
@unapologeticmind rofl...christianity caused TONS of wars..in fact christians actually started some of the wars. millions have died in the name of christianity. once and for all...christianity is EVIL.
rofl...christianity prevented TONS of wars..in fact christians actually directly intervened in order to stop some of the wars. millions of lives have been saved in the name of christianity. once and for all...christianity is GREAT.
@unapologeticmind "Our modern world was created by Christians, not by Buddhists."
rofl..i think u jus answered ur own question. yes the modern world christians created is fuked up in the ass with all the violence and killings going on. If it had been created by the buddhists, none of killing and bs would be happening. The world is crazy because christianity doesnt work. jus simply believing in illusions and god does not make u a good person. You must let go and forget those evil thoughts
@MessageInBlood1 Science created the modern world...not any religion....sorry! Yes, Christians pushed their religion all over the planet, but science got those missionaries there...not faith.
@opensourcebuddhism we are not talking about science..sorry! oh really? christianity is all over the world? o rly? only 2 billion ppl are christians in this world out of like 8 billion. and there are more non christians than christians
@opensourcebuddhism i replied the wrong message to the wrong person. disregard the first reply. As for your reply...YES!! i agree religion had nothing to do with modern society. christians think they created the modern world. The other person u are commenting on, "unapologeticmind' said christianity did it all, which is totally wrong. yes faith had nothing to do with this. therefore christianity is useless. nice comment
@opensourcebuddhism Christianity shaped medieval European society which in turn created the modern world and modern science. Science itself did not create things like parliamentarism and humanism, though it was of course the result of the same rational process of thinking which also lead to modern science. Greek philosophy was of course the main source of knowledge that medieval Europe built on, but it's hard to deny Christianity's role as the framework under which all this progress was made.
8:11 - Correction => Buddhist Psychology to be precise. Abhidhamma is a deeply elaborated analysis of what operates life itself = mind and matter, namely how these two interconnect and depend on each other; parsing the mental processes that leads to one's action. Defining the Abdhidhamma to be a "Buddhist Theology" is completely wrong since it is apparent that Buddhism reject the notion of a cosmological external independent ruling agent namely "the creator god" .
Buddhism is older than Christianity. There are somethings in Buddhism that can be used in life and Christianity and viseversa. Even if I as Christ do meditate and believe in harmony with the earth and all living creatures.
What about Gnostic Christianity? We give full respect to Buddhism and meditate as they do. Some of us have even become Buddhists. We do not base our faith on who Yeshua was as much as what he taught and are not limited to cannonised scripture. Christians could learn much from Buddism. Was Jesus, the man, the Son of God? We are all Sons of God. What entered him at babtism made him more than the man he was. There are also Gnostic Muslems and they are my brothers. We are pacifists.
Seriously, even im atheist, buddhism make lots sense to me than this stupid jesus christ... they all too scare of theyre not going to heaven. All they do in their life is bible study everyday in their lives like they want to go dead already, they want to go to heaven fast. yeah that stupid old hack who brainwash people the end of the day is may 21st lol...its not happening. Keep Brainwashing.
Just do good deeds to people, people will give good deeds back to you. how simple.
@M377777 Jesus was stupid that's why they hung him on a cross. Don't forget buddhism is a religion and you're an atheist; I'm sure you wouldn't like it either as you would have to give up all of your worldly possessions and money.
The traditionally accepted period in which the Judeochristian/Islamic patriarchal figure Abraham lived. Likely born in Ur Kaśdim or Haran and died in Machpelah, Canaan.
I very disapointed by you opensource you have buddha in one hand and christ in the other.
buddhism as no god to interving and ask for help as merit is only earn only by oneself, but chris as a all mighty god that defied that law of reality and physique to intervine,so chris is only supernatural so pagan on is on right
there is no bible of Buddhism cuz like now who has the bible has their own story like christain and some different religion they fight over religion and buddha doesn't want that to happen so he didn't watever shit in bible he made people a bible look at thoes people with orange robes monks... they are the bible of buddha christain priest black robes.. other religious black or white or blue robes look at monk robes looks like sun set colour.... blah blah blah so many religious they all are same..
@ansesh buddhist dont need bible nor should they print more of those bs golden books like what the christians do...what a waste of paper seriously..the true buddhists already have the knowledge and everything they need to reach salvation and peace.
@Laz24 it is not a question to be favaoured or not,is a question of understanding of where you are and who you are,and not what you will be or what you will become,
Obviously there are no of "boo-dis" who are still are blurred about the point stated. I remember one boo-dis once said " WHen you sit on shit , there isn't shit " ... if you can understand that now. By the way just in case you dont know, Buddha is fat man lying under a tree (side way) and smiling thinking that there many boo-dis idiot out there !....LOL
@MultiLooksee Jesus is the man that was created to proselytize Buddhism to the Jews in such a way that he fits with the Hebrew Scriptures and ideals. The Israelites were an extremely devout and proud people and would have viewed it as blasphemy if someone preached to them that a holy man was an Indian, and not one of "God's chosen people". Jesus was a figure created to conform Buddha to this mold.
@MultiLooksee So the history that has been written saying the last Buddha came 300+ years before Jesus are all wrong? You troll w/o any evidence or reasoning just like how your believe in delusion of who Jesus was instead of who people have actually made him out to be - Mary got knocked up by some dude she didn't want to admit (or she didn't know certain deeds create babies) and Jesus was born. The "wise men" believed what they wanted to believe and everyone followed that load of manure.
Your comments are absurd, Buddhism existed a good 500yrs before christianity did. Its more like jesus imitated the teachings of Buddha and added somethings on his own...
everything up to 6 57 sounds like bullshit to me i almost feel like its a form of slavery thats the way i felt when going to church i can really believe that buddhism is religion though i consider it philosophy and non dogmatic teachings without the god and jesus part
@mossberg451 rsv or kjv ezekiel 20:25-26 "Moreover I gave them statutes that were not good and ordinances by which they could not have life; and I defiled them through their very gifts in making them offer by fire all their first-born, that I might horrify them; I did it that they might know that I am the LORD.” BUDDHISM ROCKS NO CHILD SACRIFICE THERE
@EVSjahms this can happen i think that could be psychologically crippling. like thinking one is born a sinner and must obey god or burn in hell. a Taoist approach i think is valuable. Buddhism is much more gentle than Christianity when it comes to the psyche, but it is still bold in the since that it dismisses all desire. and that this desire is suffering. meditation and learning to let go, is very important. However, its the desire to create and express that makes us individuals and human...
@WordsofHarmony rsv or kjv ezekiel 20:25-26 "Moreover I gave them statutes that were not good and ordinances by which they could not have life; and I defiled them through their very gifts in making them offer by fire all their first-born, that I might horrify them; I did it that they might know that I am the LORD.” copy and paste expose immoral god
Science says how it happened in almost every fine detail and the missing pieces are being filled in fast. There is no big WHY question to be asked. There is no special reason or higher meaning for existence. I cold simply answer : "why not". Stop asking this non sensical question, why after why, but why, again and again. There is no why reason because one can not point out a meaning when there is none. Life, existence has no aim. There is always something because nothing is something to.
@isleofyew1 but you do realise thats not science. Science is Who what when where how and why. The 6 basic questions. If you are missing even one of those then its not science. Thats why evolution remains theoretical. because all 6 are equally important to answer. The Laws of thermodynamics and Motion are laws because they answer all 6. And the laws of Thermodynamics are considered Natural laws because they are proven tested tried and whatever else can be done to disprove a theory.
@bailong329 Al the questions about evolution are answered. Of course not the "who" question cause there is no who involved and no "why" also because there is no higher reason. Life + the universe is the way it is because this is the only formula for reality that works. All the other universes don't make it and also life can't develop in them. It's all or nothing. It's bewildering to us since we live in this perfect exceptional exception ONLY BECAUSE WE ARE THE LUCKY ONES and it's this or nothing
@isleofyew1 then its incomplete end of story. Who doesnt necessarily have to mean a person/animate object it can also be an inanimate object. And its too exceptional. Did you know a mathemitician actually figured the odds of self creation including evolution. The formula he used is called Probability As in the Law Of Probability. I also like to call it the Fuck you law not because it says whether or not its likely but because everything it applies to it is like someone giving you the finger.
@bailong329 anyway on the universe alone being created by chance, he did the math which was ( and his name was Roger Penrose by the way) 10 to the 10 to the 123 thousand zeros to one. Which is more then how many atoms there are 10 to the 78. For our "accidental" evolution to even occur the number required for that to happen is 10 to the 50 which is zero probability. In other words evolution universal self creation and such theoritically can happen but on the mathematical level its Impossible.
@bailong329 You see now why I call it the Fuck you law. Its almost rude what the math says aint it. What surprised me the most is that the guy who came up with this figure Roger Penrose is that his best friend is Stephen Hawking. You would think these two wouldnt even want to talk to each other.
@bailong329 The probability of a well balanced universe from the start are indeed tiny but we do not know how many times that dice has been thrown. The probability on life supporting planets is also minute, intelligent life even more but the sheer number of galaxy's and suns and planets is so vast that with mathematical certainty one can state that we are very likely not alone. Our mother probably has sisters in this or other galaxy's. This lady we live on is the one we have to care for o.c.
@isleofyew1 except thats not how things work in nature. Now your confusing probability with causality. The fact is it just doesnt happen that way. You will never see a bolder fall off a mountain 1000 times before it finnally falls. It just falls once and where it is where it goes. Roger Penrose factored all existing information every star every KNOWN star even every theoritical atom. It was all done to 1 meaning in a single occurance which is natural. You will never see 500 unconnected-
@bailong329 To compare faling bolders with posible universes that would have started not perfectly is silly. What I was answering is why this universe started out the right way to get this far. Nature does act in that way of trail and error al the time and I think this reality we live in is just luck. Hence the "Big Bingo Bang" in contrast with other many "big trail bangs". I disagree with your "1 meaning in a single natural event " hypothesis. First time lucky, I don't think so.
Reageren op deze video. The only way to have a first time perfect Big Bang would be if and when the past is just as much shaped by the future as the future is by the past. In that case there would be hardly any chance or gambling in nature at all. I am a hardline determinist as far as us humans is concerned but not in the field of the cosmos. Again for me this is all the result of trail and error and big numbers gambling by nature. The number of galaxy's, stars and planets supports me.
@isleofyew1 But the math which determines probability is against you. Thats why the law of probability exists. Math is an I DON'T Care dicipline because it is subjective just like truth understand and fact these are all subjective. You could be hardline Pherlanthropist ( yeah I know I mispelled that but bear with me) but that means nothing if subjective elements oppose you.
@bailong329 I don't agree. The number are in my favor due to the sheer vastness and amount of galaxy's. Even one in a billion million would work out in my favor and the numbers are much bigger than that. Hubble telescope research showed us that. Let's leave it at that. Nice chatting with you. Bye.
@isleofyew1 now your just trying to go around that fact and that doesnt work. Your not getting why its the Fuck you law. Its not like a stop sign that makes you say stop then go its more like somebody dropping a damn new york sky scrapper in your path. Its not something you can just work through in your favor. Math is something that cannot be broken. 1+1 is always going to be 2 no matter what. Your probably going to use theoritical mathematics but then 2 systems have to take over-
@bailong329 one is Aukums razor which basically means if its theoritical even if its popular its gotta go you cant use it no questions asked. What remains is the simpler answer. ( The proper use of the term some people try to think that its the theory with the fewest questions but its not if its a theory it has to go) the other is called the principle of plenitude which goes hand in hand with probability
@bailong329 it says that there can be no possibilities that remain as possibilities but are unrealized throughout eternity. TO better understand what this means suppose a monkey is at a typewriter and will type a Shakespeare sonnet straight off may be a minute, but if he remains typing for long enough the probability increases indefinitely and it becomes increasingly surprising if he does not type one.
@bailong329 with that said even if the whole universe supported you aukums razor says no because this is only theory it maybe possible and it maybe well supported but the math does not support so it must be done away with. Plenitude also cancels it out because even if we watched a ball of mass ( big bang) remain stationary for a long time and did nothing but watch it for billions of millions of years the chances of it doing something is increasingly unlikely unless it does something from the-
@bailong329 start of that long wait. You cant just simply move around these facts. Facts are a 3 edged sword. The fact will be by itself on one edge. The 2 remaining edges are just 2 different views of that same edge. This is why its subjective and it doesnt care what your view is. Your just another edge.
@bailong329 I know about the monkey typing and the maths that say that if he types long enough he might by chance write that sonnet. By chance I believe the Big Bingo Bang happened, perfect from the start. The countless Big Bang misfires happened to but time did not exist and they can all be multiplied by zero r

@MrWrongevolution Did you read the buddhist scriptures? Buddha’s destiny was to be a great religious teacher. According to the buddhist scriptures he did what no man (even jesus) has done, attain nirvana.
You can tell us that you believe Jesus is the truth, and if you want to contribute, you can tell us why. But if the only way you can do this is to lie about another religion, don’t bother. Thats dishonest. and Weather your a buddhist or a christian, its wrong to lie.

1 Cor. 14:33

If that is the case,....you know, just think about it!!!
anhoinguyen89 4 months ago
@anhoinguyen89 Christian intolerence at work. Christians have their beliefs just to comfort them. They usually are self centered and simple people. All of christianity (that people follow, not what Jesus told them to do for example) is based on selfish beliefs. They want to be special (made in the image of god), think that everyone who harms them goes to hell, that they will go to heaven... They just want this superiority status. They even have someone who died for them.

In it, Buddha revealed that the gods in 10000 world rejoiced when the Buddha enlightened. which means a Buddha is perfect in conduct & knowledge

people are so dumb. christ didnt say 'youll enter the kingdom if you believe in me". its not like fucking santa where he only comes if you believe. theres a strict moral guideline to follow in order to reach divinity. you can 'believe in christ' while still being an amoral dipshit. the whole idea of christianity was to become christ like. not to worship statues of him in million dollar buildings.

Buddhism is not a comfort blanket for spiritually confused Westerners, there is no comfort to be found in Buddhism.
unapologeticmind 6 months ago
@unapologeticmind not a religion...but way of life. and u think christians are going far with their belief? they only have illusions on their side which is fate and believe in god. is tat what u call progree then? youre not doing anything by just having faith and god. To seek salvation, u must walk the path. there is no comfort to be found believeing in illusions either, my firend..lol....in fact some buddha monks have reached enlightment that they feel no pain, hunger, or saddness.
MessageInBlood1 6 months ago
@MessageInBlood1 Christians have illusions? I'm agnostic so to me all religions hold illusions. What about Buddhism, you think it's all rationality? Wrong... Do you believe in incarnation, in Buddhist sacred scriptures, etc? That's all illusion and superstition to me. The question that I as an agnostic ask myself is which belief enables people to live more productive lives. Christianity is without doubt superior to Buddhism when considering its usefulness and contributions to society as a whole.
unapologeticmind 6 months ago
@unapologeticmind Christianity is not useful at all...u can prgress very far in life without it. Creating peace by letting go of selfish desiress and so on doesn't seem like an illusion to me. Buddhism is the only religion that actually makes sense. Being a christian does not make you give contribution to society. It all depends on you, regardless of your religion lol.
MessageInBlood1 6 months ago
@unapologeticmind Buddhism is essentially about perception of an intrinsically inter-related world. One of many reasons Westerners like it is the self-empowerment aspect. True, if you like comfort based on someone else "saving" you, you had best turn to Krishna or Shiva, definitely the most capable demon killers of religious history. Personally though, I find them fun but "cartoony". Buddhism is for the intellectual, not for those who wish simply to devote themselves to a "Lord".
opensourcebuddhism 6 months ago
@opensourcebuddhism Christianity is probably more intellectual than any other religion, which is evidenced by its unprecedented philsophical heritage. Christianity was unavoidably infused with philosopy from its inception because of the tensions between the core concepts of Christianity and the realities of everyday life. This has generated some very deep philosophical ideas with a high level of abstraction. Consequently, many Christian theologians are philosophers and vice versa.
unapologeticmind 6 months ago
@unapologeticmind Christianity unapologetic, has always existed mostly in conflict with philosophy. "What has Athens to do with Jerusalem" shouted Tertullian. Indeed, non-Christian Greek philosophy will permeate the faith, but always there is the faith/knowledge tension. Buddhism is from the start, a philosophy, one of many Indian philosophies. There is no doubt Buddhism relies more on philosophy, Christianity, more on faith. I think there is no doubt about it.
opensourcebuddhism 6 months ago
Yes, Tertullian stated that but I'm sure you're aware that this line of reasoning lost out at the very start. Even Tertullian himself shows influence of Greek philosophy, his statement was more a case of arrogance and misguided zeal than official Christian policy. After all, Neoplatonism was very present in the works of St Augustine and also in Boethius' "Consolation of Philosophy" which was a highly regarded work by both kings and clerics in the Early Middle Ages...
unapologeticmind 6 months ago
...In the High Middle Ages (12th c.), Aristotelianism largely supplanted Neoplatonism. No one could even become a theologian without mastering Aristotle's ideas...
unapologeticmind 6 months ago
@unapologeticmind Neo Platonism was philosophy Unapologetic. Read Celsus and see that the faith elements only "dumb down" the philosophy, from the non-Christian Roman perspective. Yes, Christianity dominated the European middle Ages, just as Confucianism dominated China, Hinduism India...so? The triumph of any culture is largely due to the superiority of its weapons, alas. Elsewise, Chinggis Khan wouldn't have dominated the globe with his tribal shamanism, this so-called "Tengerism".
opensourcebuddhism 6 months ago
@opensourcebuddhism I don't subscribe to cultural relativism, so I don't consider European modernity to be just another culture among a whole list of "equal cultures". Modernity is what has made it possible for us all to debate and exchange ideas on Youtube, not Buddhism, not Confucianism, not Hinduism. I do not ascribe modernity to Christianity itself, but I do acknowledge the fact that Christianity was conducive to science and modernity. I don't see that conduciveness in these other religions.
unapologeticmind 6 months ago
Blind adherence to any non-scientific doctrine is bad, whether Christianity or Buddhism. All religions need to accept the secular nature of society, the merits of science and the rules of secular philosophy for all theological discourse. Both Christianity and Buddhism accept the secular nature of socety, both have claims that are not scientific but remain open to science. They differ strongly though in that Buddhism lacks the Christian tradtiion of rational philosophical discourse and inquiry...
unapologeticmind 6 months ago
...So, when you say that Christianity "dumbs down" philosophy I cannot really agree with you on that. Some incompetent Christian theologians may well do that just like there are some incompetent secular philosophers guilty of the same. For the sake of clarity, by theologian I don't have in mind self-styled preachers from the Bible Belt, but professional theologians with doctorate degrees in philosophy and theology, who belong to one of the old traditional Christian denominations...
unapologeticmind 6 months ago
...Christian and secular philosophers play by the same rules of philosophy.

TheChoice264 6 months ago
@unapologeticmind So...it hasn't to do with superior ideology in this instance, but to fortuitous timing...the Catholic/Protestant wars (300 plus years worth...still going on today) drove the European expansion, along with a fear of Islam and desire for Indian trade routes...nothing to do with Christianity per se. I doubt Jesus would've approved....
opensourcebuddhism 6 months ago
Fortuitous timing? Europe was in shambles after Rome's fall and the Islamic conquests, not what I'd call "fortuitous" timing. Yet, the Church rose to the occasion by keeping stability, by fostering Roman learning and by unifying the continent politically. While the cartoonish depiction of Europeans as unruly and ignorant barbarians is untrue, the situation was far from good between 500-1000. Christianity deserves credit for its role in making the most out of the least, what did others achieve?
unapologeticmind 6 months ago
@unapologeticmind I believe that you got a wrong interpretation here. Just because you're a Buddhist doesn't mean that HAVE to detach yourself from worldy life. That is only for the Buddhist monks who wishes to seek Enlightenment. Buddhism for the layman teaches them to avoid anything that can lead to more suffering as well as being kind to others, treating them with respect.

don't even compare the two...seriously..buddhism is the salvation while the other one is the path to confusion and chaos.
MessageInBlood1 7 months ago
Our modern world was created by Christians, not by Buddhists. So, I agree that they cannot be compared in terms of achievements. As for salvation, that's a Christian concept, there's no salvation to be found in Buddhism... Christianity is a socially active religion, while Buddhism is inherently anti-social. Christians are encouraged to be active members of society, while Buddhists are discouraged. Luckily, there are few practicing Buddhists even in nominally Buddhist countries...
unapologeticmind 6 months ago
@unapologeticmind most of western countries were not east...lots of eastern nations don't even follow chrisitianity...mostly buddhism. they can be compared, im afraid. numbers of death and casualties caused by christianity= millions...buddhism= zero. and christianity continues to corrupt our society. it does not matter which one is social..what works is the one u shud go for! buddhism says interact with ppl but dont get too close to em, not to become pariah. there are tons of buddhists.
MessageInBlood1 6 months ago
@MessageInBlood1 Christianity itself rarely caused wars, though God was invoked as support in warfare. The Church in fact stopped far more wars than it caused. In the Middle Ages when Europe was plagued by warfare, the Church acted as a mediator and enacted codes of conduct (such as the Peace/Truce of God). The Church was a reflection of the society as a whole, but it had a moderating effect when it came to violence. Christianity doesn't shy away from tackling social issues, like Buddhism does.

NorthNorth2009 8 months ago
Buddhism teaches righteousness and how to go through earth by practising good deeds but then forgets one very important concept: God
Christianity became polytheistic throughout the years, distorting the true concept of worship Jesus (pbuh) have taught.
So the first (buddhism) is a pagan lifestyle and the second a lie.

Good video but it's obvious that Christinanity was favored over Buddhism.

The "wise men" believed what they wanted to believe and everyone followed that load of manure.
kaoson2K8 9 months ago
@MultiLooksee
Your comments are absurd, Buddhism existed a good 500yrs before christianity did. Its more like jesus imitated the teachings of Buddha and added somethings on his own...

So in Buddhism, your greatest desire becomes to have no desires. The harder you try to get rid of desire, the more desire wells up in you.
EVSjahms 1 year ago
@EVSjahms this can happen i think that could be psychologically crippling. like thinking one is born a sinner and must obey god or burn in hell. a Taoist approach i think is valuable. Buddhism is much more gentle than Christianity when it comes to the psyche, but it is still bold in the since that it dismisses all desire. and that this desire is suffering. meditation and learning to let go, is very important. However, its the desire to create and express that makes us individuals and human...

There is always something because nothing is something to.
isleofyew1 1 year ago
@isleofyew1 but you do realise thats not science. Science is Who what when where how and why. The 6 basic questions. If you are missing even one of those then its not science. Thats why evolution remains theoretical. because all 6 are equally important to answer. The Laws of thermodynamics and Motion are laws because they answer all 6. And the laws of Thermodynamics are considered Natural laws because they are proven tested tried and whatever else can be done to disprove a theory.
bailong329 1 year ago
@bailong329 Al the questions about evolution are answered. Of course not the "who" question cause there is no who involved and no "why" also because there is no higher reason. Life + the universe is the way it is because this is the only formula for reality that works. All the other universes don't make it and also life can't develop in them. It's all or nothing. It's bewildering to us since we live in this perfect exceptional exception ONLY BECAUSE WE ARE THE LUCKY ONES and it's this or nothing
isleofyew1 1 year ago
@isleofyew1 then its incomplete end of story. Who doesnt necessarily have to mean a person/animate object it can also be an inanimate object. And its too exceptional. Did you know a mathemitician actually figured the odds of self creation including evolution. The formula he used is called Probability As in the Law Of Probability. I also like to call it the Fuck you law not because it says whether or not its likely but because everything it applies to it is like someone giving you the finger.
bailong329 1 year ago
@bailong329 anyway on the universe alone being created by chance, he did the math which was ( and his name was Roger Penrose by the way) 10 to the 10 to the 123 thousand zeros to one. Which is more then how many atoms there are 10 to the 78. For our "accidental" evolution to even occur the number required for that to happen is 10 to the 50 which is zero probability. In other words evolution universal self creation and such theoritically can happen but on the mathematical level its Impossible.
bailong329 1 year ago
@bailong329 You see now why I call it the Fuck you law. Its almost rude what the math says aint it. What surprised me the most is that the guy who came up with this figure Roger Penrose is that his best friend is Stephen Hawking. You would think these two wouldnt even want to talk to each other.
bailong329 1 year ago
@bailong329 The probability of a well balanced universe from the start are indeed tiny but we do not know how many times that dice has been thrown. The probability on life supporting planets is also minute, intelligent life even more but the sheer number of galaxy's and suns and planets is so vast that with mathematical certainty one can state that we are very likely not alone. Our mother probably has sisters in this or other galaxy's. This lady we live on is the one we have to care for o.c.
isleofyew1 1 year ago
@isleofyew1 except thats not how things work in nature. Now your confusing probability with causality. The fact is it just doesnt happen that way. You will never see a bolder fall off a mountain 1000 times before it finnally falls. It just falls once and where it is where it goes. Roger Penrose factored all existing information every star every KNOWN star even every theoritical atom. It was all done to 1 meaning in a single occurance which is natural. You will never see 500 unconnected-

@bailong329 volcanoes going off at once or 500 supernovas occuring at one time and in the same area. It just doesnt happen.

@bailong329 actually I did that number wrong I should have said 5 billion
bailong329 1 year ago
@bailong329 To compare faling bolders with posible universes that would have started not perfectly is silly. What I was answering is why this universe started out the right way to get this far. Nature does act in that way of trail and error al the time and I think this reality we live in is just luck. Hence the "Big Bingo Bang" in contrast with other many "big trail bangs". I disagree with your "1 meaning in a single natural event " hypothesis. First time lucky, I don't think so.
isleofyew1 1 year ago
Reageren op deze video. The only way to have a first time perfect Big Bang would be if and when the past is just as much shaped by the future as the future is by the past. In that case there would be hardly any chance or gambling in nature at all. I am a hardline determinist as far as us humans is concerned but not in the field of the cosmos. Again for me this is all the result of trail and error and big numbers gambling by nature. The number of galaxy's, stars and planets supports me.
isleofyew1 1 year ago
@isleofyew1 But the math which determines probability is against you. Thats why the law of probability exists. Math is an I DON'T Care dicipline because it is subjective just like truth understand and fact these are all subjective. You could be hardline Pherlanthropist ( yeah I know I mispelled that but bear with me) but that means nothing if subjective elements oppose you.
bailong329 1 year ago
@bailong329 I don't agree. The number are in my favor due to the sheer vastness and amount of galaxy's. Even one in a billion million would work out in my favor and the numbers are much bigger than that. Hubble telescope research showed us that. Let's leave it at that. Nice chatting with you. Bye.
isleofyew1 1 year ago
@isleofyew1 now your just trying to go around that fact and that doesnt work. Your not getting why its the Fuck you law. Its not like a stop sign that makes you say stop then go its more like somebody dropping a damn new york sky scrapper in your path. Its not something you can just work through in your favor. Math is something that cannot be broken. 1+1 is always going to be 2 no matter what. Your probably going to use theoritical mathematics but then 2 systems have to take over-
bailong329 1 year ago
@bailong329 one is Aukums razor which basically means if its theoritical even if its popular its gotta go you cant use it no questions asked. What remains is the simpler answer. ( The proper use of the term some people try to think that its the theory with the fewest questions but its not if its a theory it has to go) the other is called the principle of plenitude which goes hand in hand with probability
bailong329 1 year ago
@bailong329 it says that there can be no possibilities that remain as possibilities but are unrealized throughout eternity. TO better understand what this means suppose a monkey is at a typewriter and will type a Shakespeare sonnet straight off may be a minute, but if he remains typing for long enough the probability increases indefinitely and it becomes increasingly surprising if he does not type one.
bailong329 1 year ago
@bailong329 with that said even if the whole universe supported you aukums razor says no because this is only theory it maybe possible and it maybe well supported but the math does not support so it must be done away with. Plenitude also cancels it out because even if we watched a ball of mass ( big bang) remain stationary for a long time and did nothing but watch it for billions of millions of years the chances of it doing something is increasingly unlikely unless it does something from the-
bailong329 1 year ago
@bailong329 start of that long wait. You cant just simply move around these facts. Facts are a 3 edged sword. The fact will be by itself on one edge. The 2 remaining edges are just 2 different views of that same edge. This is why its subjective and it doesnt care what your view is. Your just another edge.
bailong329 1 year ago
@bailong329 I know about the monkey typing and the maths that say that if he types long enough he might by chance write that sonnet. By chance I believe the Big Bingo Bang happened, perfect from the start. The countless Big Bang misfires happened to but time did not exist and they can all be multiplied by zero r
